Hello? Is anybody there? Probably not. Seeing as I am nearly a year behind with this thing. Ugh. I refuse to give up. However, I do concede to just throwing pictures up and scraping the back of my memory for the slightest recollection of interesting events that occurred. So, here is what we did in Oregon...
We went to the lake where all I can remember is that it was really annoying how Wilson wouldn't stop barking at people. But I also remember thinking just how awesome it was to be in a place that I literally grew up at. We were babies in life jackets, strapping on water skis, zipping around on inner tubes or trying to hold onto BOB for dear life. We were raised on watermelon and shasta. Red vines and chips in the van for the way home. Sunburns and tan lines. We came home happy and exhausted. And I really don't know how my parents did it each year. We went all the time. We brought friends and packed cooler after cooler of food, washed countless towels and gassed up the boat only to turn around and do it all again next weekend. My parents RoCk! It really was the best way to grow up.
We took the kids to the Oregon Country Fair. Also know as hippy heaven. Grace fit right in with her fairy attire and I think I only had to cover Beckham's eyes once or twice. Not too bad.
We dropped Madison off for camp with my sister and headed home to Seattle, only to return again two weeks later to watch Madison's show and Ronnie's Eugene Marathon.
Really bad pictures but she rocked it as Shirley Temple. She even got to sing a solo this year as one of the older kids at camp!
Selling her homemade pinwheels after the show
We explored Hayward Field and Mac Court with the kids while picking up Ronnie's race packet. Hayward field is one of my favorite places. Such an exciting place with a ton of history.
We also got to watch the World Jr. Championships that were being held that weekend at Hayward.
And then it was Ronnie's turn to run across that famous finish line
He did it! And that makes 4
