Sicky sick

This winter certainly has not been as bad as past ones, but we have still had our fair share of reflux, fever-filled sleepless nights.  Poor Lucy Goosey gets it the worst.  She fell asleep for her nap on the couch one day, which definitely means she wasn't feeling well because this never ever happens.  If she's sleeping, she's in her bed.  Poor sick girly.

You win some, you lose some.

Queen Elsa came to Costco with us today.  In sweat pants and heels.  Pick your battles, right? When it's not anything important, I don't mind letting her do stuff like wear sweatpants with Elsa shoes to grocery shop, because it just perfectly captures her in this moment at this age.  I love my little Elsa.

The Naz Play Place

Lucy: "Look at me, mom!  Take picture, send to daddy!"

More pigtails and braids and pictures of funny faces

Because Claire wouldn't let me get a great picture of her piggy's the other day, I had to take more.  And because they are just that cute.  And Lucy wanted in on the fancy hair and pictures, and what mom of girls can say no to that?!?!

She likes what she she's in the mirror, as she should!
And yep, her cheeks are still deliciously chubby!
I love this picture of Lucy because you can tell she is smiling really big and I can see the tiniest bit of that dimple showing.
Claire's cute little fingers in this picture kill me!  She's trying so hard to grasp the bed hard enough to pull herself up on the bed.

Claire's first pig tails

January 26, 2015: Claire's first pigtails. :)  Definitely a day to go down in history because from here on out, it's all pig tails and braids and fun stuff. Ha!  She wouldn't sit still long enough for me to get a great picture, but oh well.  I still think she looks pretty darn cute, despite how teeny tiny they are!
For some reason, I have to pull out this stool for Lucy to sit on while I do her hair or else she will refuse to let me even brush it.  Whatever works, the only problem is that it is usually in my closet buried under a small pile of clothes that I have yet to hang up again. ;)
I had to throw this picture in because this is totally Claire.  The first thing she always wants to go and do in my room is play with the monitors.  Today, it became a phone.  Silly girl!

High school BFF

One of my best friends from high school, Ashley, lives with her husband in Cincinnati area (technically on the Kentucky side, but still feels like Ohio to me).  Her parents still live in Cleveland, so lucky for me they decided to meet halfway in Columbus for lunch one day and she invited me to come visit them.  It was so fun to sit and catch up with her and her parents for a while.  She is literally the only person I still keep in touch with from high school and I am sure we will always be in touch because that is just how our relationship is.  We don't have to see each other and talk often but when we do get together, it's like picking up right where we left off!

Swimming in January

We found a rec center on the other side of Columbus that has a really cool indoor water place and we thought we would give it a try.  My, Marci, and Shayne took all 9 of our kids one Friday night when our husbands were all busy and we had so much fun!  The "Watering Hole" had a little kid playground type thing, a lazy river, a whirlpool, hot tubs, water slides, etc.  After we swam for a few hours, we got dressed and ate our packed dinners out in the lobby area where there was a huge indoor tree house playground that kept the kids busy for another long while!  Needless to say, they slept well that night!

My cinderella

The girls nap at the same time everyday, which means that is when I get a lot of stuff done.  This particular day, I had a little girlie who refused to nap and refused to have quiet time.  So, I put her to work with chores on my list.  She was thrilled to mop for me and did a pretty decent job, except when she had to dip the mop in the bucket again and lifted the whole thing above her head and through the door to get to the bucket behind her (if you can even imagine what I described). Ha!

Home Preschool

I just love having a weekly get-together with our little neighbor buddies.  It's a good thing for us moms and the kids.

Gymnastics, round 2

Lucy started gymnastics again.  Her friend Hudson is in the class as well ("church Hudson" as opposed to "neighbor Hudson").  The last gymnastics class we had was a "mommy and me" type thing, where moms walked around and helped their kids do all of the obstacles.  This time around, the parents sit on the stage and Lucy is not a fan of that!  The only way she will go is if Hudson is there.  She is so cute though once she gets going and realizes how fun it is!

Me and my girls

I love having two little girls.  It is so fun to see them play dress up and babies and other girly things together.  One of my favorite things is when they are in their own little world together making each other laugh and they don't know that I am watching.  Love these girls!
Snuggling up together, along with Big Bear, on a cold winter morning.
Lucy: "Mom. Take picture."  I always obey when she tells me to do so, because obviously that moment was picture worthy to her in some way or another, which makes it even more picture worthy to me.
Toddler storytime at the downtown library with the Neeley's.
Lucy dressed me up and then wanted to take a picture.
This girl is all snuggles all the time and I seriously can't get enough of it.  I am definitely going to majorly miss this someday!  She always has to have a grip on my shirt.

Crazy hair, don't care.

One of Claire's favorite words to say is "bow!"  I love these pictures of the girls because they cracked each other up with their silliness and Claire's sassy faces are totally "Claire" looks.

Snow day!

This was our first big snow storm of the season and we made the most out of it!  It was too powdery to build a snowman, but we made snow angels, played with pool toys in the snow, sled down the driveway in the kiddie pool, and chased each other!  Yes, that is my mom not wearing snow clothes and doing snow angels with Lucy in the snow.  Also, Lucy loved the snow, but Claire had a love/hate for it.  She had a little cold though, so the constant runny nose made it a little more uncomfortable for her.  After freezing our tails off, we went inside and had hot chocolate! I love how snow makes everything so bright and cheery!
