It has been soooo long since I made a post on my blog. Since I am so close to having baby #3, I thought it was due time to post. I have to admit...I don't post alot b/c it is such a pain to post pictures up here and arrange the text the way that I want it. A quick update... Luke has started kindergarten and is adjusting well. He loves his teacher Ms.Kinal. He had an awesome soccer season this fall. He really has learned how to move the ball, look for holes and get the goals! Carman played her first season of soccer this year and liked it but didn't love it. She likes gymnastics alot more. She continues to entertain us with her charming personality. I am currently in my 38th week of pregnancy! I am SOOOO ready to have my little girl. I dreamed the other night that I gave birth to an adult man with gray hair and I was nursing him. Talk about crazy pregnancy dreams!! I have started to dilate, have contractions, back pain, etc. So we shall see. We still have not decided on the name. Once again... we shall see. Please send baby birthing waves my way...I would appreciate it.

Emerald Isle 2009
Our week in Emerald Isle this year was very relaxing and enjoyable. Since I am pregnant, I wasn't able to do as much as I would like but it was still alot of fun to watch the kids. We spent most days on the beach or at the pool. We also went to the waterslide, bumper boats, and out on the boat. I didn't want to leave......I LOVE THE BEACH!!!
Happy Father's Day
I truly do feel lucky to have such a good husband and father to my children. I felt that I would never find a man that was as good of a daddy as my own but Christian continues to prove to me that is just as good as my daddy was to me. He loves our children, spends time with them, plans ahead for their needs and makes them feel special. I love him very much for that.
My 33rd Birthday!
All the cousins lined up eating some grub. Don't know what Luke was thinking.
Christian taking care of the whole shabang! I love him!
Since my Birthday falls around Memorial Day every year, I like to spend my birthday at the beach. We spent the weekend with Alan and Sharon and they were nice enough to let us have my party at their house. It was very nice. All of Christian's family was there (minus Daniel and Lisa) and all of my family was there. All of these crazy people together = a good time!

Summer is Here!!
Alot has happened recently and I am a slack blogger. Below are some pictures of recent happenin's:

Luke holding his hippo durring graduation. We were singing the hippo song for a week!!
Luke getting his diploma from Aunt Joy!
The two cutest graduates ever!!
We recently had a Luau at the house for the youth at church and this is the only picture that I got from it. I need to get some from the YW. Abby loved all the attention and leftovers!
This is all I could get of our "biggest kid" every time he went down the monster water slide.....his feet. This man walked up to me and said "Is that daredevil your husband?" I said "proudly"!
Luke's first trip down the blue and yellow slide (the non-baby ones). He LOVED it! Like father like son!
This is the first pick from our garden this season. The zucchini was prematurely picked by an anxious little girl that wanted to do what her momma was doing. The cucumber was delish in vinegar!! I cannot wait for more!

Lunch with the Easter Bunny
We started off the Easter festivities by taking the kids to have lunch with the Easter Bunny at "Young Chefs Academy" here in Greenville. It was alot of fun. The were able to make bunny sandwiches, cut carrots, decorate bunny cookies and drink rabbit milk (strawberry flavored milk). The Easter Bunny was so cute and very nice to the kids. Despite the fact that Carman did not like him. He tried to hug her and she screamed. Here are some pics from that....
I love this picture. Luke just ran up to the Easter Bunny and hugged him.
Group shot before the Easter Bunny scares the mess outta Carman.

Every mother should read this....
Christian forwarded this email to me the other day and I loved it. Enjoy....
"If you are a mother, you participate with God in His work of creation—not only by providing physical bodies for your children but also by teaching and nurturing them. If you are not a mother now, the creative talents you develop will prepare you for that day, in this life or the next."You may think you don't have talents, but that is a false assumption, for we all have talents and gifts, every one of us (see D&C 46:11–12). The bounds of creativity extend far beyond the limits of a canvas or a sheet of paper and do not require a brush, a pen, or the keys of a piano. Creation means bringing into existence something that did not exist before—colorful gardens, harmonious homes, family memories, flowing laughter."What you create doesn't have to be perfect. . . . Don't let the voices of critics paralyze you—whether that voice comes from the outside or the inside."If you still feel incapable of creating, start small. Try to see how many smiles you can create, write a letter of appreciation, learn a new skill, identify a space and beautify it."

