Santa 2009

This year for Christmas 2009 we had to call Santa on tuesday Dec. 22nd to see if he could make a special trip to our house on the morning of the 23rd because David had to go back to work on the 23rd:( Santa was a super sport and worked that right into his busy schedule for my kiddos:) You've got to LOVE Santa Clause!!!!!!! We went to eat at Bonzai, we all LOVE it!!!!! Santa's cookies were already made so we came home and got all ready for bed. Set out Santa's cookies and milk and wrote our letter and then read The Night Before Christmas and then off to bed. The kids were sooo very excited and it didnt bother them one single bit that Santa came a couple of days early! It bothered me more than them:) I'm just traditional and like to have Santa on Dec. 25th but if the kids dont care then neither do I! My mom came over all dressed up to see what Santa brought:) Isnt she cute!

Santa left the Mario Cart for our Wii! David, Sydnee and Hunter are enjoying it ALOT!

David and I bought Hunter a new chocolate colored felt cowboy hat. He is VERY proud!!!!!!

David and I also got him some new boots. He needed them BAD!!! The ones he has been wearing, the whole sole was coming off:)
Santa brought Hunter a new REAL guitar:) He has had a play one in the past and the strings got broken quickly and it didnt sound good and so he has wanted a real one for a long time. Santa also left him 4 lessons at Aardvark music:)

Showing off his BONEHEAD shirt:)
Sydnee was in AWW of all her gifts!
I bought her a Moxie girl:)
She also got a new Victoria. The baby in the car seat is a baby that she got from my mom several years ago and it was her all time FAVORITE baby. Victoria went everywhere with Sydnee. I cant tell you how many pictures I have of Sydnee with Victoria. Last May Sydnee lost her. We think she left her in the grocery basket at HEB:( She was devastated!!!!! So Santa brought her a NEW one! She was soooooooooooooo excited. And he left her a car seat for her. Sydnee always brings a baby anywhere and everywhere we go and she always buckles her up, so now she has her very own car seat.

We had such a wonderful Christmas even if it wasnt on the actual Christmas Day! We wouldnt have had it any other way!!!!!!!!!!

Fiddlesticks Farm

This past weekend the kids and I went to see Aunt "B"! She took us to a really fun place called Fiddlesticks Farm. It was alot of fun. Hunter shot corn on the cob from a cannon and also pumpkins from cannons! Of course he LOVED it! Sydnee rode a train, jumped and slid on a slide. We all went on a hayride and went through corn mazes:) We had a blast and to top it all off, David got to come visit for a couple of hours. Here are a few pictures from our day!

Pumpkin Patch 2009

The kids and I went to the pumpkin patch this year earlier than we usually do:) So there were still LOTS of pumpkins:) It was cold and Sydnee doesnt have a warm jacket yet so she was freezing. That didnt stop her from finding her perfect pumpkin!

The kids went on a hayride too. Sydnee was frozen:(
I remembered that in the car I had her rain jacket and gloves so I ran to get that and now look how cute she looks:)

Flag Football 2009

This year Hunter wanted NOTHING to do with tackle football so we opted for flag football with Upward. Daddy was not as excited as Hunter and I were to get started:) We kind of started off rough because our very 1st practice we didnt have a coach which was not a good sign but I thought oh well. Week 2 practice we got there and it still looked like we had no coach but we did finally. A college intern with Pioneer Drive was supposed to do it and he had just been asked to do it that very day so he got there to practice and wasnt sure of anything at all. He read the instruction manual most of the time so the dads stepped up and took charge to help him. Things were and still are a little scattered but oh well Hunte is having fun and I have to keep telling myself that that is all that matters:) OH the other big thing that discouraged David and I was that Hunter was a complete HEAD taller than almost every other boy on his team:) Well again Hunter is enjoying being the quarterback and is really haveing fun so if he's having fun then so am I :):)

Notice how tall Hunter is compared to the others:)
He loves saying "Down, Set, Hut:)

Dr. Munton's report on my back

Today, Oct. 2nd, I went to see Dr. Munton for my back pain. Two weeks ago I had an MRI of my back and Dr. Crumbliss ordered it and then I met with him to go over the results and I left there very discouraged and sad:( He really thought I needed surgery and I was not happy about that BUT I had this appointment with Munton already scheduled so I kept it. I'm glad I did! My lower back is not in good shape because when I was 13 years old, YES, thats right, 13 years old, I had back surgery in Plano, TX at the Texas Back Institute. It was absolutely necessary and it was shocking then and is still shocking to this day that someone did back surgery on a 13 year old but like I said it was necessary! Well due to that surgery I have ALOT of scar tissue around where the surgery was, L5. Now that scar tissue is pressing on nerves which is what is causing my pain. I think also at that same level that disc may be herniated a little but there is so much scar tissue that they cant tell for sure. So what to do? On Wednesday Dr. Munton will do an injection where he will go in and inject some medicine right directly at level 5 in my back and hopefully that will decrease any swelling and inflammation around that nerve and in turn ease my pain or hopefully make my pain go away! He sees NO reason for surgery because when you have surgery that makes scar tissue which is my problem anyway so if I had another surgery that would only make for more scar tissue. Hope that makes sense. Even though I trust Dr. Munton, I still would like another opinion so I will see Dr. Trammel soon as well. It will depend on how well the injection works as to if that is all I will need or if we will have to do something else called spinal cord stimulation therapy (SCS). I wont go into all that just yet:)

I also have had, what I called, hip pain for a while now too. Dr. Munton clarified up today that it is NOT hip pain it is I T Band pain! I have known that my I T band is tight due to running and cycling for a while and I have done stretches and stuff for a while with NO relief and it has gotten worse so I thought something else must be going on BUT the doc. said my I T Band is probably worse because of my back and nerve problems so I will do therapy for my I T Band and hopefully it will all work its way out and I will start feeling better soon!

Thats it in a nutshell:)

9/9/09 My 35th Birthday

Today I celebrated my 35th birthday! It was 9/9/09! My day started off super. Today the leaders in BSF had our training day all day. From 9-2 I was surrounded by great godly women and had great fellowship! After BSF, I picked up Sydnee and we came home while David went to pick up Hunter. Sydnee was not feeling well but we werent sure what was going on with her and she wanted to go to gymnasics so we continued with our evening. David and the kids gave me my birthday present. check out my new RED top boots!!!!!!!! Are they cool, or what? David got the wrong size so we all loaded up and went to Cavenders to exchange them and while we were there I found this shirt:) We then were going to Johnny Carinos with my mom and nephew, Bryce for an early dinner before gymnasics. My dad could not meet us because he was still working:( When we got there to eat, Sydnee began to really feel bad. She was just complaining of her stomach but was having no gas or diarrhea or fever so we are not sure but she was MISERABLE! She could not get any relief from the pain. Finally she fell asleep in Davids lap. So we ate and then skipped gymnastics and came home. She immediately put on her gown and asked me is she could go to bed!!!!!!!! I just hate it that Sydnee got sick but other than that I had a wonderful day and am truly BLESSED!

Mama and Hunter at Johnny Carinos before supper. Sydnee was not in the mood for a picture

This is Sydnee from this morning before school:) This is really a "fake" smile:) The next picture shows how she really felt about taking this picture:)

NOT wanting to take a picture!
