Playing Dress-up

Olivia went to friend's house a few weeks ago and discovered playing "dress-up". Not just tiaras and necklaces, but full-out costumes. So of course, I had to run out and buy her some costumes! The princess costume is acutally a bride costume, but we'd rather wait until she's 30 to call her a bride. The Tinkerbell costume I bought on Ebay. Only $8!!

Vacation Bible School

What a week! I taught Olivia's class this week at VBS. I am worn out, but she loved it! It's super organized, the kids rotate to different places all morning: assembly, music, recreation, craft, storytime, and classroom time. We'll defintately do it again next year!

San Antonio

Olivia and Daddy made a quick trip to San Antonio for Roman's 3rd birthday. I stayed home and went to a friend's wedding. Here are pics of the cousins playing. Olivia just loves being with her cousins! She threw a few royal fits about getting dressed and going to bed, but Aunt Jenn saved the day by giving her new pajamas, just like Becca's! Aunt Jenn also rocked her to sleep after several failed attempts by Daddy and Grandma. Thanks, Jenn!!!

Pool Day

Every Thursday we meet our playgroup at a local pool. This week we met at the Silverlake Pool, which Olivia loves because she can be independent. I love it, too, because I can just sit and relax while she splashes and has fun! Daddy bought her a "giant lizard" and she had fun sharing it with Malia.

Zoo

Olivia and I had a date at the zoo last week. Our favorites are always the meercats, otters, jaguar, and reptile house. We had fun, but it was HOT! No more zoo visits for me until fall.

Visit to Temple

A few weekends ago, we went to Temple for Grandma's birthday. Olivia had fun playing dress-up and splashing at the Spray Park. We also went to visit Grandma at work, and Olivia had to dress for the occasion in her furry black gloves!

Life is a Picnic

Olivia loves playing "tea party" with her tea set. She uses to cereal to feed all of her animals using the bowls and teacups. She even makes little eating and drinking noises. It's adorable!

Yes, her eye is swollen in this picture. She had 2 mosquito bites on her eyelid that made it swell up. The itching bothered her some, but she was a trooper. At one point she had a Barbiebandaid over her eyebrow, but that was just for show!

If you look carefully in the picture, you can see her frog potty. I potty trained her a few weeks ago, and it went perfect! By day 3 she was a pro! She is really good about telling me when she needs to go, even in public places. I am so proud of her!!! I'm really glad I put it off until summer and waited until she was really ready, because it made it so much easier!

Patrick the Piano Man

I am so proud of my nephew, Patrick! He has been taking piano for 5 years, and he is awesome! In this picture, he is playing the song "Clocks" by Coldplay. He played this song at this school talent show. He sounded perfect! He also has a very silly side to him. He and 6 other boys did a silly spoof to Beyonce's "All the Single Ladies". They even dressed like girls for the song/dance! I saw the video, and it was hilarious.
(He just grew his hair out, I love it!!!)

Patrick's Birthday Party

We went to Plano and McKinney for Patrick's 11th birthday. Olivia had a blast swimming and jumping off the diving board. This girl has no fears! She also loves to pet the steer, "Beaux".

It's a Girl!

We had our 19 week ultrasound yesterday and found out we're having a girl! We have chosen the name Julia Faith. Olivia seems very excited to have a baby sister. She's been very into playing with dolls lately. She feeds them, rocks them, sings to them, and even burps them! I just know she'll be a gentle, kind, and loving big sister!

(This pic was taken at 15 weeks)

Mother's Day

I had the best Mother's Day! I slept in until 9. When I woke up, Cesar and Olivia had made me a cheesecake! Yummy! They also gave me HOMEMADE bath salts! Daddy worked hard finding all of the ingredients and Olivia helped stir it all together. They also made a cute card that said Happy Mother's Day! Each letter was made with something different, like salt, beans, spaghetti, tape, glitter, marker, etc. We went to Ikea and I finally got a t.v. armoire! Last, we ate lunch at Goode Company Seafood. Seafood is my favorite! Thanks for a wonderful Mother's Day!

May

Olivia finally learned how to ride her bike! She's had this bike since last summer and really wasn't interested in it, but one night she hopped on and clicked! Now she's a pro! She loves bringing it in the house and riding in the kitchen, too!

Olivia and Andy (a.k.a. Pinkies/Pinknose) have fallen in love. They love to cuddle and give each other kisses. When we were dog sitting for Ada, Andy slept with Olivia every night! He slept curled up right next to her! Mama sure was proud!

Easter in Concan

We spent Easter in Concan, Tx at Great Grandma and Great Grandpa's ranch. There were lots of cousins, aunts, and uncles. And eggs, pinatas, confetti eggs, and yummy food! We forgot our camera so these are just a few pics from Aunt Liza.
