After Family Home Evening tonight, we decided to go to Lowes so we could check out some things we'll need when we remodel our guest bathroom. They have a bathroom section with lots of bathtubs, sinks, and toilets on display at the ends of the isles. Sonny and I were looking at one of the sinks for two seconds and by the time we turned around, Ryen had her pants down around her ankles and was climbing up onto one of the toilets with her bare cheeks on display for all the world to see. I shrieked, "Ryennnn!!!!! NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" There was no mistaking that girl was going for the gold! It takes a lot to make me blush, but as I was listening to people all around us laugh hysterically, I could feel my face turning a bright shade of red... humiliation red perhaps? Just FYI- those toilets are displays... only displays. They are not hooked up to any pipes. No water runs to them. Can't you just imagine my 3-year-old's gift to the world just sitting there, in a Lowes toilet display in the middle of a home improvement store? God help the underpaid employee who opens up that can... literally.

Santa's Swing Set
The girls have LOVED playing on their new swing set! They must have made it onto Santa's good list for sure! (For some reason the photos I tried to upload of the actual swing set aren't loading right. So, I guess, just trust me. It's here.)

Whew
It was so much fun getting ready for Christmas this year! We did most of our shopping early so we were able to spend our time doing lots of other more meaningful things together. Christmas morning was so much fun as the girls came downstairs to discover the things Santa left for them. They were both so excited! Especially when Ryen looked in the backyard and saw the swing set "with a big slide" that she had asked Santa for. It was a bit of a rush opening all of our presents and then running around the house trying to pack for Arizona. We were off in a flash and spent most of Christmas day on an airplane. I don't think I would do that again, but it was more than worth it to be able to spend time with our family. We had a wonderful Christmas and hope you did too!
