Waiting for that lovely document from USCIS in the mail.  I don’t think we’re going to make our agencies cut off this week for sending our dossier to China.  Bummer, huh?  So, maybe we won’t make the 10/1 date?  Who knows, but oddly enough, I don’t feel panicked about it.  So, so terribly odd for me – I panic over most everything!

Oh, how I would LOVE to get the letter in the mail tomorrow, take it to the county to get certified Wednesday am, to the Secretary of State Wednesday, overnight it to our courier for delivery Thursday and then she can take it to the State Department and Consulate on Friday for delivery back to me on Monday.  Right?  Right???  Oh wait, Monday is a holiday.  That leaves Tuesday.  Yikes.

Okay… maybe now I’m a little panicked.

Just a quick post to say that I caved and called the National Benefits Center this afternoon and our I-800A application was approved TODAY! I'll be spending the weekend getting everything together and then wait not so patiently for the letter to arrive in the mail! Then rush, rush, rush to get the one document notarized, state certified, US Dept of State certified and to the Chinese consulate. Hey, I'll take it. Looks like we might make our 10/1 deadline afterall!(FINGERS CROSSED!!!!!!)
