Naptime

I think I've mentioned before that Lucy and Andy like to sleep with Olivia. We'll here is proof! All 4 of them were truly asleep! And this happens EVERY day! Even if Andy comes home late a at night, he will go sit by her door and wait for me to let him in. And when Lucy hears the words "time for bed", she runs right up the stairs to Olivia's room. I really do think having the pets with her helps Olivia sleep better. But if they're with Olivia, who's going to snuggle with me?!

Jump-a-roo

Julia is finally big enough for her her Jumparoo! She loves it! Right now she sort of just hangs and spins, but I'm sure she'll figure out how to jump very soon!

Disney On Ice

Olivia and I had a Girls Night Out with our friends Michelle and Carli. We went to Disney on Ice! It was so much fun! The first few songs were about Halloween, so the girls were scared, but after that, they LOVED it! Princeses, Mickey and Minnie, Toy Story, Alice in Wonderland, etc........ And we had really good seats so the girls could see great! What a great night with my big girl!

She earned it!

Olivia finally earned her PlayDoh Ice Cream Shoppe! We had a deal that if she could sleep through the night without waking up to get Mommy for SEVEN days, she could get the Ice Cream Shoppe! She earned it like a champ! We kept a chart on the fridge, and every morning she would be so excited to get her "star". Now she's sleeping throught the night every night! (She had been since before Julia was born, but all the traveling and fevers had her spoiled for Mommy). She loves to make the whole family their ice cream request, she even says, "Coming right up!"

Brazos Bend State Park

Last weekend, we spent the day at Brazos Bend State Park. I love spending they day together as a family of four! We spent time in the nature center and Olivia got to pet a baby alligator. These were the same babies from last time (in the fall) so it was neat to see how they've grown! We also went on a nature hike to see alligators. We saw about 10, 1 of which was WAY too close for comfort. He was sunning himself very close to our path, his nose was touching the gravel! We almost turned around, but that would have taken twice as long, so we stayed to the right as far as we could and rushed past. We were both scared to death and holding tight to our precious girls. But really, I think the alligator could have cared less about us. There were about 50 other people on the trail, and these gators are SO used to people walking by.

Easter--Part 4--The Fun

Tire swing with Cousin Samantha! Samantha lives in Eagle Pass and is from the "other side" of the family (Rodriguez side). We were SOOOOO glad to see her and Aunt Connie! How wonderful that both sides of the family can be together for Easter!

Practicing her swing!

The youngest goes first!
Pinata #2 (there were 4 all together!)

On your mark, get set, go!

Olivia got her Daddy!

Getting her Grandpa! She hasn't quite figured out how to crack them first, so she just wacks you with a solid egg!

Julia Faith and Great Grandma! Grandma held her so she would be "safe" from the confetti!

Pretty, pretty girl!

Our first Easter as a family of 4!

Olivia's curls filled with confetti:

Our attemp at a pic with the four grandkids. This was the best I had! What a rare pic with Olivia in a ponytail! She let her Aunt Sulema do it! But will she let Mommy, of course not!

Aunt Sulema also gave Julia her first ponytail! We call it a whale spout!

Easter---Part 3--The Dresses

The girls wore matching white dresses. They looked beautiful, of course! Our pictures aren't great, it's so hard getting them to both smile at the same time!

What a blessing:
After Easter Mass in Uvalde:

Easter---Part 2---Julia

This was Julia's first trip to The Ranch, and her first time to meet Great Grandma, Great Grandpa, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was so good! Here Julia with her Abuela and Abuelo:

Julia loved kicking the bag of Easter eggs!

Easter --Part 1---Making the cascarones

Easter 2010 was Perfect! We spent it in Concan, Tx at Grandma and Grandpa's Ranch in the hill country. The weather was perfect, and so were the girls! On Saturday, the kids (and parents) made the cascarones. Here are pics of the entire process (dying, drying, stuffing, glueing, etc). There were 22 dozen confettie eggs in all!

MCP Easter Egg Hunt

Olivia had fun at her annual MCP Easter egg hunt! She would grab an egg and shake it, just to make sure it had candy! Then she was off to find another one!

5 months

Julia is now 5 months old! She is such good girl! She can roll over and is really grabbing for things and playing with toys. Olivia was sick for 6 days, and my sweet Julia was such a trooper while a took care of Olivia. She stayed so calm and happy, even when I had to focus my attention on Olivia. Julia is now eating cereal twice a day and loves it! She's a mess afterwards, but she always finishes her bowl! We plan on going to Concan/The Ranch this weekend to meet the Great Grandparents and lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins. I hope she does well in the car and at the hotel!
