All Lit Up!

For thanksgiving break, we spent the week in Dallas with my parents.  We started a new tradition (because you know we need more!) of going pecan picking in a natural grove near their house. The girls had so much fun and the weather was perfect for running around and exploring!

We celebrated Thanksgiving in Gunter with 50 family members. The girls had a great time running around with their second cousins and hanging out at Uncle Johnny's farm. This was the first year that the girls could run around mostly unsupervised, so Cesar and I actually got to talk and catch up with family that we don't see often!

The day after Thanksgiving, we met up with the Link family at the Dallas Zoo. The zoo has been redone/expanded recently and it is awesome! We were there almost 4 hours and only saw half of it! Olivia and Laura have known each other since they were babies and get along so well! We also got to see the lions doing tricks with their trainers---amazing!  Julia was the only brave one of the bunch, willing to try the "tornado tunnel" with winds going 32 mph!

He's making his list......

The girls went to meet Santa at Bass Pro Shop. They thought it might be one of his helpers, but they got lucky, it the REAL Santa! Olivia told him she wants a Password Journal and Julia said a Barbie car. This was Julia's first year to not be scared, she was so brave!

Rodriguez Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving with the Rodriguez side the weekend before Thanksgiving. Everyone came to Pearland and we had a great time! The food was delicious, the weather was gorgeous, and it was wonderful that all 12 of us were together under the same roof! We also had family pictures done, something that we have never done before! I think they turned out wonderful!

Pre-Halloween Festivities

We stayed busy with lots of Pre-Halloween Festivities. First, we went to the pumpkin patch for a mom's group party. The girls rode the train and posed for pics.

Then, it was time to carve a pumpkin. Mommy bought it, Olivia designed it on paper (with eyelashes of course!), Daddy traced it and cut it out, and Julia was Daddy's assistant/cheerleader. Teamwork!

Last, the girls helped brighten some senior citizen's Halloween by trick-or-treating at a local assisted living home. Both girls were so sweet and kind to everyone, it was a blessing for all involved!

Happy 3rd, Julia!

Happy Birthday, Julia! I cannot believe my baby is 3! You are so sweet, smart, silly, and beautiful! You are brave and outgoing! You love school, dance, and gymnastics! You love your big sister and miss her when she's not around, yet you fight with her constantly. You are such a Momma's girl, you get very upset when I don't read your bedtime stories. You love to perform! Your latest performances are singing "It's The Hard-Knock Life" and dancing to "Girls Just Want To Have Fun". And you love to pretend play (Doc McStuffins, Belle, Baby Cougars, etc), You are still a picky eater, especially when it comes to fruit and meat. You love pretzels, chocolate, and orange juice! I absolutely love being your Mommy, Julia!

Fall Fest

Julia had a blast at her Fall Fest at school! She couldn't wait to play "games"! Here she is with her class and teachers.

She loves posing and smiling for the camera, if you haven't noticed already!

Here she is with her sweet friend, Emery.

Hello, Tooth Fairy!

Olivia lost her first tooth! It had only been wiggly for a week or so, and she was playing at the park after school and it fell out! No pain, no blood, just happiness! And of course, the Tooth Fairy came to visit. She left a special note, a golden dollar, and a trail of fairy dust. It won't be long until she has to visit again!

Julia the soccer star!

Julia wanted to wear her Daddy's old soccer jersey to bed, so I snapped a few pictures! I am so gald Nelva held onto this shirt! She says she wants to play soccer, so we hope to put her on a team in the spring!
