Family Sunday

We decided a few weeks ago to make Sunday's a family do something together day (Outside of the house)

This Sunday we decided to go for a walk down along the Yarra and past the Collingwood Children's Farm. We found out they have farmers markets down there and think we will make the effort to take the kids to the farm and the market all at the same time next time around :0)

It was chilly out, but still was really nice to just go for a family walk. I am really loving taking nature photos. I will put a camera on my wish list for Christmas this year I think. I am looking at a Fuiji again. But the 8000 which is a 8mp and has 18x zoom. I love zooming HAHA! But there is still a small draw towards an SLR ... not sure though as I don't think I want to cart around different lenses.

After the walk we went to IKEA .. my first time ever *shock* and OMGoodness, I was like a kid in a toy store. All those storage ideas and boxes, not to mention the furniture. Loved it!! We found an awesome bookshelf that we are going to buy in parts. It makes one big unit, but can be broken up into smaller units and I figure it makes it a heck of alot more affordable this way, then at the end you can still have the whole thing anyway :0)

On the way home I caught the sunset out the back of the car. Stunning with all the colours. The sunset has been vibrant like this for over a week now and everytime I see it I think hmm must get a photo of that and tonight I did :0)

Hmmm ing and Haaaa ing about applying for a job that I have seen advertised this week. I am still really not sure. It has lots of pros and a few cons. It is not far from home, it's 2 days a week and in school hours. It is on the days that Sian is at kinder. But then I would need to look into child care for her between 1115 until just after 3. The pay rate sounds pretty good and it is cutomer service which is mainly what I have done. But, I have taken on a fair bit this year with committees etc. (not complaining though as I am enjoying it) and I don't know if we will be better or worse off in regards to paying for childcare etc.

Oh well, I might sleep on it ;)

We Made it

For ages (3 years or more!) we have been saying, we should go to St Kilda and have a look around, visit Luna Park etc.

Well today we made it finally. Brad was funny, he was a little scared of going into Luna Park, we thought it may have to do with walking through the clown mouth, but he informed us tonight that it was because he thought the Pirate Ship ride was going to hit us!! Poor kid, once we were in there he was fine. We didn't go on any rides, just looked around, but Brad's favourite thing was the Dodgem cars (no surprised there! typical boy!) Then we went down to the beach and made sandcastles before going for a walk along the waterfront and back to the car. Now kids being kids and beaches having water, you know what happened *rolleyes* we said, no swimming it's too cold. That was fine, but their shoes and pants got wet up to the knees and then all sandy when they came back to make more sandcastles. But hey you're only a kid once and we don't get to the beach often. It was bliss watching the kids enjoy themselves so much. :0)

We finished of with a yummy ice cream each before coming home and getting organised for school tomorrow. Brad is looking forward to getting back, although apparently it's sometimes boring because he has to do SO MUCH work!!! Oh that was funny when he came out with that.
Both kids crashed tonight, I think all the sea air did them good. Me too for that matter.
Moi if you read this - sorry I didn't share my Layout ;0) but if you want to pop over to the One Stop Scrapping gallery you will find it there ;0)

We took some photos before we headed out this morning for fun ... A more serious one and then a 'fun' one ;)

Well thats me for tonight - Take Care and have a fantastic week :0)

Weather

It was a tad windy here in Melbourne on Wednesday!! The left over of Cyclone Pancho I believe. We lost part of the fence (granted it was on it's way already) and the tree across the road is a little worse for wear. We lost power for about an hour here. But other parts of Melbourne have had no power for over 2 days :0( Our friends have had no phone or internet since Wednesday either. But it has come back on for them tonight :0)

I have been having some really weird dreams lately. To the point I asked a friend of mine who does dream analysis to analyse one of them for me. I must say what she has told me makes sense and I feel a whole lot better about it all now that I can see a little more clearly :) Basically it is time to let go of my past and start a new phase of my life which is a new more confident and happy me :0)

I have been scrapping, but nowhere near enough :0( But the LO I did tonight is not really like my normal style and I am not sure how much I like it. But I won't change it because I did like it when I was doing it (does that really make any sense *roll eyes* )

Soccer starts again tomorrow and I have one little man who is VERY excited about that :0) I am playing a bit more of an active role this year as I am on the committee for the junior soccer club and as I am the only one with a goalkick (ssg) child I am going to manage the uniform and committee stuff on a Saturday morning. It's nothing that major though really. Just sounds important LOL

The school holidays are almost over ... well officially I think they are over. School starts again on Monday and I know both kids are looking forward to getting back to it. I just don't do enough with them at home and they get bored. I need to make more of an effort in that regard!

My friend finally got her new car and she is rapped... she has a nephew on the way and a lovely new car and lets hope everything continues on the up now :0)
Speaking of new cars.... My mum and dad got themselves a lovely new Toyota Camry after Easter too :0) and one of my other friends dropped in for a visit yesterday and she also has a new car... it must be the season for it!! Although Kerryn's new one wasn't by choice :0(

I still haven't put the photos from my laptop to my pc yet. so still none to share of the kids. I will get there though eventually!!

well I should be getting to bed ... oh and yay!!! Daylight Savings ends this weekend here in Victoria!!!!! I used to love it and I am sure once the kids are older I will love it again, but getting them to bed is such a pain when it's light outside :0(

Night :0)