Happy Birthday!!!
This past week has been filled with birthday festivities for both Luke and Carman. Luke turned 5 on March 26th and Carman turned 3 today, April 1st. This past weekend we had the first ever combined party for Luke and Carman at the Jumpin' Monkey. Although the A/C was not working that day everyone seemed to have a good time. What can I say.... I throw "hot" parties!
Luke and a few buddies....notice the sweat...no A/C.

Silly Girl
I have to post this conversation between Carman and myself before I forget it. We were riding in the car together and she was talking and talking and talking. I had a very bad headache and this is how our conversation went:
Me: "Carman, can you please stop talking so loud?? Mommy's head hurts."
Carman: "Does your head hurt really bad Mommy?"
Me: "Yes"
Carman: "Well.... why don't you just take a headache...ok?"
Despite my headache... she managed to put a smile on my face. I just love her to pieces!!

The new addition to our family....
Well..I have always been a "dog person". I love most dogs and grew up with golden retrievers most of my life. Of course my kids have always wanted a dog ......so I gave in. A friend of mine offered to give us her 8 year old golden that was house trained, good with kids and in good shape. So we now have another girl in our family..... Abby!
She is truly the most well behaved and sweetest dog that I have ever been around. I just hope that she can survive Carman following her around and bugging the mess out of her. The kids fight over feeding her and brushing her. It is nice. She started off inside but due to my allergies has moved out to the backyard.
I also had to include this picture of Carman reading her favorite book: "Pinkalicious". She has it memorized.

It's been awhile....
Since I have blogged...so I have to confess why.... I am in love with another site.... Facebook. Although I have this new love, I do still love my little blog and I desperately need to update. So much has happened. So these pictures will capture what we have been up to these days.
The family went ice skating at Bladez on Ice in Greenville.
Luke absolutely loved ice skating and keeps wanting to go back.
Carman and Phoebe on New Year's Eve.
Carman fixing her daddy's hair while watching the New Years Day Parade.
Me and my babies during the BIG snow of 2009!
Carman and the neighbor dog Gunther being pulled on the snow board and Luke tearing it up on the John Deere.(below)
The family snow picture!
Bowling at ECU with the family and Taylor!
Luke jumped up like this every time he rolled his ball. It was funny!

Christmas Part 2
On Christmas Eve we went over to my mom's house for supper and gift exchange. On our way over to mom's Luke said "we cannot stay at memaw's house long, b/c I don't want Santa to miss us." I thought this was so funny b/c anytime we go to memaw's and his cousins are there.... he never wants to leave. Once we got home from mom's, Christian and I anxiously waited for the kids to fall asleep. Once they did, our work began.
The Before Shot (it took over 2 hours to assemble the kitchen.... it was a late night)
Unlike most children that toss gifts with clothes in them to the side, my darlin' daughter loves them and wants to put each new outfit on as soon as she opens it! (I see nothing wrong w/ that)

The Before Shot (it took over 2 hours to assemble the kitchen.... it was a late night)The kids were very sweet to us and didn't wake up until 7:30. It was so priceless to hear and see them on Christmas morning.
"Luke... I am your faather!"

The After Shot (the damage has been done)

The new addition to our backyard.... Luke's trampoline!
After Christmas was over, I asked the kids what their favorite thing about Christmas was:
Luke- "Hearing Santa on the roof."
Carman- "The reindeer ate the carrots!"
I love it! Now that I have children, I cannot imagine what I will do when they grow up and don't believe anymore. I love the magic!
