Hears to us

Another year of success making a total of 9.  And this is the only semi recent picture of the two of us?  Maybe next year we can get the kids to take a better shot.  Or take it our selves.  Or maybe even be in the same state; now that would be nice.

Brett had to be in Anaheim, California, in his own suite, eating at restaurants, and other stuff I'm jealous of, for work.  I repainted our office and did a bit of reorganizing and then dropped the kids off at their cousins house so I could go to a three hour Chemistry lab with my creepy guy lab partners.  But don't think I'm bitter at all about this, oh no, I made sure that I had fresh Gerbera flowers on my table and I bought myself a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup that I did not share.  I'm living the life.

Brett and I planned a few months ago to have my mom come stay with the kids last weekend so we could have a kid free 24 hours to ourselves!  We played racket ball(I might possibly need a bit more practice), we went rock climbing(who got the highest score again honey?), we stayed at The Grove hotel, ate at an awesome restaurant, and I've been dreaming about street tacos ever since.  We cuddled up on the king size bed and rented a movie in our room, and stayed up till something like 2 am.

It was a blast!  The last time Brett and I went somewhere overnight with just the two of us was several years ago, so it was time.  I'm so glad we did because we had such a nice time!  Sometimes with kids I wonder what on earth we would do if it was just the two of us, so it's nice to have a reminder that we really can have fun without our four little tag alongs.

Love you babe, thanks for being my best friend.

Tomorrow, I am getting my hair done.  I'm nervous because I'm using a new lady, but excited.  I need to change something so I don't dread doing my hair every day any more.

For any future text book writers...

OKAY, I get it!!!  There are gay people in the world and I probably shouldn't drag them out into the streets and throw stones at them and laugh manically while I do it, I GET IT ALREADY!

Can you stop throwing it in my face on EVERY SINGLE PAGE of my psychology and sociology books?  Mkay?

And no, I will not go out and buy a copy of "Mommy, Mama and Me" for my kindergartner to read.  Go ahead, call me a bigot who is "brainwashing" her kids.  I'm happy to say that I'm perfectly willing to let gay people live how they wish, as long as they leave me alone to live how I wish.

Thank you.

Kisses

I may watch this video about a million times before I die!  I'm so glad we invested in a flip camcorder thingy; worth every penny!

Woops!

Maybe next year she'll get the idea a bit better.

By-the-way, watching little 5 year olds run around trying to figure out how to play basketball is hilarious, like a bunch of drunk chickens.

And to the psycho moms out there who yelled at the other team members and laughed when a little boy on the other team fell down, seriously, you have behavioral issues and I highly suggest counseling to overcome whatever childhood dreams you had that failed.
