Can't believe I haven't posted for 2 WHOLE WEEKS! Work is getting dreary... Can't wait to quit.
Let me tell you a story...
Long long time ago, there was a girl. On her 8th birthday, she went to the Chapel for a visit...
There were many little girls there, and they were very friendly. The sisters there allowed the girls to bring her to the playground...
When the girls left, the little girl was all alone... then came a blue lorry. A father and son arrived. The son was carrying a soccer ball. The father went about his business and the boy was alone. Then he saw the little girl. So they sat down right there and played with the soccer ball...
2 hours passed by, and the father returned for the son. The girl never saw him again.
12 years later, the little girl came back to teach at the student care centre. She took the chance to visit the chapel again and secretly took photos to blog about it.
THE END
This is the blue cabin, the inside looks dark cos there was a lizard at the lights so I didn't dare to go near the switch. Its a counselling room, and there are DVDs and videotapes to watch there too.
This is the green cabin, full of games and books. The place is sealed most of the time so it feels more like a suana than anything else.
The playground in the centre... squirrels like to come here.
The awning. A great breakdancing zone for aaron. Usually a place to assemble for scolding.
Here's the kids at the centre!
Jiaqi... little miss crybaby.
Ashley holding the bowl... her father's a producer at Mediacorp. No prizes for guessing why I treat Ashley extra nice when her father's around.
Sarah... Very cute, has a monkey brother also in the centre.
May... little miss congeniality. Take a look at her gap!
Xingying. Doesn't like to do homework, but looks cute.
Bigger kids. Yuijuin and Kailing. Yuijuin's name is pronouced Eugene, ha! ha!
Those that you haven't seen is either they ran away and hate to take photos, or they are so plain ugly I don't bother to put their photos up.
Look at this mat carefully...
TENDER BEAR? More like MUSCLE BEAR. Look at those rippling muscles... BIZARRE!

Decided to post more before I get completely bushed from work tomorrow onwards.
Yesterday went for huiguan chalet. it was NOT a chalet. more like a puny hotel room. the main interacting happened downstairs at the BBQ pit. there wasn't real interacting, more of dirty jokes and watching the guys oogling at girls from neighbouring BBQ pits. junchun came! dear me he certainly looks fairer and fatter and his complexion is definitely much better than before...
read ian's blog. ian, if you are reading this, what i have to say to you is:
I mean, what the fuck do you think you're doing? PLAYBOY? my foot. after countless of times me and joan trying to tell you just be yourself you still dont get it, do you? your blog post is a disgrace to MENkind, so remove it. and stop sounding so horribly despo ok. im sorry i have to humiliate you like this but its time for me to step in and do something. wad i suggest you do is:
1.go for a makeover (lose those specs of yours, or get a cool pair.)
2.read books on self appreciation
3.play more badminton
4.stop watching anime
5.stop CRYING watching anime
after reading your POV on the tsunami, i shall just add on to it.
the tsunami tragedy is a tsunami tragedy. tsunami=NATURAL disaster
so what the hell in the world can you do about it?
agreed that most of the places that were destroyed/partially destroyed were all ang moh infested tourist areas. sure tourism is the main source of income but come on, life is getting worthless being SECOND class citizens, serving in the tourism industry as waiters, ah sums, cleaners and prostitutes. take a look around. did the ang mohs give a damn when the disaster struck? NO. anyways if im still in elwin's class im sure he'll be cynically complimenting the tsunami.
joan said its nature's way of controlling the population, agreed. so the world is rid of 163,370 people and counting. no discrimination, no selecting who should or should not die, we leave it to the hands of God. isn't that great? and the best thing is, asia is the most densely populated and highest populated area in the world. yes we have to thank our lucky stars that our asses are left unscathed but look at what Singapore is doing.
come help in packing of tsunami disaster! packing donation, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity, publicity.

