Bear Lake Trip

We went to our family cabin up Logan Canyon this weekend, and met up with all of my family, except for Michael and Tarah, they couldn't make it :( We all spent two nights at the cabin, playing games and hanging out. Then on Saturday we went to Bear Lake and spent the day hanging out on the Beach and riding jet skis, and of course we had delicious famous raspberry shakes. It was a hot, beautiful day and everyone had so much fun!
I love that we are close enough now to be able to do these fun things with the family. We haven't been able to go to our cabin for so long, and now I'm sure we will go quite a bit, since it's so close. I loved driving through Logan, it brought back so many memories of my college days, I love it there! The drive up the canyon was awesome, I forgot how beautiful it is there. Such a fun weekend!

Starving Child and Update

I can't find the Journal I have been keeping about Jackson, it's driving me crazy!! I'm sure its in one of our many boxes of stuff that we kept packed. So I need to jot down a few things so that I will remember when I do find it. (Not really interesting for most of you).
He is now 18 months...
-He has had a HUGE increase in appetite. Eating everything and anything in sight!
-He does the eating sign when he is hungry (just picked up on it) and says "Meat, Meat." (Eat)
-Especially loves, nanas, grapes, cheese, yoey yoey (yogurt) and broccoli.
-Loves books! Asks to read stories constantly throughout the day, especially before bed. Cuddles up on my lap and listens really well. So cute!
-Loves balls! Likes to throw them down the stairs (thanks mom), and throwing them to Coco.
-Loves to kick the ball with mom and dad. Little soccer player!
-Loves to wrestle with daddy. Never wants to stop!
-Says "Da doo" (thank you) all the time. Whenever he gets somethings or gives something. Love it!
-Big helper. Always wants to help unload the dishwasher and help with the laundry and mopping. (Can't get anything done).
-Things I hear him saying to himself a lot...Sings EIEIO, One, two, freeee, Yeah (not sure why he says yeah after three??)
-Says "Hi Graga" (Hi Grandpa) whenever he sees his grandpas.
-Says "Weeeee" everytime he sees a slide, swing or anything with wheels (bike, motorcycles etc.)
-Insists on throwing his own diapers away. Says "way, way" and waits for me to take him to the garbage outside.
-Brings me a diaper when he is stinky.
-Brings me his "night, night" when he is tired. (His sleepers, which he is very attached to).
-Loves to put things away when I ask him. Thinks it's a game. Nice!!
-Loves to go to the library.
-Calls us Mommy and daddy now. (Instead of mama, and dada).

This is what I spent my entire day doing today. Feeding Jackson!!! He wanted a full meal like every two hours. We even had to leave the library early because he was frantically telling me "Meat, Meat". Exhausting!

Our time in AK

Here are a few pictures from our trip to Alaska. I wish I would have taken more, but Jackson was a handful while I was there and kept me pretty busy! My dad put together a little mountain biking trip. It was a 12 mile ride through some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. The mountain sides were just covered with bright purple fireweed. It was so dissapointing that the only camera we had was on our cell phones. The ride was so fun and beautiful, but a challenge for me. Our family does a lot of rode biking, but mountain biking was new for us. Of course everyone just left me in the dust...well, my dad stayed back with me, while I hit every rock and tree stump in sight and fell of my bike every other second. This trail was not a beginner trail, but coming down was so fun, and I started to get the hang of it! My mom and I probably had about 30 bruises each all over our bodies.
It was fun to be up there with my family, and let Jackson spend a lot of time with everyone and play with his cousin Wesley, but next time I'm not going without Nathan!
