Visiting Denny J

A few weeks ago we got to go to Austin to watch Denny compete in a wrestling tournament. We've never really watched wrestling before, so it was very educational... It is always so much to see Denny and it was great to get to cheer him on.
UT wasn't very organized (hee hee), so we had quite a bit of time to visit.
Denny got to talk to Mom and Dad a few times while he waited for his matches.
And then he started competing. We really weren't sure what was going on, but Danica was so nervous that Denny would get hurt!
Catching a little nap between matches.
Denny had four matches in this tournament.
He almost has this one pinned!
Somehow, he made it through and went to nationals in D.C. two weeks later! We're so proud of you for trying so hard.
The night before we walked around the 6th street area and stopped for a delicious cupcake. (Not sure that was in his wrestling diet plan...)

Last week we got to see Denny again! He had a long enough layover in Dallas on his way back from Spring Break that we were able to take him out to dinner and hang out a little more. We'll see you again in 6 weeks! Love you Denny!

Do People Hibernate in the Winter Too?!

Ok, so we decided to take a break from the blogging world this winter... But we are bound and determined to pick it up again! First, let us quickly catch you up on what has happened during the last few cold, winter months:

In November, we both turned another year older. We are at the point where we are not sure if that is something to celebrate...

Thanksgiving found us in Edmond, OK with the Taylors. The Storms were there and Denny flew in from Colorado to spend the holiday with us too!

Christmas found us in New Mexico with the Storms and Taylors enjoying an amazing snowy, white holiday!

There was so much snow to play in!

Always so much fun with the little ones around.

January we were back in Dallas. Paula came to celebrate her 60th birthday! We all took a trip
to the zoo on a sunny day.

And then a truly unique thing happened in February... snow in Dallas! Real snow, not ice, but snow!

It was the largest single snow event in history for this area. We got 12" in about 24 hours! It was really beautiful!

Dobbin and Jacob showed me how to enjoy real snow cones and make giant snowmen.

So, that was our winter! We have more big news so stay tuned!!!
