Instagram Revisited - November - Featuring 30 Days of Thanks

11/1/2014 - Teachin' them young. #3yearsold #parenthood #ilovemykids

Nov 1 - Thankful that the rain slowed down/stopped just long enough that our kids got to go trick or treating as planned. #30daysofthanks

Nov 2 - My heart is overflowing with gratitude for my calling today, the sweet kids I get to serve (photo from when James was born), and the leaders I have had the pleasure to serve with. We got a new presidency today. Lots of tears saying goodbye to the old presidency! But excited to serve with the new presidency. #30daysofthanks #iloveprimary

Nov 3 - Thankful that my rockstar hubby still makes time to wash a dryer rack full of dishes before he leaves for seminary even though he has tons of work he wakes up at 3am in the morning to do. #30daysofthanks #ilovemyhubby

Nov 4 - I'm thankful for our blog! Been spending the day walking down memory lane preparing to print out the 2012 and 2013 posts. This has turned into such a great family record. I hope to keep it up. #30daysofthanks

Nov 5 - This darling middle child of mine. She was so excited for her well-child check up today. Made everyone at the office smile  She's got a stubborn streak a mile wide and can turn a tantrum on and off like a light switch, but her sweetness the majority of the time completely makes up for it. Her smile cheers me up on the darkest of days. Being her Mommy has made me a better person. I love and am so thankful for my sweet Miss Mary! #30daysofthanks

Nov 6 - Thankful for cuddle time with any of my kiddos. #30daysofthanks

Nov 7 - Thankful for family date nights. Tonight's agenda: Pizza, foot rubs, and Star Wars. #30daysofthanks

Nov 8 - Mass text convos with my siblings. Makes me feel like we're all in the same room even though we're in several different states. #30daysofthanks #ilovemyfamily

Nov 9th - Our piano. Nov 10th - That my husband can play piano. Nov 11th - Our Tom Roed Christmas book that he loves so much. #30daysofthanks

Nov 12th - Family scripture time #30daysofthanks

11/13/2014 - Once upon a time, my laptop stopped working. After watching a couple YouTube videos, I decided I'd try to fix it. Completely dismantled the whole thing, found the problem, fixed it, and put it back together. I'm not gonna lie. I'm feeling pretty good about myself. #goodatstuff

Nov 13th - Family visiting! Spent the day in San Francisco (bus got in the way of Pier 39 in the background) with my sister and her husband. Day was filled with good food and Lydia almost karate chopping a couple street performers that startled her. Good times  #30daysofthanks @cmamma143

Nov 14th - My sweet hubby! A migraine hit me fast and hard on the way home from San Francisco yesterday. Once we finally got home I threw up and crashed on the couch, leaving Robert to put all the kids to bed. I woke up at 1am to Robert asleep next to me on the lovesac because he didn't want to leave me alone. Such a great man I married! #30daysofthanks #ilovemyhubby

11/14/2014 - Ordered the yellow necklace for me and my girls thinking it would be the same size as the gray necklace. I guess we're going to be making a bigger statement with our jewelry than I thought. #oops

Nov 15th - Family adventures! First tent camping trip in 3 years, the maiden voyage of our big tent, and we rocked it! Can't wait to go again  #30daysofthanks

Nov 16th - Family dinner time AKA family bonding time with a little (or a lot) of chaos mixed in. #30daysofthanks

Nov 17th - My sweet Baby James! Today is James' birthday! No longer a newborn. He's now a 1-year-old, full-fledged toddler. Fastest year of my life! He's transitioned from being a content, happy baby to now he's all boy and wanting to always be on the go and make a mess of everything he touches. This boy holds my heart and melts it at least once a day. When I got pregnant so soon after my brain surgery we thought Heavenly Father had a little too much trust in what my body could handle. Now we know the timing was perfect and can't imagine life without our Jimmy. #30daysofthanks #ilovemykids

Nov 18th - A working heater and the little space heater that got us through the 3 nights it didn't work #30daysofthanks

11/18/2014 - Forward facing! (At least until Robert graduates and we move somewhere where law is rear facing until 2 years) And saving money on drinking whole milk versus formula. Being 1 is looking pretty good to James. #ilovemykids

Nov 19th - Thankful my girls love to create and learn. They both do 10-20 drawings/paintings a day each signed with their name by themselves. It's sad how fast they grow up, but each new stage has fun and exciting new developments to love as well. #30daysofthanks #ilovemykids

Nov 20th - Lessons learned from trials. 2 years ago today we found out I'd need a repeat brain surgery of one I'd had done 10 years previously. That was such a dark day for Robert and me. But we were showered with love and support through the whole ordeal. Our testimonies grew and our family and marriage were strengthened as a result of it. #30daysofthanks

