Red Rock Canyon Take 1...

Wyatt and I tried to get off our lazy butts and start doing something on our days off besides shopping, eating and watching movies. So we decided that we wanted to try hiking on our days off. The weather is getting so nice in Vegas, still cool but not cold and just warm enough to really enjoy it. So Wyatt did some research on Red Rock Canyon. Apparently you can hike to this spot where you can actually see petroglyphs. I don't know what it is, but I really enjoy historical things. I like being outside and seeing things that have been out there for so long without being touched. It's amazing! Anyway, we finally get there (not that it's too far from us) but we didn't even think about having to pay for parking! So, needless to say we didn't have the five bucks to get in. So, we drove around a bit and enjoyed the scenery. We'll try again either this week or next week. Enjoy these pictures, but hopefully we'll get some better ones on the next round! **warning I like nature pictures, so I'll be posting a lot of scenery on this blog!**

Joys of Womanhood...

So I was asked to talk to the Young Women on Sunday about "The Joys of Womanhood as a young married woman". I'm not too sure how to answer that. Everything I come up with is the joy of marriage. Any suggestions?

Old...

A few months ago I was asked to teach the 16-18 year old Sunday School class at church. Needless to say I was a little nervous and overwhelmed! My main problems about it is 1. I hate to talk in front of people and 2. I still feel like I'm 18 so how are they supposed to listen to me? I don't know enough to teach teenagers! I know most of you don't think I'm old, but today it hit me that I truely am not 18 anymore! We were talking about baptism and I asked if anyone remembered the day they were baptized. They all did and some even remembered the exact date. Halloween 1999...wait wait wait... 1999??? That seems like just yesterday! When I told them my baptisim date, November 4, 1989 they all looked shocked! I said "oh man, I'm old!!" and they all laughed! Ugh...how sad! :) So, do I look old enough to teach the teens?

Fun Treat!

We had the great pleasure of having our two favorite doctors come for a visit last night. For those of you who know us and our situation, you know who they are! This is Ross and Ditza from New York. They are the two angels who have given us so much hope for a family someday soon! We were so excited to be able to take them through the Shark Reef and visit with them for a few hours. After all they've already done for us, they were kind enough to take us to dinner. We were able to spend a great evening chatting and getting to know eachother again. We had a waitress take our picture and she couldn't seem to understand that my camera is like an old fashioned camera where you have to look through the lens instead of like a regular digital camera where you can look at the little window. I kept telling her that she has to hold the camera to her eye and look through the lens and she'd say okay, but she'd hold out the camera in front of her face and try to squint to look through the small lens. It was so funny!! Anyway, I want to publicly thank Ross and Ditza for all their hard work and efforts in everything they do!! And thank you for everything you've given to me and my family!

Show me some love!

So I'm new to the whole blogging scene so be nice to me!! My life is by no means interesting, but I'll try to spice it up a bit. We'll see how it goes! Right now Wyatt and I have been married for just over 5 years!! It's crazy how time flies! As of yet, we have no children but that is something that within the past few months we've been trying to change. So everyone wish us luck as we try to start our family!
