Lake Trips!

Lake mead in one of our favorite places to be! We would live on the lake if we could!

I love this little face!

We bought this huge tube for the kids! They were so brave! Lane and Landon have work hard to learn how to swim this year. They are pretty darn good if I do say so myself.

Lane asked" Can I get bucked off the tube this year!" in the end it turned out to be BIG TALK! He was not ready to be thrown off the tube just yet! However, our Little Ethan (the only non-swimmer of the group) was bucked off and thrown into the lake. I was freaking out to say the least! Lane saved the day, he jumped off the tube to grab Ethan. Who was floating and freaking out a bit! What a great big brother Lane is turning into! I couldn't have asked for better!

Apparently driving the boat is hard work!

I love this face! Rodney yelled to Landon, " Look there is a man eating Duck!" Landon lost it! We didn't think he would take dad seriously but that boy hop out of the water in record speed. Screaming might I add!

When I have grown a foot or two.......

Our boys love to walk to church! Even in the heat.

I hope they call me on a mission! When I have grown a foot or two. I hope by then I will be ready, to teach and preach as missionaries do.

This has been a fun experience for us. I look at self reliance completely different now. Some have asked about taste and price. The taste is way better than in the store. It is way more tendered. Price: we estimate about $2.83 per lb. Please note a rough estimate. I calculated this on a 7 lb bird dressed out. We did not have a scale to weigh each one but I am confident all of my birds were bigger than 7 lbs.