Nov 21st - The fog and rain we've received this past week. I pray it continues!
Nov 22nd - The temple, the covenants I've made there, and the opportunity I had to spend the morning there with our Primary children. #30daysofthanks

Nov 23rd - Thankful for laughter. Pressed for time between meetings we were making frozen pizza for dinner, but when we got it out of the oven we realized half of the plastic had been left on the pizza on accident. Then when Robert and I were trying to peel it out we dropped it on the floor. Thankful Robert and I are both people that could not do anything but laugh as it was happening  #30daysofthanks

Nov 24th - Mickey Mouse! On mornings where James wakes up early, Mickey keeps James entertained for an hour while I get as much as I can done before the girls wake up. He doesn't really notice if anything else is on TV, but if it's Mickey Mouse Clubhouse he will sit still and watch for the whole show. He loves his Mickey Mouse  #30daysofthanks

Nov 25th - This littlest brother of mine. Serve with love! Return with honor! #calledtoserve

Nov 26th - Being with my fun, huge family. #30daysofthanks

11/28/2014 - Gas is a lot cheaper in Arizona than California ;)

Nov 27th - This free-spirited firstborn child of mine. She made me a Mommy and continues to make me a better person. A child with a weirder sense of humor and bigger heart you will never find. #30daysofthanks #ilovemykids

12/6/2014 - Nov 28th - We got to go to AZ for Thanksgiving and this girl's wedding.
Nov 29th - Nielsen's Frozen Custard. Yum!
Nov 30th - Temple trips with my perfect-for-me hubby. #30daysofthanks #done #betterlatethannever

Thanksgiving and Wedding Fun

We decided a year ago, knowing that we'd be going to AZ in October for Aly's homecoming, that we would not be going to Mesa for Thanksgiving because it would be too crazy to do an AZ trip 3 months in a row. We reminded our family of this several times throughout the year. But then my sister Breanna, AKA Bean, ended up having her wedding Thanksgiving weekend, so off to Mesa we went.

Wednesday - Turkey Pit Night

Do you spy with your little eye a Cami??

You can find her in this video that Robert took when they thought he was still taking a picture :)

24 turkeys in the pit this year!

Love Scott's and Preston's face in this picture. They had just gotten a gust of smoke in their eyes.

Thanksgiving Day

Getting the turkeys out the next morning. All were cooked to perfection!

On even years the Richardson family takes priority for Thanksgiving, so we joined them at their Thanksgiving tradition of eating at Golden Corral after seeing a movie.

Fed James a few tastes of lemon. That was fun :)

That night Robert and I played "In a Pickle" with his sisters. There's a slight chance I may have been extra tired and slap happy, but I was laughing to the point of crying nearly the whole game. Almost all of us were. The funniest sequence was this one...

DNA is in a worm which is in the President who is in a coffin which is in a pool in the garbage in a hurricane in a bottle in a small intestine in an email. Hahaha!!
Friday
Breanna went through the temple to take out her endowments. Nearly my entire family and most spouses were able to attend the session together. It, of course, was AMAZING.

After we all went to Nielsen's

How many people can you fit in a Nielsen's booth???

Not enough because some had to sit at another table. I spy with my little eye 6 photobombers, haha!

Big Richardson Thanksgiving

Captured this moment with Robert's dad and James...

Which reminded me of this moment from last Thanksgiving :)

Crystal and Aly entertained many of the cousins for a LONG time playing several trampoline games.

We had a little birthday celebration for James.

James kept doing this knee walk the whole time we were there. He's doing it less and less the better he's getting at walking, but everyone would get a big kick out of it while he was doing it.

Saturday - WEDDING DAY!!!!!!

The ceremony was BEAUTIFUL!

Luncheon

If there's one thing my family can do, it's make food for A LOT of people :) Each 6 qt crock-pot is a different kind of soup, and they were all delicious!

The beautiful bride!

Reception

Our cute little family. I LOVE the way all of our outfits came together.

My boys :)

My baby :)

The Happy Couple!

Blurry but I love that Breanna and Aubrie are both dancing with my girls.

Wiped out!

SOOOOOO happy for Breanna and Jordan!! And I'm so glad we were able to be there for the fun!

Sunday night we visited my Grandma Hall. James kept trying to play in the soot of her fireplace and it made me think of this picture of me in the exact same spot 25 years ago.

My Dad loves his Jimmy Boy :)

And at the crack of dawn Monday morning we were on our way home while this breathtaking sunrise chased us the whole way to the state line.

Again, such a whirlwind of a trip, but as busy and chaotic as it usually is, it ALWAYS ends up being worth it.
