Birthdays

Well, I am now 1/3 of a century LOL - time is going way too fast these days.. I really don't have an issue about my age as it really is just another year and I don't feel any older really.... However when I stop and think that I now have a 4yo I start to go Oh wow, where has the time gone... My baby girl is 2yo in 2 months time! I feel like each day is blurring into the next.
Birthday on Friday for myself was not a bad one, quiet day and pretty much the same as any other, but we had friends over for dinner and it turned into a good night, just sitting around chatting mostly.
Saturday and Sunday were spent in the garden cleaning up for when the owners came on Monday and then on Monday we got up and gave Brad his presents, which was fun, he so desperately wanted a guitar, but we were not quite ready to spend so much on one in case he was a bit rough with it, and our friend who is a guitar teacher has said he is a little too young still to have proper lessons, but by his suggestion we got Brad a Ukuele, which he is absolutely rapped with.

We had a party at kinder for him today which was rather special too. Brad helped me ice some cupcakes to take and the kids all sang a gorgeous little song about the candles on the cake and being 4 and then happy birthday as well and it was just fantastic.

From there we met friends at the park for another little celebration. This is the last one for him for this year though!! LOL

On the house front, we don't have to move, which part of me is saying yay and another part is a bit disappointed because I think I really want to move to a new place. The owner has said that they won't bother doing anything with the cracks as the house has been this way for years, but in the 2 1/2 years we have been here I have noticed it is a lot worse and not getting any better, but I don't believe we are in any danger so not too stressed about it. It is her house after all and if this is what she chooses then so be it. On the good front we are finally getting the shower fixed :D
Gareth and I have been discussing it all and are contemplating moving when our lease expires anyway. This house was supposed to be a 3 bedroom, but it's really a 2 bedroom and 2 living room place more so. I really would like the kids to be able to have their own rooms and have some space for our scrapping/gaming as well. I think when the time comes around we might check out what is available and in our price range and make a decision from there. The downside is that it's right in the middle of December :( - But if we don't move this year then it will definitely be next year. Still hoping to try and save a deposit for our own place, we will get there eventually I know. :)

Dentist - Mothers Day and Things

Well, last week was a trip to the dentist for myself and Brad.... I was quite stressed at how Brad was going to go with his first ever filling. But I must say I am just so proud at how brave he was. He did scream a bit at the needle, and was upset that his lip went to sleep. But he let the dentist drill and fill without too many problems, there was a little bribery happening, but still for a 4 yo I think he did really well. The dentist informed us that Brad has 6 of his adult teeth missing :( and that the decision will be made later as to whether he has braces to bring them closer together or whether they put spacers in to keep them apart and then put in false teeth via bridges. But that won't be until his adult teeth start to appear.
I then had my turn in the chair.. and after stressing about Brad and not getting lunch before we went, I started to get extremely light headed when I was given the needle, I was informed by the dentist that I was experiencing a fainting spell and that if he sat me up then I would pass out (great!!) he then went off to hunt for some sugar and his funny quip about a ploy to get more fillings out of me LOL.
But after I began to feel normal again all went well, but I am back there again this Wednesday for and hour appointment (EWWW)!
Mother's Day for me began on Friday at Brad's kinder. It was a fabulous day with the mum's joining in snack time and getting lovely scones with jam and cream to go with our coffee. We then went outside while they played and came back in to sit on the mat for story time...... The book was called 'The Kinder Hat' things started to fall into place as the story went on as Brad had been telling me all about a hat he had made for me :)
So yes at the end of the story we were all presented with a lovely kinder hat (decorated ice cream container) that our little ones had made :) along with a gorgeous decorated wooden box that had a picture of Brad and myself inside. On our way out we all had a turn at having our picture taken with our hats on :) It was fun!!
Saturday we were at a friends place for their son's birthday and then a night of gaming, which was rather fun I must say.
Sunday started magnificently (despite me having lost my voice)with me getting to lie in and read for awhile. Then in came Sian and Brad to present me with the pressies they had made for me at creche. a lovely decorated magnet from Sian and a decorated plaque from Brad along with some home made cards :) - then out to a lovely cooked breakfast by Gareth, this alone had made my day but then to add to it I was given my new cordless phones and Breville juicer! I was truly spoiled in every way.
After lunch however came the dreaded task of having to tidy and clean up so that I could steam clean the carpets ready for when our Real Estate Agent comes around on Tuesday :( - She is coming with a tradie to check out the cracks so they can report back to the owner and decide what to do. I am guessing though as it has been nearly 12 months since our last inspection that she will do one while she is here. (I Hate inspections!!) The house is clean and tidy, so not many worries there, however our gardens have been a little neglected these last few weeks, and with me not being well and the wet weekend it still didn't get done so I am expecting a lecture on that too. The first ever inspection we had we got told off about the gardens and since then it has been kept up to scratch. Until now!
Oh well, we will see what happens I guess.

And that's about my week in a nutshell! LOL

LC's Cybercrop

Well, what a weekend :)
I got the 3 challenges done at the cybercrop over at LC's this weekend.
The first one was easy, simple but effective - the 2nd I really don't like my LO at all(love the photo just not the scrapping) and the 3rd challenge was unreal. Bit by bit... we were given 1 step a time to do and I really like how my LO turned out. It was also great to see everyone's interpretation of the challenges.
Saturday morning we were up early and off to the working bee at the kinder, then onto swimming. I went in with Sian this week as it has suddenly dawned on me that it is only a matter of weeks before she is going in by herself with the instructor and as much as I don't like going in the pool, that I had better now before it's too late. I know we can still take her swimming on other days, but it's just not the same. I wish I was able to wear contact lenses, then I wouldn't mind going in half as much as I do now. Oh well.
Today it was off to the gym and I must say I like my new program alot more than the last one.... which reminds me - I didn't have that weigh in an measure, it's at the end of the 2nd side of my card not the first, but thats ok as it gives me another 6 weeks to lose some more and hopefully have a bigger impact.

not much to update

Went to the gym on Saturday and boy I feel sore, first time I have 'really' felt sore since starting. I also had a reiki session after and was warned it would bring some issues I was worrying about to the surface. It certainly stirred up the emotions and I am trying to deal with the 'issues' but still have a way to go until I feel confident enough to deal with them better.
I have my weigh in on Thursday this week so that will be interesting as according to the scales at the gym, I have gained weight :( - I know muscle is heavier than fat, but I still thought my weight would have gone down some. Oh well time will tell.

I joined in the Cyber crop over at The Craft Attic this weekend, and although I only got the one challenge done, I still had a ball and I did finish an altered journal for a swap and a birthday card for my brother in law. It sounds funny saying my brother in law LOL - I have yet to meet him. He is in the UK with his wife and his 2 girls (Where DH comes from also) I normally say 'my hubby's brother' But anyway .....
I really am quite happy with the way the challenge came together. It is a Becky Fleck Sketch. I seem to work better when I am using or getting inspiration from a sketch lol.
Oh well, thats me up to date (not very exciting but thats life!!) and I am off to bed
