Our new found tongue and cute pictures

We had a lazy weekend. I tried to do as little as possible. I am going on almost 6 months of not sleeping an entire night and it is beginning to catch up with me. Yes, you heard me right. Jameson is still not sleeping through the night. He wakes up at least one time a night STILL. I always heard moms say, "my child didn't sleep through the night until he was over a year old." I just always said to myself, "ah, that will never happen to me." Well, it is happening to me and I don't know what to do about it. I have tried everything. I know he will sleep one day. I just keep praying. What gets me is he will sleep all night one night and not sleep all night for several weeks. Then he will have another good night and not sleep for more weeks. I am not complaining because I know it could be so much worse. He is adorable and I love him so much. He has discovered his tongue and it is so cute. Everything he does now he sticks out that little tongue. I have taken several pictures of him lately and realized that his tongue is out in most of them. Also, another cute thing he does is if I ever change his diaper on the floor, he rolls over on his tummy before I can put a diaper on him. My child loves to be naked and would sit around naked all day if I would let him. I took a cute picture of him looking up at me with the cutest grin on his face and his little butt shining everywhere. I wish I could share it with you, but I have no idea who looks at my blog and I don't want some psycho looking at my child's butt. That may sound extreme to you, but working in the Social work field I have quickly learned that anything is possible. Just take my word that he is cute as a button. He also loves his exersaucer that Santa brought to him, but recently he has discovered the tags on the inside of the seat and plays with them more than the toys. He is so mesmerized by them. I know I need to cut them off (and I am going to), but I had to take a picture of it first. He is almost 6 months old now. We go for our checkup week after next and I will update you on how big he has gotten.
I hope everyone is doing well, and keep blogging. I love reading.

Tomorrow is my birthday! Whooppeeee.....I love birthdays! I will be 27 and still feel like I am 18. I usually announce it for like a solid month before just so people will know, but this year has been different. My priorities have changed and I don't think about myself as much anymore. I am still pumped and can't wait. Have a great night!

Playing with those tags!

No one warned me!!

Jameson is teething.......need I say more? No one warned me that teething could be so hard, at least it is for us. I should have been ready for it because just about every stage that Jameson has gone through has been to the highest extreme possible. I have always joked that things are never easy for me.....well that is proving true with a baby too. For almost two months now Jameson has been chewing and drooling, but for about 1 week now he has really started teething. He bites down on everything to the point of almost shaking. He bites my face, fingers, hair, arm, shoulder, his toys, and I think he would chew on Lilly if she would be still enough for him. He has also been waking up about every 1 1/2 to 2 hours at night. I went up and down our stairs the other night so many times that the next day my legs were sore....just kidding. Anyway, my SIL, Dana, told me that she used to rub benedryl on Bella's gums and that would help her a lot. So I called the nurse and she advised me to do the same. I rubbed Jameson's gums with a heavy heart. I felt like such a bad mom for giving him medicine. I hate giving him medicine. Well, I was sure that it would do the trick and let him rest comfortably. I put him down at 9:30 and at 10:30 he started crying.....and at 12:30. So I gave him some tylenol and he slept until around 5:30. That was Sunday night. He slept a little better last night. I feel so sorry for him because I know he is in pain and I can't help him. So....any of you moms have any other advice for me. I know I am just going to have to wait it out and pray that some teeth come in soon. I have teethers, cold wash cloths...etc. All that good teething stuff they tell you to try. I need good advice. Let me know what you did with your little ones.

Other than a little sleep deprivation (which I have been in since day one) we are doing well. The house is great, Rusty is great, and Jameson is growing daily. He is still learning all kind of new things and I love to watch him. He loves to play "this little piggy" on his toes. I will start and he immediately starts smiling and laughing. He is so cute and I am thankful that I have the cutest baby alive! Ha.

Tag....I'm It

This is my first time being tagged as a blogger, so here goes.
This is a picture tag and here are the rules:

1. Choose the 4th folder where you store your pictures on your computer
2. Select the 4th picture in the folder
3. Explain the picture
4. Tag 4 people to do the same
5. No Cheating (Cropping, editing, etc..)

I took this picture because it was the first time Jameson sat in his swing with it on for more than 2 seconds. He is actually watching cartoons....I know I am a bad mom! I was so proud of him for even sitting in it. He hated his swing until he was about 3 months old and still doesn't sit in it for long.

