Part 2

Hey Daddy,
I can say your name real good now. I've looked all over for you but you don't seem to be here.
I did find Rascal though. I gave him big loves for you.

It snowed here. There wasn't any when I went to bed and then I woke up to snow up to my tummy.

Aunt Mandi went out in the cold with me to show me the snow. I didn't know what to do so I just copied whatever she did.

This white stuff is CRAZY fun but it's a good thing mommy got me my coat.
I'm not very good with the phone but I'm talking a lot. Mom keeps calling you so that hopefully you can hear some of it. We are having a lot of fun hanging out here. My aunts and grandparents are great distractions from the fact that I'm not at home with you. Aunt Court taught me a fun game where I throw the ball down the stairs and she throws it back to me. Aunt Jetti has these fun dogs that go and get balls I throw. By the way I say the word Doggie really good now. Doggie, Daddy, yes, I shake my head for no, I kind of have ball down. Still no mom though, but I do give her kisses and give her hugs for you every now an then.

I love you!
Your E.Claire,
Elise

busy season trip 1

Dear Ryan,
Hello from Utah. We miss you terribly. Elise definitely has your name down. She calls for you and will randomly look around and say it. Did you enjoy the love notes we left you?
We haven't been having too much fun while you've been working hard. We've only hung out with family, been out to eat, and played at an incredibly fun kids museum. I took some pictures so that you could feel like you were there with us.

They had a big room of balls. Elise has been loving balls. Grandma and Kylie have been teaching her how to throw them.

She already is too interested in driving a car. I think we should be worried she could only go backwards...

WATER! All the water fun without having to take a bath. Can life get any better? Elise would submit that it cannot.

I couldn't get her to slide down the slide. She just wanted to run up and down. She was pretty cute.

Every once in a while she will come up and look in my face and blabber for a little bit and end in "Yes".
Whatever she's saying it's probably really important.
We need the Heyborne's to get a dog because she keeps cuddling the TV and books when she sees pictures of dogs. So cute! She had a lot of fun when we went to Jetti and Scott's new house and visited their two dogs, and their beds were like perfect little chairs for her. We'll keep calling you and leaving you random messages. Love you mostest!

Favorite Things

Ryan was a sweetheart and while I was babysitting he went to the store and bought Elise the biggest balloon in the store. Needless to say she was in heaven.

She was showing me her balloon, it didn't make for a great picture.

Love the balloon dad, THANKS.

He also got me double chocolate Milanos and a Dr. Pepper and  a gorgeous long stemmed red rose.  Makes for a really great present for this girl (not reccommended for all girls, I've alwasy been "special").

Valentine Dinner with the Heyborne's

I made a really easy dinner so after church I had the time to set up the table all Valentine's-y. I just used scrapbook paper and a decoration I made for valentine's as the centerpeice.

I had a little too much fun for just setting the table.

We ate and played Ryan's new little toy, a new xbox and the kinect. Trish brought yummy dessert. All in all I had a lot of fun that night. I hope everyone else did  too!

Table Manners

Elise usually doesn't like to get dirty and eats very daintily. Honestly, I usually don't even use a bib when I feed her. Today during our all orange lunch though, I found out that if she doesn't like her food (namely macaroni and cheese) that she has no qualms about spreading it all over her face, and hair, and hands, and shirt, and table, and chair.
I had to blow this one up so you wouldn't miss the chunk of macaroni stuck in her eyelashes. She's eating the mandarin oranges by the way. I didn't even get her to try one single noodle. She would just stick her tongue out and taste it and hit the fork away. Sigh.

She looks so old here, No more baby girl, although I still call her that.

Oh yeah, she was having a blast.

We're working right now on the basics of table manners. I don't care if she wants to eat the food but food goes either in your mouth or on the plate. We are still learning.

I lied, sorry

This is the last valentine's decoration I'll blog about. I started it first and finished it last. So you can see why I'm a little confused about it's order. I love this one. It's beautiful for being made of crepe paper and a Styrofoam ball.

Total Cost: $3.99 for the Styrofoam ball (I did have a 40% off coupon but I used it on something more expensive. 2 things of crepe paper at $.89 each. I didn't use much of the second one but I needed it to make the ball look nice.

less than two weeks

Less than two weeks til Valentine's Day and I got my last decoration done. That's good for me (seeing as how I already admitted to not being done with my Christmas side still, I did that one too by the way. I choose Holy Night) Anyway here are my blocks. It feels good to have it all done.
