Playing Around

Dear Daddy,
Here is some video mom shot for you. I was playing outside today, the weather here in Utah is crazy. Snowing one day and nice and sunny the next. You can hardly tell that we got like ten inches of snow this weekend.

the hogle zoo

I took Elise to the zoo for her first time but she seemed happier to watch her friends than the animals. Almost all the pictures I got were of her sitting in front of the animal and watching her friends off to the side. It was how most of the day went. It was nice to get out with friends and go to the zoo. I'm so glad that these posse kids get along so well together.
I couldn't decide if she was more interested in the giraffe or the fact that there was a step to climb on.

watching her friends

she doesn't really look at me anymore for pictures, it makes me a little sad

Trying to take a picture of three toddlers is crazy on our part. Here is the best one I got Alli and Amy.

She was so proud that she swung her self underneath that pole that she had to show me and then repeat and repeat and repeat.  I think it may have been her favorite part of the zoo.

we watched the elephant for a while he was fun!

I think this maybe the only picture of her looking at an animal and I don't even remember what animal it was.

No, no, no, no, no

Elise speaks with attitude, luckily she only tells the dogs no, not me.

Mickey Mouse

Just in case you wondered what Elise's favorite toy is, it's Mickey mouse. He comes almost everywhere with us. We went into the store to see if she would pick out a toy and she picked two of these up and gave them to grandma went and got more to give grandpa. My goodness she's in love. She's so cute when you ask her who it is she'll start trying to sing the Mickey mouse clubhouse song and moves her head back and forth like Mickey does at the beginning. He gets to eat and drink whatever she has around and he gets rides in the toy bucket.

I just wish it were easier to keep him clean, he's almost as big as she is so his feet frequently drag on the ground. Luckily she doesn't have to have him to sleep so we get a washing machine break at night.

Disneyland with moms

For anyone wondering if they should take their one year old to Disneyland by themselves, the answer is heck no! Elise was pretty well behaved and stood in line by herself so it was nice not having to hold her always in line like last time we went. The hard part was picking her up one handed because she would just go limp while holding my hand or I would be carrying the stroller and diaper bag in the other arm and was picking Elise up to get her into the tram. Let me just say that I love the swell people at Disneyland willing to help an overwhelmed mom out.
I called this post Disneyland with moms because my mom actually got to into the park and ride four or five rides the day I was there. It was awesome getting to see her in there!
