Thanksgiving 2008

We spent this Thanksgiving in Edmond, OK with Erin and her family and my Mom and Roger. It was a wonderful weekend and, of course, we all ate too much!

We checked out Lake Hefner on a beautiful, sunny day.

We visited the Oklahoma City National Monument.

Bricktown was bustling with activity the evening before we watched an Oklahoma City Thunder game.

We got to help the Taylors pick out a real Christmas tree.

Our good friends Troy & Doug have been going through a very difficult adoption process. They met their new sons when they were newborns and have watched them grow up in foster care for almost two years. Yesterday, they finally brought their boys home. Meet Dobbin, 25 months, and Jacob, 22 months. That's right, 3 months apart! They will have their hands full with two 2-year olds, but we are so happy for them. May your home always be filled with laughter and love!

Happy Day

Some of you know that we were a little worried about our dog, Maisy, needing surgery. We got some X-rays taken and a second opinion and it turns out she is fine. She may have slight damage to her knee, but it's something that she can live with. She may have a little arthritis in her knee and hips, but she'll continue to be healthy enough to drive us crazy for a long time!!