I tag:

Kaye T.

Beth C.

That is all I can do because I don't know anymore bloggers well enough. How sad! I need some more friends. Ha Ha...

The House

We are loving our new house. We still have tons of stuff to unpack, but I haven't had the energy or time to start that yet. We will eventually get to it. Everyone is still adjusting, but we are almost settled. I haven't taken many pictures....shame on me, but I have a couple to share. More will come soon...I promise.

A month full of first's

Jameson has had a wonderful month full of first's. It was his first Christmas, he had his first taste of babyfood and he rolled over from his back to his tummy for the first time. Our Christmas was great. I wish it would have been a little less busy, but it was good. I think I will enjoy it a little more next year because we won't be in the process of moving. The weekend after Christmas, I decided that I would feed Jameson some baby food. The pediatrician told me I could start at 4 months, but I refused to becasue it meant he was growing up. The poor baby kept looking at my food, following every bite I took and reaching for my plate. I figured he could probably stand a little food. So we started with sweet potatoes. He loved them. He also likes squash, green beans and pears. I haven't found one that he doesn't like. I am not real sure he just loved green beans, but he ate them anyway. He looks like such a big boy sitting there with his mouth open. It breaks my heart. I think I will collapse when he starts kindergarten. I tear up just feeding him baby food. How pathetic am I? He has also started rolling over from his back to his tummy. He has been rolling from his tummy to his back for a while now, but last night he really started showing out for us. He can also hold himself up on his hands when he is on his tummy now. I can't believe how big he is getting. I can hardly remember him being a newborn. He has also found his feet and loves to put his toes in his mouth now.....which is driving me crazy because I HATE feet and think they are disgusting. It helps with changing his diaper though because his legs are already up for me. I don't have to hold them anymore...he does it for me. This month has just been full of new milestones and it makes me so proud to be a mom and to share this time with my perfect baby.

He really does like it....despite the face.

Christmas Joy!

We had a great first Christmas with Jameson. We ate a lot, played a lot, talked a lot, and had lots of company. Jameson got lots of toys and clothes and actually liked tearing the paper on his gifts. We had so much fun that it is too much to blog about. Here are some pictures for you to look at.

Loving our new exersaucer. Look at those gums.

TSO, Christmas Play, and Bronchitis

Well, the TSO concert was amazing! I don't know what was better, the light show or the actual concert. I am glad we got to go see it. I do have to tell you a funny story. The concert started off with a big black man who had the voice of God. He told a story throughout the whole concert. For example, he would tell a little piece fo the story and they would play a song, then another piece and another song. I quickly found myself very confused. By about the 3rd song I had no idea what the man was talking about. I felt kind of dumb and didn't want to admit to Rusty that I had no idea, but I figured he didn't either. So I asked him. "Rusty, who is this girl they keep talking about"? His reply, "I have no idea". We both busted out laughing at each other. That may not seem funny to you, but throughout the whole concert and on the way home we kept saying, "and there was this girl". It was funny to us. I didn't take any pictures becasue there were camera nazi's walking around with their flashlights and would tell you to put it up! Just take my word for it.....it was great!

On Sunday we went to see church to see the children's Christmas Play. Bella was a chicken and she was the cutest chicken I had ever seen. She kept looking at her mom and smiling. Here is a picture of her.

You may have noticed the title of this blog includes the word Bronchitis. Jameson has had a snotty nose for about 2 months now. Everytime I take him to the doctor I tell him about it and he says to just keep giving him a decongestant that he has prescribed for him. Well, Sunday I noticed he was breathing kind of funny and almost sounded like he was wheezing. I tend to freak out a lot and worry too much so I asked my mom if she heard it. She said she didn't. That was during church and he did sound better. Once we got home, he stated doing it again. The next morning I knew something was wrong because he was wheezing very bad. I took him to the doctor and he had bronchitis. The doctor gave him two inhalers and some cough medicine. The funny part to this story is the mask I had to make Jameson for his inhalers. The doctor told me not to buy the $50 mask and make one out of a foam cup. I wish I had taken a picture of it, but I didn't. It looked so ghetto, but it worked. My little man was feeling better in no time. By Christmas he sounded much better. I blame it on daycare!!
