house

Lately…

Okay so i need to update the pictures but the living room is coming along… Slowly but surely…  We’ve been contemplating on what we want to do with the front room… feel free to leave a comment or a site that gives ya some good ideas… were thinkin'  bead board on the walls and eventually way down the road doing a wood floor just in the front room so the carpet doesn’t get beet. I found a really cool lookin' chandelier that i want to put in the room… i don't know if goes with our style though. Give me some feedback…

chandelier I also love this idea and i’d put it right where this one is… behind the front door…

Anyways keep throwing me some ideas…. if ya have some!

Love you Sissy!

us tryin to get a pic together at Kneaders.

Our Saturday night

Okay so Last night (Saturday night) Ryan got invited to go to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He was just plannin to go by himself cause i had to work. Last min ryan asks me to get work off so i could go with him. So... I did. He hurried and raced home from work on Saturday and got ready and as we were heading out the door Ry asks "Lets just take your car". I recently heard they were giving away some pretty cool prizes at this thing, Guns, Four-wheeler, Safe ect... So i just threw out the comment "Maybe we should take the truck what if you win a safe". He laughed and said get your car started. So we headed to Provo. When we got in there were lines everywhere to buy raffle tickets and balloons that had tickets in them for certain prizes. So I got in one of the lines and bought a balloon and some raffle tickets for $100. ( i'm soo anal about this stuff i felt a little sick for just throwin' down a 100 bucks!) So... took my balloon back to our table and then they started dinner. Were all kinda hangin' out talkin and then the announcer gets up and shares some things and some good hunting trips and such. Then the Live auction starts. Listening to the guy is pretty cool! The auction goes FOREVER! After that they start doing the drawings around the room. We put in for a bowling ball. The womans gun, a sleeping bag and a couple other guns. No luck. So... they tell everyone to pop their balloons. Pull out there ticket write there name on one half and keep the other half. So we throw in our ticket and there is a 1 in 30 chance... this is for a nice gun or the big gun safe. Soo the announcer says k were drawin for the safe first... he pulled out a ticket and he shouted "Ryan Cottle" we both jumped up and screamed we couldn't believe it!!!! So... i'm glad we went!!! I take back all my bickering before. Pretty nice! Here is some pics. Ryan was pretty dang excited!

Our friends Tillie and Chase! (i think chase looks bummed? ha probably cause he didnt throw down! cause were hoppin he's savin his cheddar for Tillies ring!!!)

Ryan and his safe! Look at that big grin! ha

Grandma's house

Thank you for the good times...
  • that when we have the tv, the heater, and a couple lights on in the living room the circuits cut short and we need to go outside to flip the breaker...
  • thank you for the fun times me and ryan chased each other around the house(cause the house goes in a direct circle)...
  • the cool flour sifter that grandpa built into the cabinets...
  • the motion light that came on in the middle of the night...
Thank you for the cool key we received when renting this house!
(this is the actual key grandma used!)

  • thank you for the rather small bathroom where you could do the 3 B's.... bathe, go to the bathroom and brush your teeth all at the same time
  • thanks for leaving some cool gadgets behind, such as the the old blow dryer made completely out of metal, your old cash book that you recorded every dollar spent, and the fun cake decorator that i use today as well as the cute dessert spoons...
  • the window in the bedroom that used to whistle when the wind was blowing... (kinda scary)
  • the tools left in the shed and the jars grandpa made to sort his nails... such a neat idea!
  • the empty jars left in the cellar from the 70's! So cool to look back...

  • the time when we discovered that there once was a chimney in this house
  • that under the carpet there was wood floors that grandpa did by hand..
  • that there is a basement... its called a cellar
  • the front door that mumbles when a big, loud truck drives by...
  • thank you for the kitchen sink that held a few dishes and then was time to hand wash them... that was a humbling experience! (considering i had to beg ry to do them)

Grandma were glad we had the opportunity to rent this house and discover the wonderful things behind it... Also the good things that come from living so close to family we will miss that! We had a wonderful and exciting adventurous year in this house! Thank you for keepin us warm!
