I know....you think "Girl's Camp" --- not so fun.
Not this Girl's Camp! Let me explain.
St. George, no rain, condos, swimming pools, hot tubs, nice beds, kitchens, spa day, crafts, movies, hiking, and lots of great girls!
My Maddie even got to come since her 12th birthday is this summer. We had a super duper fun time!
We painted blocks and other toys as a service project for the Humanitarian Center....
SWIMMING!
Our theme was, "Arise and Shine Forth" -- so we did lots of "shiny" things!
SPARKLERS!
We played with GLOW IN THE DARK BALLOONS....
Oh, and some head stand competitions?
The girls even got out of bed at 5:30am to climb Dixie Rock to watch the Sunrise!
Waiting for the Sun...
The sun was so beautiful when it came up over the red rocks. It gave a soft warm glow. We had a simple devotional and spiritual moment that related perfectly to our theme.
Then we hiked at Red Cliffs...
This was part of the hike that challenged our girls. They were a little nervous making their way across this wall of stone. But they all did it!
At the top! It was a hard hike. Plus is was getting hot! The girls pushed through and accomplished what we set out to do.
Bishop Lund and his sidekick Brother Valentine.
Back to the pool! So refreshing! This is Maddie taking a leap for her pink floaty.
Ellen (YW President) tried the leap too!
Maddie, Ellen, and Maddi W. enjoying life.....
We went for ice cream and then walked around the St. George Temple grounds.
What a great group of Young Women!
Their true personalities.....
The "leaders"
You can't go to camp and not learn your knots!
Spa Day!.... Hand massages, foot rubs, nail painting, facials, hair conditioners! Perfect!
Crafting.....
Group photo with our button initial craft....
We then packed it up and headed for home. Although I missed my boys, I really could have stayed a little longer.
