Yesterday started out as an ok sort of day... had the glass guy coming in the afternoon to repair our window and so I had planned to do some cleaning and general house stuff. Well that was all about to change in a hurry when I finished putting on a load of washing and thought hmmm kids are quiet... sure enough they were up to mischief :( They had gotten into my bedroom for the 2nd time (after already getting into trouble earlier for being in there!!) I once again told them off and sent them out of the room, that is when I realised my pill packet had been opened and was lying on the floor, my heart leapt into my mouth when I realised there were a heap of tablets missing!! Racing out to ask Brad wether he had eaten them he said... No I just got them out.... Sian did though... Far out!! I rang the doctor who talked to me for 5 minutes and explained the side effects and that she would be ok, nothing too extreme apart from some nausea and diarrhea and possibly vomiting, They won't need to pump her stomach but because she is only 2 take her to the hospital so they can monitor her for awhile. So after a panicked call to Gareth off we went to the hospital. Well after seeing the nurse and then sitting to wait I knew Sian had filled her nappy, so I went off to change her to find out the Doc had certainly been right about the diarrhea *ewwwwwwwwwww* sorry - We got her a gown to put on as everything else was covered. About an hour later the doc from paediatrics came in to tell us we could go home and the same thing that my doctor had told me. It was a huge relief, but a very scary day. We made a trip to the hardware store and now have a LOCK on the bedroom door, so if they get in again now I will start calling them houdini!! I am just thankful that all our medicinal stuff (apart from my pill :( ) is up very high. So that was my dramatic Wednesday, I am just glad today was a better one.
Please join me in sending lots of positive vibes and good thoughts toRachie's DD who had a bit of a heart scare yesterday :( Hope they get to the bottom of it really soon.
and a big *Get Well Soon* to Kerryn who has been really sick for the last week. Take Care and talk to you soon. Been really strange not talking to you this week :(
The Craft Attic have a Cyber Crop on this weekend, so I hope to get some scrapping done. My boys (DH & DS) are off to watch Melbourne Victory (soccer) play on Sunday evening. DH is so excited as this will be the first game he has been to here in Aus and the very first one he gets to take his son to. Very proud moment for him :-D
I hope everyone has a good weekend!!

Sleepover
Brad and Sian had their friends sleep over last night :) it all went fairly well, until Brad went into burnout mode and then it got a little bit stressful, but not for long as it was then we decides bed time was on the cards. They had us out of bed at 6am this morning *eek* but never mind, that the joys... only problem with it though is we had 4 tired and slightly moody kids (and a couple adults LOL) The biggest drama of the morning is when Brad decided for the 2nd time in a week that he was going to bite David... I really lost my temper and made him go to bed (where he stayed for 20 mins or so) The thing I don't understand is Brad has only ever really bitten once in 4 years and that was Gareth... so why he has decided biting David is a form of communication I don't know, but I am certainly not happy about it :(

Happy Birthday Mum!!
Happy Birthday to my mum! It was yesterday, but I am only blogging today so had to mention it anyway!!!
Gareth and I went to the movies last night and really enjoyed the time out, mind you the movie (Lady in the Water) wasn't fantastic. I was expecting it to be alot different to what it was. At one point I jumped outta my chair almost. I really don't know why as I saw it coming LOL. Not as scary as what I thought but then it is rated pg after all, which I don't think is quite right either, but oh well just my opinion. Big thanks to my dear friend Kerryn for watching the kids :-D
Another friend of mine is waiting on news of her sister today. She has been on the donor list for 2 years and early hours of this morning was told they had found her a kidney. She went into surgery around 1030 and were expecting her to come out around 530. So far no news, but I have them in my thoughts, in hope that all goes really well and the kidney doesn't reject.
The last week has been fantastic weather wise and has been great for the kids being able to play outside and I feel a bit more sane these days too. Yesterday was fantastic for washing too, I got 4 loads out and dried in about 5 hours :-D
Had CC over at
LC'S
last weekend and I got 2 challenges done and a couple tags from the make and take with Vicki
Hope you all are having a wonderful week!

I watched the Steve Irwin memorial today and was in tears the whole way through. When True Blue was sung I was really bad ... these words got me
Hey True Blue, don't say you've gone
Say you've knocked off for a smoko
And you'll be back later on
Hey True Blue, Hey True Blue
RIP Steve

Just thought I would share a LO and some photos from swimming today.
Sian was hilarious, she had decide she wanted to have a slide today into the water. There was no stopping her, she even swam over to it LOL.
When it finally came time for the slide she pushed right on in to the front!! She now has 2 weeks off during school holidays, goodness knows how excited she will be by the time we get back there :D

5 years on and still very fresh in my mind.
I still remember exactly where I was and exactly what I was doing when the news came through. We thought it was a joke, but then the reality hit that the guy who told us was not joking.
I think it was the day it brought the world to a standstill for at least a moment.
My thoughts today are with all that lost their lives, all the victims and their families and to all the heros that worked tirelessly.
May there never be another day like this

and again!
List 5 weird things about yourself or your pets. Tag 5 friends and list them. Then, those people need to write on their blogs about 5 weird things, and state the rules, and tag 5 more people. Dont forget to let the people you tag know by posting a comment on their blog!
Firstly to tag 5 others: Sharryn, Kylie, Kerryn, Crissy and Rachie.
Ok, here goes with my 5 .....
1. I like bananas and Salt & Vinegar chips (together)
2. I always make sure my dishes are packed away in a certain way and if someone else does it different I change it (might be more pedantic than weird!!)
3. I can't wiggle my ears, or curl my tongue or touch my nose with my tongue - so maybe I am weird as I don't have a weird 'thing' I can do
4. I can't stand harmless large spiders and freak out, but the small (probably more poisionous ones I can catch without too much stress
5. I think I enjoy some of the kids programs more than they do LOL
This was a hard one... I am sure I have loads of 'weird' things, but couldn't think of many when I need to haha :)

I am really loving my new camera :) took some photos at the park of the kids playing in the leaves and had a play with the shutter speed and really was happy with the photos I got! Here are just 2 that I have cropped down to remove my friends daughter from them so I could put them on my blog
