This week was a quiet one for us and I think that was helped by the fact we had a public holiday on Monday!! :-D
It was grandparents/or special person day at Brad's kinder on Thursday. Our friend Jenni and her little ones came along as special people for Brad as Mum and Dad were not able to make it ;) (a little far to come really) But we did get photos of them at kinder with Brad when they were here in May :-D He had a ball right up until he hurt his nose :( poor little guy I heard hime screaming and thought here he comes I will give him a cuddle and he will be on his way. Nope! He had tripped over (I think) but whacked his nose onto a wooden plank and he had blood everywhere. I thought I stayed pretty calm. (I felt like I was freaking out on the inside though) We stopped the bleeding after about 10 minutes and he had calmed down by then. It's not broken but a little bruised and sore. No black eyes either which is a relief. Didn't help though that the next day while lying down watching telly, Sian decided to give him another good old whack in the nose :( Didn't bleed this time and he settled after about 2 minutes.
Gareth came home mighty annoyed with work the other night. I don't blame him as they once again sprung a migration on him at the last minute and he had to work from home that night to make sure it was ready for the next day. oh well, at least it didn't take him too long I guess. He is working the next 2 Saturdays as well, so I am glad I am having a break tomorrow :-D
Gareth and Brad have met some friends at soccer. So coincidental that he comes from the same area as Gareth grew up in the UK. We haven't met his wife and other son yet, but I am sure we will down the track. They (Peter and Sam) came over today and pretty well spent the whole day here, but the guys loved it! He has offered to take Brad to soccer for us for the next 2 weeks so thats fantastic :-D It means Gareth can take the car to work instead of catching the train at 630am

We went to our friends house last night for dinner to celebrate Peter's birthday (different Peter to the one above :-D )and had mongolian take away. It was delicious and I definately think I will go there again. (the chef there is Alex from the Biggest Loser, nice guy really, quite funny that he always seems to manage to slip in some reference to TBL when chatting though :-D
Kerryn and I are off to an all day crop at Scrappy Hollow tomorrow and catching up with some girls we went on retreat with as well. It should be a great day. I am hoping to finish off my monthly challenges from OSS .... Speaking of OSS I am so excited! I paid my deposit for the retreat on Thursday night. It now feels so much more real and I can't wait!! Next step is to book my flights and then pay the balance
woohoo!!
Thats about it from me until next time :-D Take Care

my how the weeks are flying!!! The last week has been filled with appointments.
On Tuesday we had Sian's dentist appointment and at that point in time she was missing 2 teeth. She is now just missing the one (I can't believe how late that eye tooth has come through!!!) but it is highly likely she is missing the same adult teeth as Brad is :( Her teeth are looking good, we have to get her to brush 3 times a day as her molars have deep crevices and for protection and to avoid fillings we have been told to be overly cautious.
Wednesday came her hearing test and we have been told she has a significant hearing loss in her left ear, however the good news is that they expect full hearing to return after she has the tube put in her ear (again, the first one got blocked up with the muck from in her ear just days after the op :-(
Thursday was back to see the ENT speciallist with the results and have been told that he would prefer she didn't have another general anaesthetic, but he felt it very important that she has the tube redone sooner rather than later, so we are now on the list to go back in and it could be short notice this time. If this one doesn't work then I think he is going to wait until she is 5. Apparently the hospital was supposed to give us a follow up appointment last time 24 -48 hours after the op to have the tube checked on. But no one told us that or made an appointment. I am actually hoping that this time she has the op on a tuesday or wednesday again so that we can just go and see the ENT speciallist at Taralye instead of going back to the hospital. He is a fantastic doctor. Shame we don't have the private health cover so that he could do the op for us :( never mind

We have brought in a new routine for the kids and it seems to be working well so far. I have changed their eating time to 5pm and then we all sit down together from about 645 - 730 to watch some tv and then it is bedtime and they are both going to bed without arguments and they are sleeping really really well. Most days their behaviour has been fantastic too. I am hoping this is going to be an ongoing success.

I spent a few hours out in the garden today and I am feeling it already. *LOL* But it does look better, there is a heap still to do yet though. I think I will be back out there tomorrow provided the weather stays ok.

These are the Layouts I did for Bon's CC (growing up is a scraplift of a Layout of Sara's (Sbee)

So what have I been up to ....... not alot really.
Brad started soccer and has made a little mate, funny thing is his Dad grew up in the same area as Gareth!! They have been in Australia longer than Gareth though.
Sian's grommets are blocked up and have been since a couple days after the op :( she has to go for a hearing test and a follow up appointment next week to discuss wether it needs to be redone.
Gareth has decided that he would like to maybe buy a cheap second hand car to travel to work and back in instead of having to leave at 715am every morning and sit on the crowded train for and hour and a half. (he is giving up a new computer for this though *shock* )
I have put my name down to go to the OSS retreat in October WOOOHOOO I can't wait. It's going to be fantastic to meet all the girls finally!!
I am going to be an Auntie again in November :-) thinking blue thoughts for my brother as they have 2 girls and I know they would love a boy.

Blumar's is holding a weekend workshop (similar to a cyber crop *wink* ) on June 15th - 17th why not pop in for a look :-D

not alot else to share at the moment I don't think, so I will share LO's that I have done (not alot unfortunately it was not a real productive month )
