Baby Miles

Here's the run-down:

For two weeks Kelsey walked around dialated to a 3 or 4 (too much information? Just wait, it gets worse). She wasn't due until August 26th, but every time she had an appointment the Dr was shocked at how diatlated she was. Finally, last Wed she was at a 6 and finally the Dr decided to induce her.

We went to the hospital at 4 and by 9 Kelsey was in heavy labor. She pushed for more than an hour with little result. The baby was turned face up, and wasn't making any progress, so finally the Dr decided we had to do a c-section. It only took 15 minutes to prep the OR and 10 minutes before the baby was out. The baby was born at 11:30pm, weighed 7lbs 3oz and was 20 inches long. He's very healthy, and Kelsey is recovering nicely. We named him Miles Donald, after Kelsey's Grandpa.

The next day the kids came up and saw him. They were pretty taken with him, and cried when I tried to put him back in the bassonet. Thursday everyone starting coming into town for Brittany's wedding, so we had a lot of visitors. Kelsey mentioned it to her Dr, and he said she could have a day pass to attend the wedding.

So, on Saturday morning I picked Kelsey up from the hospital and we went to the temple for the sealing and the pictures. They we went right back. Kelsey was really happy to be there for Brittany. Donna said they were worried about having 2 babies and a wedding in the month of August, since Kelsey's sister Sunny was due earlier this month. But they ended up having two babies and a wedding in 7 days, since Sunny came late and Kelsey came early. Sunny had to have a c-section, too, so these sisters can swap stories. Amazingly, Sunny came to the wedding, too. What a week!

We got Kelsey and Miles home on Sunday and everyone is doing fine. Here are the pictures to prove it:
