Cox Family Adventures

We spent the weekend up in the Northern part of the State watching Maddie play softball. When you love softball the way we do, it makes for a great weekend! I love taking action shots! Here are just a few of my favorite. She pitched like a Champ! Her team tied for 5th place out of 10 teams. That is a large improvement after last year when they didn't win a game. :) Way to go Sanpete Elite Heat!

Maddie's cheering squad consisted of Grandma Barb, her brother Dave, his wife, two kids and son-in-law!

This is their victory dance around the pitching mound. Their coach taught it to them. It is pretty cute!

Andy was sure proud of this little girl. She came in to pitch in the last inning of a game. The bases were loaded and the winning run was on second base. There was only one out. Maddie came in and struck out the next two batters to win the game! Her team mates picked her up and chanted, "Maddie, Maddie, Maddie!" It was priceless. Of course I didn't have the camera because I was cheering like crazy and got lost in the moment. One of those little successes that makes us parents proud!
Yes those are prescription sport-safe glasses that she wears. Aren't they the cutest ever! I love that girl!

Do you think we are a little wrapped up in teams this year? We love it!

WE HAVE SOFTBALL/BASEBALL FEVER! Oh, and Andy and I are headed to Boston this week to watch the Red Sox at Fenway Park! It doesn't get better than that!

We took some time to visit Grandpa Kevin's grave site tonight. There was a light rain. It was peaceful, calm, and beautiful with the temple in the background. It was nice to sit there for a minute and talk about our memories of Kevin. The kids love to hear stories, especially about our water fights with him ! We hope you all have an enjoyable Memorial Day remember those loved ones who have passed on.

Had a fun day with Madison and my mom on Saturday. We went to a dance competition in Provo to watch Madison perform. After, we went out to dinner and walked around the Mall buying earrings, head bands, nail polish, shirts, and other fun "girly" stuff. It was truly a "Girls Day Out!" Andy stayed home with the boys (yay!) When us girls got home everyone was asleep. AJ and Lane were upstairs in the playroom...AJ on the couch and Lane on the floor. This is what we saw when we walked up there to put Maddie to sleep........
