Funny Story

Hey I forgot to tell everyone a funny story earlier( i think it is funny anyway). It has to do with Rusty, blood, and a date with me! Rusty if you are reading this, I sorry sweetie, but I had to share it. Anyway, last week I was really tired and needed a break, so I asked Rusty if he would want to go out on a "date" Friday night. I asked my mom to keep Jameson and all was set up for us to have a night out by ourselves with no crying, feeding, whining. Just us! I was off of work on Friday and had been looking forward to going out later that night. I had everything planned out, where to eat, what to do, stores I wanted to shop in. I was really excited. So, I took Jameson to my moms and met Rusty when he got off of work. He told me that he was going to give blood before we left and would meet me at my moms house around 4. Things were good until around 4. My brother called me (he is the director of the wellness center where Rusty was giving blood) and tells me that Rusty has passed out, thrown up twice, and was not doing good. He said he could not walk, much less drive. So I head up to the wellness center and find Rusty as white as a ghost, wet with sweat, and sipping on some Sprite. I asked him if he was alright. He said he was and said he would be fine once he got home. Well you know me, I have to have all the details. So I ask my sick husband what happened. He said he passed out and when he woke up he didn't know what happened. My brother told me that he started jerking (which scared me). I immediately asked the nurse (who I don't think was a real nurse) if he had had a seizure. She said she didn't think so, but soon after that got Rusty out of the chair and told him not to forget his cookies! Which I thought was hilarious! Me, Rusty (ghost man), and my brother go out to the car. Meanwhile, in the back of my mind I am thinking, "man, I hope we can still go out". Rusty gets to my moms and sleeps for 3 hours! Around 7 I decided we had better call off the date! Ha Ha......sounds selfish, but I was so needing some time away. This may not be funny to you, but if you know Rusty, you know he is a big guy and usually cool and collected. So to see him so sick just from giving blood, it was kind of comical. We finally came to the conclusion that either his blood pressure dropped too quickly or his blood sugar dropped. Since the so called "nurse" had no idea, we diagnosed him ourselves. Rusty gives blood all the time and has now decided that he will never do it again, especially on a "date night"! :)

Will it ever end????

Hi all! Just wanted to blog a minute to give an update. Jameson is still wheezing/coughing/snotting! :) He is feeling much better, but we have been on breathing treatments, which I have come to loathe! Try putting a mask with smoke coming out of it on a 7 month old and see how well they like it..oh did I mention I am supposed to do it 4 times a day. Not happening.....I am just doing it 2 times a day. He is also on antibiotics because his ears were red and on cough meds. I feel like the poor baby has been drugged up his whole life so far. I feel sorry for him. He is probably looking at the world in a fog all the time. Ha.... Anyway, he is doing much better and is crawling like none other. He still has his "bum leg" which is all bruised up. His knees are yellow from all the bruises. We still just have 2 teeth, but are working on some more...I know it. He will be 8 months old this week and I can still picture the day I was in the hospital so clearly. It doesn't seem that long ago. He is 34 weeks old this week and I remember when I was 34 weeks pregnant. I was big and hot and thought I would go into labor anytime. Little did I know that I still had 6 more long weeks ahead of me! I sit and daydream about being in the hospital and being in such a fog. I don't remember him being so tiny and I can remember how overwhelmed I was. When I think back to that day it makes me want to do it all over again....soon! I know you probably think I am crazy, but I can't wait to have another sweet baby! I love Jameson so much, and just when I don't think my heart can hold anymore love, he does something else and it gets even more full. It is the little things, like, his little hand reaching up for me, his limp head on my shoulder when he falls asleep, his eyebrows frowning when he discovers he can do something new, the sound he makes when he is eating. It is so amazing! As far as the rest of us go, I am doing well, I can't breathe out of my nose right now, but other than that I am well. Blasted allergies. I will be so glad when it is summer and the pollen is gone. We can't stay well in the camp house this year. Jameson gets it, then I get it, then Rusty gets it. It is and endless cycle. WILL IT EVER END?????? I know things could be much worse and I thank God daily that we are all healthy and happy. He has blessed us greatly. Thanks for reading. I will leave you with a cute picutre that will bring a smile to anyone's face.

