a little of call dude

Trying to get caught up for the summer but there's too many things to say and show so here's a few...

Calder's first rodeo!!! This was in May at the Eagle Mountain Rodeo.  We were packed in the truck and trailer and had Call's cute cousins in the back with him. Boden, Zander, then Call.

Clint blessed Calder June 2nd.  He looked so cute and couldn't have been more asleep through the entire night!! We got to have all our families there with us!

My family

 Clint's family

Swimming with Shelley and Ryn.
 I kept knocking Calder's sunglasses
off, but he liked having them on.  He loves
being in water, swimming pools, the lake,
his baths, you name it.

Chillin in his stroller... an every morning event if I'm feeding the horses. He just watches

Fishing with the Hannums in Oregon.
We all caught at least one!!

Got his beanie on for the night rodeo.

Swimming in the horses water bucket.
Poor kid was sweating so bad.

And of course napping with dad :)

40,50,60...80!

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!  Clint is the cutest dad.  He helps me so much with Calder and is always talking and playing with Call. Just makes me love and appreciate him so much. Calder loves him right back too. Sometimes Clint would wake up in the middle of the night when I was burping Calder and say hi to him and Call would just give him a big smile. It's so cute!  And happy Fathers Day to our dads too. They are both such amazing men and we love them!

Now to Calder boy... At his 2 week app. he was in the 40% in weight, at 6 weeks he was in the 50%, 8 weeks he moved to 60%, and I took him in today at 11 1/2 weeks and he jumped to 80%! I love it.  He's such a healthy boy! The only thing is, he doesn't have rolls everywhere like you would think, he's just solid!!
We couldn't love him more!  He has got the cutest personality! He's gotten to where he loves to eat his hands all day, smiles and smiles and smiles! Loves his bumbo swing and laying on his playmat. Mostly loves to lay on the floor where he can kick and play.  He talks to me all day long.  Even when he's tired and has his binki in, he'll goo goo goo like he's talking to me and then smile. It's so cute. Loves TV.. yes we're starting him early!!  Loves his mom.  Which I absolutley love because I know that won't last forever!! Will spot me across the room or hear me talk and just stares and smiles at me. I know it's a long list. Sorry. But the biggest of all as of today is he now can giggle!!! I mean a full on giggle.  Had me busted up laughing because it was so funny!  I wasn't paying attention to him and then I looked down and he was looking at me so I said boo and he thought it was hilarious.  I had him giggling for like 5 straight minutes.  Been trying all day and night to get him to do it again but he just smiles.  Hope he does it soon!
The picture above is him in his swing. He stares at those elephants the whole time he's in there, everytime he's in there.

Oh ya, he loves to look at himself in the mirror.  There is a mirror on the back of that toy and he always smiles at himself.

Outside on the grass smiling at his aunt Bree.  Who he has come to LOVE!

 Got his kicks on!

Chillin in the bumbo.  And once again he's eating his hand. haha I really am always taking it out.
Look at his beautiful baby blues!!
Love this kid :)

Can't get enough!!

Calder is 6 weeks old!!! I can't believe how much he's changed! He's already smiling and is so responsive and coo's all the time when we talk to him! He seriously is the cutest!  He loves to stare at faces and loves to nuzzle up by my neck to sleep.  I love how cuddly he is.  He loves when I touch his face, and to sleep by me and Clint, he will always turn so his face is as close to us as it can get.  He is so sweet and such a good baby!
We stayed at my parents this last weekend and had so much fun!

Getting ready to put Call to bed.

 He loves his Gigi!

And his Grandpa!  I love this picture!

We went shopping at the gateway.  I love these girls.  Shelley with Ryn, Michelle with Henry, and Me and Calder.  Bree and my mom were there too.

Babies Day

So I'm sitting here holding Calder watching him just stare at me, and as much as I love celebrating mothers day for our mothers I wish there was a day to celebrate how much I love my boy! I just can't get enough of him. I stare at him all day and can't stop smooching his adorable cheeks! He is so sweet and I'm so thankful to have him as my son. But since there's no babies day, Happy Mothers Day! Hope all you moms had an awesome day! And I hope mine and Clint's moms know how much we love them and appreciate everything they do for us!

Calder Clint born April 11, 2011 7lbs 10 oz

Here's how our boy got here!!
I woke up Sunday morning April 10th at 7:00 having some contractions, so I started timing them and they were about 5 to 6 minutes apart. My doctor told me to go in when they were 5 minutes apart but I could tell they weren't that strong so I waited until they got stronger and 4-5 minutes apart to go to the hospital at around 11:00.  We got to the hospital and was dilated to a 2 1/2.  So they said they would check me in an hour.  Well I didn't dilate any so they waited until the doctor got out from delivering another baby to see what to do, which was about 4 hours after we got there.  I still hadn't dilated.  So they decided to give me a shot of morphine and send me home.  They said if it was pre-labor that it would knock it out, but if it was real labor I would wake up with full blown contractions.  Well i fell asleep on the way home but kept waking up with contractions every once in a while.  I woke up three hours after we got home and was still having them but they weren't killing me.  I told Clint I thought we should go back in because if I was still having them then maybe I was dilating. So we hung around for a little bit so I could time them and they were about 2-3 minutes apart. So Clint got in the shower to get ready to go.  Aparently the morphine wasn't worn off all the way because about 10 minutes later I was yelling at Clint to get out of the shower because they were killing me and I couldn't even walk to gather the rest of my things.  I about died on the way to the hospital my contractions were so strong! But when we got there I got the good news that I had dilated to an 8.  I immediately asked for an epidural. About an hour later I was all set and comfortable. This was at 9:00.  I fell asleep but they kept coming in because everytime I had a contraction Calder's heart beat was dropping.  They kept having me turn over every 10 minutes or so hoping it would help.  But they were worried it would drop too much when I started pushing.  I was dilated to a 10 at about 2:15 and they told me if he didn't come fast that they might have to do a c-section because his heart rate.  Luckily he got here at 2:21am!!  He weighed 7lbs 10 oz and was 21 iches long! He is such a doll and I can't get enough of him.  He has been so good.  He's only been waking up once a night and is so mellow.  He hardly cries and will just sit there and stare at us.  Can't believe how much we already love him!
I'll post more later but here are a few pictures.

I love this guy!

I really don't want to do a mushy post so I'll try to keep it simple. But I really do think my husband is the sweetest.
So a couple of weeks ago Saturday Clint was in Houston and it had been 4 weeks since I had seen him, and I wasn't supposed to see him for two more weeks. I talked to him Sunday morning and he told me he was back at our friends house, in Oklahoma hanging out. I was staying at my parents that weekend but he needed me to come home from my parents by that afternoon to help our friend pick up some calves, so I rushed home to get there in time. I helped our friend and went back in the house and about a half hour later I was getting a drink in the kitchen and someone walked in the door. So I went around the corner to see who it was and there was Clint!!! Surprise!
I couldn't figure out what was going on, and I really couldn't stop crying to get my questions out, but apparently that was his plan the entire time we knew I was going to have to go home. He drove 24 straight hours from Houston so he could surprise me. I was so excited but partly mad because I had been stressing out so bad. For me there was no end in sight til I saw him again. No wonder the whole time he kept telling me it was going to be fine. He knew it wouldn't  be that much longer until he saw me.  I always say he is so NOT romantic, and most the time he really isn't, but he does come up with these awesome surprises like that. So I guess I have to give him some credit!
I Seriously love that guy! Don't know what I would do without him!