I looked at my new year's resolutions and strike out those that i have broken.
1.I WILL lose 10kg before June.
2.I will stop gorging horribly unhealthy food.
3.I will start exercising.
4.I will be slightly nicer to those I hate. (Except for some)
5.I will stop bitching secretly about others.
6.I will try to go to a church regularly.
7.I will NOT deprive myself of TV.
8.I will keep tabs on my savings.
9.I will love and show consideration towards my family and friends even when they piss me off.
10.I will try to 'feel' more for the people who died in the tsunami. (Yes I don't really give a damn)
11.I will continue to support Sylvester no matter how brainless everyone thinks it is.
GREAT.
okie its the weekend (FINALLY) so let me briefly talk abt my working experience...
basically the student centre (Marian Centre, not Marion Centre as i said earlier, sorry) is a centre where the kids (mostly Marymount Convent girls) who are from poor or problematic families, so they come every day (depending afternoon/morning session) and do homework, sleep eat and play until its time to go school or home.
so im there, to do homework, sleep eat and play with them until its time to go school or home! im just a temp teacher, so i dont get involved in programme planning like the perm teachers. its horrible and nice at the same time to be with the kids...
negative: their outstanding mastery of deceit and putting blame on others (applies to P5 and 6
positive: the cuteness and innocence that they possess. ok thats bullshit. they suck up to you. so this is negative as well.
all of them try to suck up to you. you will know it if u are alert enough. when u start being serious with them they'll abandon you. their attempts to suck up to you hides an agenda. it sounds quite horrible when i put this in words but its the truth. only some (and i really mean SOME) are genuinely nice to you. some like to abuse your authority by claiming that you gave permission to do this and that and order others around.
and i have to put up with their innocent insults.
girl: "miss seet. how old are you?"
me: "19!"
girl: "but you don't look 19!"
me: "REALLY!!!!" *beams*
girl: "yah you look older! 20 something 30 something!"
me: "WHAT!"
girl: "its not your looks... its your body."
boy: "miss seet. who you like? joel or joshua or george?"
me: "i like you."
boy: "but who you want to be your boyfriend?"
me: "you loh!"
boy "NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!" *shakes head vigourously*
so you see it isnt at all fun to be with these little devils. the most accomplishing time is homework time, where i force them to do their homework neatly. that's when they hate me. but the next day they'll be grinning from ear to ear saying "miss seet! yesterday the homework i got ALL correct!"
i dont think im up to keep this job. my english is getting from bad to worse, having to simplify every sentence i say to let them understand. and my jokes always get the cold shoulder. i blame it on their low intellect, not my poor joking skills.
i like getting cute things from them:
the top left hand one is a paper crane glued to a piece of paper with the words "i love you miss seet" no i didnt write it myself.
the red colour thing is a paper crown... another case of sucking up.
the one in the middle with the luminous top and multi coloured boxes is a chinese new year card made by a P1 girl.
the right side is a notepad given to me by a P6 girl in EM3 who cant calculate 1X5. but im glad to say she has better confidence of herself now i forced her to do her maths properly.
i found some interesting things in the centre. shall secretly take some photos and share with everyone soon! take cares pple! *huggies*

browsed here and there in HMV and saw Kui Jien. OMG he's REALLLLLLYYYY good looking, but i was too passive to go up and take a photo with him. joely didnt help me either... so we just watched him buy an oldie album and left. rats.

Happy New Year 2005 to all!
I found a job! As a teacher at the Marion Student Care Centre along Thompson Road. Pay is crappy, but it's better than nothing. I start work on 3rd, the weekdays from 8.30am to 5.30pm. So I'm officially NOT FREE to laze around anymore. But I can still hang out after work! It's not a long term job as I plan to quit after January. Then I shall once again be a full-time slacker!
The kids there aren't too friendly. One of the teachers introduced me to some of them. There's one called Joel, and the rest I can't remember. I tried to smile, but one of them had an evil look. I've decided that one month of work there is just nice before my body is discovered in the bushes covered with children's teeth marks.
Today was rather eventful. In the drizzling morning, me, Joannie, Geri, Mel and John went to help out at the SPH in Toa Payoh for the packing of stuff to send to the tsunami affected areas. Jeannie couldn't make it as she was suffering from a hangover (Yes HANGOVER). I spent some time gushing at the baby wear (I'm not being silly, they are really cute!) and packed quite some boxes of stuff (mainly clothes), labelling, and sealing the boxes.
There were reporters and photographers around... Making these little girls (4-6 years old I presume) pack a box and snapping pictures of them. How terribly cliche. I started around 9am and ended at around 11am as there wasn't alot to do. Don't blame us, the adults were really bossy.
We then went to the kopitiam across and had lunch there and talked for a while, then made our way to Toa Payoh Central where we settled down in Starbucks for Mocha and Potato Salad while yakking away till 5pm. I LOVED the way it was, just sitting down doing nothing but talk. Life should be this way. Forever.
We talked about loads of stuff from Joan's sister to the TV to the tsunami to Mr.Quack, to the hopeless guys in our class. Details shall not be disclosed!
Finally Mel put up the photos of the class BBQ! Here's the loot:
Chih, Jocelyn and Wenhui while I'm TOTALLY engrossed in my current favourite show, Channel U's Virtues of Harmony at 7.30pm! People do watch it! If you look closer you'll see my busted knees from the iceskating session.
Group photo: From top left: Me, Geri, Jeannie, Joan and Mr.Quack!
From bottom left: Joely, Teresa, Mel, Crystal, Chih and PS. Jocelyn and Wenhui are the ones in blue and black top respectively.
Mr.Quack! And Mel and me! Mel says I'm TOO happy. Right.
The WonderWomen!

Joannie and Mel
First day of 2005 and so far it has been a great start. I am not really looking forward to the job but hopefully I will get to enjoy it soon. Wish me luck folks! And hope you've all made your new year's resolutions!
