bothering me

The photographed LO for CIS comp has been bugging me as it really doesn't do anything for that LO and it looks so much nicer than that photo.

Here is a scanned version, still not great but alot better than the other

also an altered clock that I have done for a mini challenge for the same competition

and a LO for a challenge over at The Craft Attic

and another LO for a challenge over at

Forever Always

AND this one for this month's 1,2,3 Challenge and the 2nd for the 1,2,3 challenge CC

last but by no means least... one for the BIG challenge over at Bon's Scraps

I didn't realise it has been that long since I updated *shock*

Sian had a hearing test today and her left ear is still blocked, so it is highly likely now that the grommet will go in sometime in the next month.
I started my volunteer work at a nursing home day centre and loved it. Sweet old lady giving me a kiss first thing in the morning and another patting me on the bottom LOL I really think I will enjoy this work though and may look into it as a return to work in a few years (with proper training of course!!)

Hope you are all well

Round 2

Here is my round 2 entry for the Crafting in Style Dare to be a VERY stylish DT Member Comp. It is 'Focus on Felt' and I chose to make roses with felt from a paper piecing pattern that I found. Fingers crossed I make it to Round 3, but I am not overly confident, 10 people won't make it through and with all the fantastic talent in the comp I feel I might be one of those 10. But I am really glad for the challenges I have taken part in so far as it has pushed me out of my comfort zone... I never would have used felt if not for this comp!
Here is my Fairy Princess

Looks so much nicer IRL.... I wish I could photograph my LO's better
:(

I have this one to share from a Cybercrop at Scrap Yourself Silly

I am sick of this hot weather :( Hate it with a passion! I am really struggling to get motivation to do anything let alone Scrap, and there is still so many things I want to catch up on.

I did get to that SANDS meeting and I am so glad, the girls were fantastic and it really helped. I plan on going to a couple more.

We signed Brad up for Goal kick (like Auskick, but soccer rather than AFL) he is so excited!! (he asked me wether he could join a soccer team BTW not my idea LOL )

I have put my name down to do some volunteer work at a local aged care day centre. I will be doing about 4 hours on Monday's and I start this Monday coming, I am looking forward to it too!

what's been happening ..... not alot actually LOL
I have done these LO's for the Crafting in Style Cybercrop

and this tag for a mini challenge in the Dare to be a DT member comp.

I am thinking really hard about how I would use felt on a LO if I make it through to round 2

I am going to join in on the 'Take on the Lake' fundraiser walk/run on March 4th

Mel M has an online raffle running with proceeds going to the Royal Children's Hospital... great cause and her brother is also doing a Run in honour of Rani (Mel's daughter who sadly passed away last year.)
Very sad story, and has made me rethink alot of things including organ donation.
The run is 15.2km and is officially Run for the Kids
If you would like to make a donation or join in the raffle the details are here

We are heading over to SA at the start of March... my little brother is getting married!! not alot of notice given, but never mind :) It will be great all the same.
Take Care

1st Feb!! already!!

Brad started kinder this week and they are easing in over the next few weeks, questions *far out* I thought he asked alot last year... I got to the point where I had to ask him to sit in the lounge and not talk to me for 5 minutes while I had a breather (btw it didn't work) so all morning (kinder was afternoon) all the way to Sian's swimming lesson, all during her lesson, all the way to kinder and right up to when he sat on the mat. I was feeling rather worn out by then! I know he is curious and it's his way of learning but *arrrgggghhh* hehe

got an internet bill this morning **shock** $300 - my DH (who I am a little >:o at right now) went 2gb over our limit and that cost us over $300!!! But I am really unimpressed at Telstra at the moment any way.... an in another 'ironic' type situation last night we signed up with optus for cable BB and phone so were leaving Telstra anyway (in the planning for quite some time)

This week I finally decided time to start moving forward. I contacted the Lilydale cemetary and have the information on having Dylan's ashes put in the children's garden there. I also have the meeting date for SANDS and am going to try and not make excuses and just go, even if it is just 1 meeting. Again it feels a little conincidental, that the day after I took these steps, and was thinking yet again about doing a LO about Dylan, there was a ponder this question about scrap therapy (scrapping things that have happened or are not so great in our lives) and also this month's topic of 'meaningful songs' over at OSS I think that this might just be the push I need and the next step in my journey.

have been working on a tile swap this week, still have 2 to do then I will share :) next in line is a photo to scrap for a photo swap over at STTM and then a LO using decorative borders for my entry in to round 1 of the Dare to be a VERY stylish DT Member Comp over at
Crafting in Style if I manage to get through that then there is loads of challenges that I want to have a go at too LOL

Ciao for Now
