Pinewood Derby 2009

Jake took some time off from scouts this year, so Wyatt was the only entry. Last year he won first for design. This year he won 3rd. Still awesome!
There's a life size cutout of the prez, in the front lobby of our school. I had to get a shot of the kids with him. It is so life like that I feel like he is really looking at me everytime I walk by.
Looking at this picture you'd think Wyatt was talking about the car, the race, school... No, he is teachung the other boys to do the macarana. Check out the one to the right practicing his new "Wyatt moves."

Little Tony is a scout this year. Like the look of his one siz fits all shirt. Too cute!

Coco watching the race.

Our friends and neighbor, the Meeks and Morris' came to show their support for Wyatt. So nice!

Chloe's Friends

We've been stuck unside during this cold, cold, snowy winter. Luckily we all have lots of great friends to be stuck inside with. Here are a couple of Chloe's. This is Katy and below is Ian. Along with Joey and Sammy, these are her bestest friends. They play the most involved games. The current favorite is, "Family." It is so cute to hear them play. I need to get that on video!

Julie and John Visiting from Germany

My wonderful friend Julia and her fiance John came to visit in January and plan their summer wedding. It was so fun to see her. Chloe had a ball! The boys were very underenthused to be at lunch with grown-ups. I tried to take their picture, but they wouldn't look at the camera. Stinkers!

New Year's Eve 2008

Every year since before we were married, Justin and I have had a New Year's Day party. So, New Year's Eve was all about cleaning and cooking. When we started there were about 10 friends, two of whom had babies. We all fit nicely in our second floor apartment on Ridgeland Avenue in Oak Park. Each year we gained friends and friends had babies, etc. By last year we had over 100 people invited. 40+ were kids, we rented two tents with heaters. IT looked like Barnum and Bailey were coming to our backyard. Then, we got the stomach flu and had to cancel. We spent enough to have gone to Disney and had to cancel. That was when we decided that the party had outgrown us and our ability to host it. So, this year we got to spend a nice relaxing New Year's Eve with our wonderful friends. We've been hanging out since before we were married. It was so fun! Here's Chloe and I before we left. Check out her cute little dress from Grandma Lynn!

Everyone has someone their age!

This rock band is waaayyyy more entertaining than any other band at any big New Year's Eve party anywhere!
