Chloe's Birthday Party

Despite a fever, Chloe ended up having very nice party. She loved her Dora Cake that was expertly crafted by Grandma Lynn:

She didn't seem to mind that the whole point of the pinata was to bash Dora in the face and body until her candy guts flew out. Justin worried that this would upset her. He is so sweetly protective of her. She seemed fine with it and was the first one to want some of that candy. She's a chocolate fanatic. She got so many cute clothes, accessories for her kitchen, the most adorable little pink table for her tea parties and for the food she makes in her kitchen, everything that her "babies" needed and a tricycle that converts to a bike. I hope I'm not forgetting anything.

Two Year Check Up

Chloe is now...
22 pounds (3rd percentile)
32 1/4 inches (10th percentile)
47.3 cm head (50th percentile)

The doctor said to stop worry about getting enough calories into her. She's perfectly heathy (her iron levels looked great this time) and just naturally small. She's also meeting all of her developmental milestones and then some. She just amazes us! In the last couple weeks she's learned most of the colors. She knows, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and pink. Black, brown, white and grey are yet to come. She knows what letter and numbers are. She tries to count things by saying, "Six, six, six" while pointing to the objects. When she sees letters she says letter names. They aren't the ones she's looking at, but they are letters. She is talking like crazy. I'm going to try to get some of her chatter on tape.

Yesterday's included 3 shots. She was so upset and I felt terrible. It always feels so wrong to hold a kid down and let someone stab them in the leg. Her little legs are really sore now as well. Here she is feeling all sore and cruddy but looking so darn cute in those jammies. I just love these:
Here she is pretending to sleep. If I say, "Okay, go to sleep." She'll shut her eyes and do the most convincing fake sleeping I've ever seen. This makes me crack up and then she can't help it and laughs too. Here's all 3 today chillin' outside with some lemonade popsicles. These were made at the insistance of Wyatt who has conducted about 30 freezing experiments so far this summer. These were much better than the last one which could be called the "what happens when you put salt, pepper, water and toys in a cup and freeze it" experiment.

Happy Birthday Chloe Elizabeth Katerina Bucy

Our baby girl is two!

When you ask her anything about her birthday she says, "Two!" or "Cake."Here is Chloe at

6 months:

12 Months:

15 Months:

18 Months: So, how did we spend the big day?

After running around shopping we picked up the boys and headed to the pool. We've gone nearly every day since school gotout and Chloe loooooves it.

After a nap Chloe woke up and got her present. She loves her little kitchen set. Her brothers were more than happy to help her break it in.

Then we headed to the mall and ate at the Rainforest Cafe. This is Chloe's secdon visit and she loves all the animals. Today there was ChiChi the frog walking around as well so it was quite exciting when they sang her Happy Birthday.

Then we went to Build-a-Bear where Chloe got to make her own animal (this was Jake and Wyatt's present for her). She of course chose a dog and then picked the cutest little cheerleading costume for her. She inisted on carying the huge box all the way through the mall. I got some video of that because it was so funny.

I think the whole day was quite exciting for her because it took my until 10:30 to get her to sleep. What a day!

Ahhhhhh... Summer

School's out and summer vacation is here. Here are the kiddos on the last day of school:
Wyatt lost his very first tooth ever! He was so excited. He followed Jake's lead and wrote the tooth fairy a very nice note asking to keep the tooth. Then he promptly lost the tooth which was so small it could barely be seen by the naked eye. In other big exciting news.... Chloe's hair is long enough for pig tails. She now says, "Ouchy hair" when I fix her little do's. But, aren't those the cutest little piggy tails ever!
I'll try to post some video clip of the kids playing together in the wagon. So cute!

Happy Birthday Justin

Justin got to spend his 36th birthday helping me shuttle the kids to three birthday parties. We did get to have a couple friends over for dinner and relax a little. I'm going to try to find a picture of Justin when we first met 13 years ago. Hey maybe I'll even find a baby picture.

Wyatt Graduates from Kindergarten

We no longer have kindergarten graduation at school, but Wyatt's afterschool program does a graduation. They also entertained us with several songs. It was very cute. Jake used his new Vidster kids video camera to captures some of the fun. Here are a few pics:Here's Wyatt at his end of the year party:
Here are all three on our way out the door. Notice Chloe with her bag. She insists on having hers on her back just like the boys.
Monday is Wyatt's last day of school and then Jake and I have a 1/2 day on Tuesday. Woo hoo!
