In Sync Cat Sanctuary
For Spring Break, we went to Plano to visit Nana and Paw Paw. Our first adventure was visiting In Sync Cat Sanctuary in Wylie. This amazing place takes in abused or abandoned lions, tigers, cougars bobcats, etc. I had no idea there are so many crazy people out there who think they can raise these animals in their house or on their land. They have over 30 large cats right now. It was so neat to see them up close, some only 5 feet away! The girls liked it for about 15 minutes, until a sleeping tiger lunged out of his crate and ROARED at us. They were ready to go home after that!
Spring Break
We started off our Spring Break with a trip to the Houston Zoo with our friends Kelly, Kyle, Luke, and Max. We got there right when it opened, so we beat the crowd. The cats are my favorite part, so I am always excited when they are awake and moving! We go to the zoo 3 or 4 times a year, so the girls have gotten really good remembering where certain animals are, what to do, what to see, etc. And, of course, you can't go to the zoo without riding the carousel!

Let's Rodeo!
Just like we do every year, we took the girls to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. We went on a weekday afternoon, and it wasn't crowded at all!
Both girls loved going in the Pirate Obstacle Course /Maze.Olivia was such a great big sister and helped Julia the entire way! We even heard her say, "Come on, Julia, you can do it! "
Spinning dragons with Daddy!
Magical Boats!
The petting zoo is always a hit with my girls, but this time, the goats were really aggressive. They were jumping on people for the food, so we just opted for petting them.
Julia loved every bit of the rodeo!
We saw a Mama cow named Olivia who had just had a baby. Olivia was very proud to have a cow named after her!

It's Strawberry Pickin' Time again!
We continued our annual tradition of going strawberry picking at Froberg's Farm. This year they came very early, and it was still cold out. No cute sundresses this time, jackets instead!
" Look mom, I found the biggest one!"
Silly girls, trying to make each other laugh!
Olivia was encouraging Julia to try one, Julia just said, "Gross!"

Spongies!
It's hard work being a diva! Olivia's been saying she wants to be a Diva when she grows up,but she doesn't want to work! Sounds pretty much like her life right now! :)
I saw these pink spongie rollers at the store and couldn't resist! I used to wear them as a girl to make my hair "curly" (as if it wasn't curly enough!) and knew Olivia would love them. And she did! She was so excited to wear them, sleep in them, and loved seeing her beautiful curls in the morning!
Puzzle Mania
Julia LOVES puzzles! She works at least 3 or 4 a day! She has gotten really good at the Mickey, Minnie, Princess, and Pooh 25 piece puzzles! She only needs a little help, I give her about 3 or 4 pieces at a time and she does the rest by herself! I love puzzles, too, so I really enjoy sitting with her working on these. Way to go, Julia!

Go Texan Day!
Olivia dressed up for Go Texan Day at her school. She was so excited to wear her cousin Mark's cowboy boots!
Kindergarten had a special Rodeo outside with 6 different events.
Ridem' Cowgirl!
It was a very windy and cold day, so Olivia did what all cowgirls do, she covered her face with her bandana!
Next up, bean bag toss! And she got it in!
Lasso!
Olivia had a great time at Rodeo Days, her boots, not so much. This is how they looked when I picked up her that afternoon! One was duck taped and the other had completely fallen apart! I was cracking up when I saw her limp to the car! I asked her if it made her sad, she said, "No, not really!"
And our Lil' Cowgirl just HAD to dress up, too! Her Rodeo Day isn't until next week, but she couldn't resist! She's so proud to wear her Daddy's boots!
