Nohea Sayings...

So I'm just taking a minute to write down all the funny things that Nohea saying these days. I accidently packed her baby book, so I need somewhere to document these things! :)

1. "pock a boo"...instead of peek a boo. I love it when she hides under the table and then pops her head out and says "pock a boo!" haha!
2. I've been trying to get her to say "help me" or "I need help" instead of shouting when she's frustrated. So now she says "nee how...nee how". lol! Wyatt says she's speaking Chinese!
3. She loves to jump on the bed and say "clap your hands! rock and roll, rock and roll!" haha! we just figured out what she was saying with that one!
4. Nohea loved trick or treating this year. Now when she wants  a piece of her candy she just says "trick or treat?"...she got that one down quick! :)
5. When we ask her to pick a book to read she opens the drawer and says "let's see...hmmmmm...."

I feel like there's a lot more...but I can't think right now! :) So if I come up with more, I'll keep you posted!

Videos Galore!

So I haven't posted in a while because for some reason my videos weren't available on the blog. So now I got it working again and here we go!

Nohea and I went to Target to find a hat to wear at the beach. One of Wyatt's co-workers has family that have a house down at Rehoboth Beach in Delaware and they were kind enough to let us come for the 4th of July.

This one was my favorite hat, but it's straw and I knew it would fly away as soon as we got out of the car.

So we went with this white hat instead. I made the mistake of washing and drying it, so it shrunk and looked a little ridiculous at the beach. It flew off and in the water instantly! :)

Nohea made her daddy proud and looooved the water immediately. She would squeal excitedly and say "weeeee" when a wave would splash her. When the water would recede she'd say "whoa..." She could've stayed out there all day!

 Walking to the water.

Getting hit by a wave and loving it! haha!

Wyatt took her out pretty far and was so proud because she never took her eyes off the water, like she knew to be watching for waves. Instinct baby!

We enjoyed some Twizzler's in between "sets".

I just thought this face was funny! :)

Enjoying the fireworks from across a distance. We couldn't hear them, so Nohea didn't get freaked out.

She even liked the sparklers! It was way past bedtime, but she hung in there.

We slept in the same room together and Nohea's pack and play was literally right next to me. She woke up in the morning chattering away to herself, then stood up and saw that we were right there. She was sooooo excited! Haha! I just love her face here!

And here!

We did one more morning at the beach!

 "catching a wave!" haha!

So Nohea is famous for not sleeping anywhere but her bed! Literally less than five minutes after we got in the car she was passed out! Gotta love the beach!

So this is one of Nohea's favorite games! She looooves her laundry basket! She head dives into it, throws her legs up and squeals! If I'm calling for her she chatters excitedly because she's "hiding" and can't take the anticipation! haha! Cracks me up!

Look who thinks she's big enough to wear mama's shoes!

 "wrestling with daddy!"

Nohea's grandma Claire sent us a bunch of activities we missed at the family reunion. This punch balloon is her favorite and she's finally gotten down the punching part! I love her little mouth hanging open while she's concentrating!

Scared face!

She gets so excited when she reaches mommy's cup and gets a sip. It's just water, but she always says "mmmmmmm...."

She loves going to the Disney Store at the mall. She grabs every Minnie she can get her hands on and loves the music!

We had a little mishap with a wet diaper, so she is pantsless...

Swinging with daddy!

One of the other activities we missed at the family reunion was catching butterflies. Nohea and I have gone out a few times to catch some. She's very good at watching and following them...but not so good at the actual catching part yet!

She did manage to get a leaf though!

We have a Mickey Mouse book showing the letters and something that letter begins with, so we like to go over letters with Nohea. I was showing her one time that D was for Daddy, so this video shows her reaction when I said D was for Daisy.

Her latest word is "okay" or "ah choo". Her okay's are so funny cause she does this little head nod with it. I was talking to her one night about how we are an eternal family and we can be together forever, but that she has to be a good girl and always listen to mommy and daddy. Her response was "okay!" haha!

Wyatt's same co-worker that let us come to the beach with her, also gave us her room key so we can use the pool at her hotel while they are working! How sweet! Nohea loves it! We got her these ginormous floaties but she quickly learned out to stay afloat with them. If she stopped kicking, she sinks a little. She is a quick quick learner!

This is kind of a crappy video, but I love her squeals of delight!

And she loved jumping in!

She is such a water baby and we love it!

Totally Slacking!

I've been informed it's been a while since I last posted. We haven't done anything too exciting, so here is a little demo of what our daily life looks like!

Nohea makes these hilarious "scared" faces! She will randomly do it just to make us laugh! It's so much better in person though!

Getting some daddy love after work! Love that laugh!
We finally found a bigger park. It's a little bit of a drive, but it's close to Panera, so yummy lunch and park dates! :)

This kiddie slide is the perfect size for Nohea! She loved trying to climb up the slide and sit on it.

She also loved the music that came out of these chimes. They're pretty cool!
Kinda liked the sand...but wasn't too sure.

We got this balloon at Old Navy like 3 weeks ago and it's still going strong! Nohea looooves it and cracks up when daddy makes it bounce everywhere!
Playing dress up! She fell off the bed face first the night before so has this little carpet burn on the tip of her nose. We just call her Rudolph!
 Dressing up in daddy's hat!
I attempted to go to the movies with Nohea a couple of weeks ago. They do $1 movies at 10am on Tuesdays and Wednesdays so I thought, what the heck? She watched for a little while, but mostly liked the stairs!
Waiting for the movie to begin.
Couldn't sit still for one more second! Haha!
 My cute girl!
We're working on using a spoon, can you tell? Oatmeal everywhere!

Nohea likes wandering the toy aisles now! Uh-oh!
This little girl is growing so fast! She is 17 months old already!! Can you believe it? I can't! I have always used the little onsie jammies, but we've moved up to these big girl jammies.

She looks like such a big girl in them!
We decided to take a girls trip to the creamery this week for ice cream and a little play time in the grass. This little desert girl was shocked when it started to rain!
I tried to drag her under the patio cover but she would yank her arm and yell at me. She kept looking at the sky saying "wa wa?" haha! She didn't know what to think of water falling from the sky! But she loved it!

We went down to Havre De Grace to visit the promenade. Nohea liked looking at the water and the geese.
It was such a hot and very humid day! We had some milkshakes to cool off.

At 17 months, Nohea is saying small phrases like Hi Daddy, Hi Mama, I love you, thank you, here you go and your welcome. She loves loves loves Minnie, her blankies (which she calls nigh nights) and crackers. She loves going to church and playing with other kids. She likes shouting "mama mama mama" all day long. We love watching her grow and learn knew things each day. She is such a special girl and we love her to pieces!