House

It has been a while since I have mentioned our house. We love it and are enjoying being in it. I still have boxes to unpack and there are still empty rooms, but one day it will be done. Here is a picture of the front and the back. This was the week after it snowed and there is still snow on the roof. We still need to do our landscaping and I am going to get rocking chairs and a swing for the porches. I am also going to put some planters on the porch with flowers in them. Maybe by this summer I will have all of that done. Have a great week.

Lots of news for you.....

Well, it has been a while since I have blogged and I have the news to prove it. Remember Jameson had bronchitis for the 2nd time about 4 weeks ago? Well this is the face I had to deal with all week while I was at home with him. It is too precious not to post.

We finally started feeling better with a little cough here and a little cough there, here a cough, there a cough, everywhere a cough cough....sorry Jameson's favorite song is Old McDonald right now so I make everything sound like it. Anyway, last week the daycare called me on Wed. and said he had diarrhea. So I go pick him up and he had it for 4 days. The kind that runs down there legs, out the diaper, and onto the floor!! It was not pretty to say the least. Anyway, I called the pediatrician and the nurse said it was probably teething. I couldn't believe teeth would make my child excrete so much bodily fluid! I mean I was amazed that such a little being could produce so much. So.....I just kept wiping and praying that it stopped soon. On Friday last week Jameson started wheezing and coughing again. So I called the nurse again. She said it was probably his allergies and to keep giving him his inhalers. So, he would squirt and I would squirt (the inhaler that is)! Bless his heart. He is still not better so I am taking him to the doctor today.

On a lighter note, Jameson is crawling. He is so cute. However, he has a "bum leg". He crawls with one leg out and the other one tucked under. It is so funny. Here is a picture to prove it.

Now that Jameson is mobile, I am super tired at the end of the day. I have to watch him constantly. He is all over the place and can scoot very fast. He has gotten a few bruises already from falling and bumping into things before I could reach him. I am tired, but it is so fun to see him grow and move. It just reminds me of how blessed I am to have a healthy child. His favorite thing to try to get is Lilly's dog food. He has almost gotten it a few times now. He also has 2 teeth and is working on more(i.e. diarrhea). :) Here is a picture of those pearly whites. They are so cute. It is not a very good picture, but when you get the camera out to take a picture it is like he knows not to smile. Go figure.

Jameson also LOVES to be outside. He even whines to go back out when I bring him in. We stroll daily and Rusty and I took him to the park on Sunday. He didn't quite know what to do, but he eventually warmed up to it and loved the slide. They had a little kiddie slide and Rusty would let him go and I would catch him at the bottom. He really liked it. Here are a few pictures from the park.

This is the longest blog ever, but I hope you enjoy reading as much as I enjoy reading your blogs. As you can see, God has blessed us greatly with a perfect healthy child. I am so thankful for my family and friends.

New Update

Sorry it has been so long, but nothing really exciting has been happening with the Camp family. Jameson had Bronchitis for the 2nd time last week so I was out of work all week at home with him. He had it really bad this time. We had to do a breathing treatment, 2 inhalers, a decongestant, and steroid (boooooo steroids)! If you have ever given your child a steroid you know that it makes them incredibly irritable and ill! I basically held my child for 7 days last week. He wouldn't do anything without me holding him. I know he didn't feel good though. He is on the mend now and I think I am getting it. I am coughing my head off and have some trouble talking; which is not good because my job requires lots of talking. Anyway, Jameson is just moving and growing. He has 2 teeth now. They are so cute. I love to see him smile and those two little teeth shine so bright. He can go from his tummy to a sitting position now too. I don't have to sit him back up when he falls over anymore. He is on the verge of crawling too. He crawled just a little last night, but still hasn't mastered it. He can pull up on things now too. He loves to stand up and bounce. His daycare worker said she was amazed at how much he learned in 1 week while he was out sick. Everyone tells me that he is so advanced and smart for his age. I have always thought that, but I am the mom and I am supposed to think that! :) Nothing else is really going on. Life revolves around our little man and we love it! Thanks for reading I will have some pictures soon.
