As with most little girls, Riley absolutely loves all things pink. We recently had a mommy and me day together and spent part of our morning at the local children’s theater for the performance of Pinkalicious, one of her all time favorite books. It was a big hit!

Evenings in our house just before bed are some of the most treasured moments of my day.
Why? Well, this guy is one reason.
After bath, he immediately starts saying “two” over and over. Mom or dad counts to two and baby flies onto a pile of pillows. This boy squeals with delight and wants to keep going again and again.
Then he’s usually up for a game of hide-in-seek, and you’ll most definitely know he’s ready to play when you see this:
He runs around the house saying “see you” or “r you?” (where are you?)!
Once bedtime hits, Braden usually falls asleep pretty quickly because he’s so worn out from playing!

I cannot believe how fast this school year flew by! We have been so blessed by UUMC these past few years. The staff at this school have such amazing hearts and are so invested in these kids. Riley was (once again) blessed by three teachers who have such a heart for the Lord and raising up these children to love Him. We will really miss this school, but will hopefully be back next year for Braden!
Yesterday I participated in my first ever 5k race…and I actually ran the whole course! The life group we belong to at church volunteers our time to Boystown, where we spend time on a monthly basis with kids in one particular home. We have gotten to know them very well over the last several months, and yesterday we had the opportunity to race with them in the 1st annual Boystown Race for Prevention of Child Abuse.
I had planned on just doing the 1-mile fun run with Josh and the kids, but my friend Keri encouraged me to run the 5k instead. Keri, our other friend Jennifer, and I have been running trails together on a weekly basis over the last couple of months. They have been such a great influence on me. Up until the last few months, I haven’t had much desire to “get back in shape”, but with their encouragement, I’ve been running through the neighborhood and meeting on weekends for trail runs.
