Happy Halloween

The kids had a great Halloween. Chlow was so excited to put on her fairy costume. I found a cute t-shirt to go under it because it was a little chilly. She was so excited to get to Miss Pat's and see the kids. We saw Pat as we were pulling up and she was dressed in her cat costume. After we talked about that Chloe said, "I go show Pat my fwaiwy." She was so excited to see all her little 2 and three year old buddies in their costumes. I have never seen anything cuter! At 1:00 Justin met Miss Pat's gang and took pictures of them as they paraded around the block. Then Justin, Chloe, Ian and Ian's mommy came to Grove to watch our parade. Chloe was so excited to see her mom, brothers and cousin in the parade. Then Justin and Chloe visited the boys' parties and my party in kindergarten.
After school Jake's best friend trick-or-treated for a few blocks with us.
Then we waited for the Styers to come over and trick-or-treat and have dinner. Tony stopped by later with the kids and we got this cute picture. Jen and Eric have a better one and some of the kids trick-or-treating. I'll put those up as soon as I get them.

Pumpkin Carving

On Saturday we carved pumkins. First, the kids designed their pumpkins.

Then, Daddy "helped" them carve and voila!

Wyatt Being Wyatt

Wyatt was so excited to see the frost on the ground... he had to run outside... to taste it. :) Wyatt is the quintessential "little boy." As my mom described him, a modern day Huckleberry Finn.

He's been very much a mamma's boy lately and has been needing me more than usual. I love every minute of it because I know the day that he doesn't want me to lay with him while he falls asleep is coming way too soon for me.

He recently went through a phase of being afraid that when it's time to grow up and move out, he will be afraid to. I explained that he'll probably feel differently when he's older. But, the only thing that helped him was when I promised he could live with us forever. I may have him sign something so he can't back out later. Hehe.

One Year Ago...

One year ago today we got our travel dates. We knew when were were leaving to get Chloe. It was all finally happening.

Here Chloe wearing Wyatt's Harry Potter glasses and giving us a big cheesy smile. She has just grown up so much!

The Patch

This is what Chloe called the pumpkin patch. More accurately she hopped around gleefully singing, "I wanna go patch, too." While we all got ready to get out the door on Saturday. It was a super windy (near 80') day. I think Goeberts can't really be classified as a pumpkin "patch." It's more like the pumpkin super mall. When I think of pumpkin patch, I probably think pony rides:
But, before this place, I woudn't have thought of camel rides! But the kids loved it! This was the boys second year riding the camels.
Jake was petrified by the haunted house. We certainly didn't even attempt to go in. The boys would NEVER want to do that. But, Jake was afraid of the house from many yards away and was convinced that it was going to make some kind of spooky noise. This is pretty typical for him and is often the reason for a melt down and our eventual depature. But, look at how well tmy big 8 year old boy handled it. He still smiled and had fun and just needed his fingers in his ears.
Chloe saw "Lella" from afar and never forgot that she was over there so we had to make a stop before leaving. It's like a game of "Where's Waldo" with Chloe and Cinderella. She will spot her everywhere. Here are my little sunshine boys. Chloe was too short to get her head properly into any of these little things. But, she sure did try her best.

Chloe is so darn cute!

No other reason for a post than these cute pictures and the fact that she is amazing! She knows all her letter names, sounds, colors, shapes and is talking up a storm.

My Baby Boy is 7

I cannot believe he is 7 already.

I made Wyatt's cake this year and the goody bag treats to go along with the Harry Potter theme. Wyatt had a great birthday. His party with his friends was from 11-1. 25 kids came! Wyatt is a very social little dude and every couple of days he would tell me about someone who we just HAD to invite. I am the same way, so everytime I would say okay until our list was up to 35 invited kids. Thanks to colds, flu and soccer, we had 25 come. They were mostly boys so it was pretty wild. Here's a few pics and a video of the kids jumping.

Then at 3 family arrived and we started all over again. This worked well because it was one jumpy house rental for two parties, but I was exhausted! I don't think I could do it that way again. Here are some pictures and a video of us singing Happy Birthday.

As you can see, he had a great day!

What a Difference a Day Makes aka Crazy Weather

Here are Jake and Chloe (Wyatt was apple picking with a friend's family)
splashing around in the baby pool on Monday, a balmy 80+ degree day in October.

Then the very next day we were in the 50's. I currently have every season of clothes out for the kids because the weather is so darn unpredictable.
