Rodriguez Christmas

The day after Christmas, we went to Concan to celebrate Great-Grandpa's 85th birthday. Then we went to Temple to celebrate Christmas with the Rodriguez side of the family. It was wet and cold, but the girls had a great time!

Oh, how they love their Grandma!

Date night in Austin!

Christmas with the cousins!

Grandma and Grandpa took the kiddos to pick out new boots.  Julia was set on black, to match her outfit, and Olivia picked out the blinged pink ones!

At Johnny and Courtney's reception.

One of the groomsmen in the wedding had a military service dog, so I was in charge of him during the rehearsal and wedding. Rudy is such a sweetheart and so loyal to Shane!

Christmas in Pearland

For the first time since the girls were born, we spent Christmas Eve and Christmas at HOME! We cooked our first turkey and went to church on Christmas Eve. We also let the girls sleep in our bed, which is a special treat!

The girls woke up around 7:30 to see what Santa brough! for Olivia: a Barbie castle and password journal. For Julia: a DocMcStuffins doctor kit and a Barbie car.

Here they are together, sharing their new ride!

Julia was so precious this year, she LOVED every single gift she got! She would hug everything tight and say, "I love it!"

Daddy cooked us Texas shaped waffles with his new waffle maker from my parents. Yummy!

Christmas in Plano

We celebrated Christmas in Plano a few days early.
Here are the girls in their Great Grandmothers' old hats.

We had Autry Christmas at my cousin Mike's house. Eating, Christmas story from the Bible, caroling, and opening presents!

And finally, we had Jackson Christmas at my parents. Lucy popped in our family pic!

A Little House Christmas

We took the girls to see a play based on A Little House Christmas. Olivia wanted to dress like Laura, so I pulled out the dress that my Gramma made Lori in 1976. I love how perfectly it fits Olivia and how her braids look just like Laura's! She was the cutest girl there, and the only one dressed like Laura!

All Lit Up!

For thanksgiving break, we spent the week in Dallas with my parents.  We started a new tradition (because you know we need more!) of going pecan picking in a natural grove near their house. The girls had so much fun and the weather was perfect for running around and exploring!

We celebrated Thanksgiving in Gunter with 50 family members. The girls had a great time running around with their second cousins and hanging out at Uncle Johnny's farm. This was the first year that the girls could run around mostly unsupervised, so Cesar and I actually got to talk and catch up with family that we don't see often!

The day after Thanksgiving, we met up with the Link family at the Dallas Zoo. The zoo has been redone/expanded recently and it is awesome! We were there almost 4 hours and only saw half of it! Olivia and Laura have known each other since they were babies and get along so well! We also got to see the lions doing tricks with their trainers---amazing!  Julia was the only brave one of the bunch, willing to try the "tornado tunnel" with winds going 32 mph!

He's making his list......

The girls went to meet Santa at Bass Pro Shop. They thought it might be one of his helpers, but they got lucky, it the REAL Santa! Olivia told him she wants a Password Journal and Julia said a Barbie car. This was Julia's first year to not be scared, she was so brave!

Rodriguez Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving with the Rodriguez side the weekend before Thanksgiving. Everyone came to Pearland and we had a great time! The food was delicious, the weather was gorgeous, and it was wonderful that all 12 of us were together under the same roof! We also had family pictures done, something that we have never done before! I think they turned out wonderful!
