Day 7 of spring break 2009
Friday of spring break we took most of the day to recover from our Great Wolfe Lodge trip and plus we couldnt do much because of all the rain:) YEAH! But that evening we decided to take the kids to Prime Time to do some bowling and playing. We had alot of fun!

Day 4-6 of spring break 2009
On tuesday of spring break the kids and I headed to Grapevine, TX for the Great Wolf Lodge. We were so very excited! David was meeting us there tuesday night which also was very very exciting! We stayed for 2 nights and had a blast! I have posted ALOT of pictures and will explain our trip as you look through the pics.

Look at what great helpers I have. My arms were full of stuff as well and trying to take pictures:)
This is the kids on their bunk beds in our room at the hotel. Amazing! This place is absolutely for kids:) Of course I had to sleep with Syd in her bunk most of the time because she was fearful but oh well it was still a blast!

The hotel had an amazing fireplace and of course this is the kids in front of it before story time in the lobby:)
A really really cool thing the hotel offered was a scavenger hunt in a sense. Of course you had to buy a Magi wand and the game itself but it was worth it, I thought! This is Hunter listening to instructions from the master magi in the tree on where the next clue is:)

Day 3 of spring break 2009
Well today was day 3 of spring break and we headed to Mine by Design with a GREAT friend and her two kiddos. Hunter and Carson were in kindergarten together last year and are in the same class this year as well. We love the whole family and really enjoyed today with them as well. The kids and I have been to Mine by Design only one other time ALONG time ago and they ask to go ALOT. Carson and Currian have never been until today. They didnt have alot of time because they had plans for tonight but we stayed about an hour and a half. Hunter painted a treasure box, he is always wanting to find gold! HA And Sydnee painted a flower, Carson painted a snake, which he didnt get to finish, and Currian painted a flower piggy bank. I think the kids had alot of fun and Anjani and I found ourselves wanted to fix their projects so it was a learning experience for us as well. It was their projects, not ours. HA We had a great time though!
Day 2 of Spring Break
On Sunday, day 2 of spring break, we headed to Brownwood with my parents to eat at Underwoods Bar B Q. It was very good:) After that we wanted to drive to Granbury but it was too far so we decided to drive around the Brownwood lake and look at cabins. My parents would love to buy a place on a lake so they look often. My dad has a friend that has a house on the lake in Brownwood so we went to see it and walked down to their dock and I took a picture of the kids. Of course we did not get in the water but it was fun to look and it was the most beautiful day! We had a great day!
Day one of Spring Break 2009
Saturday marked our 1st day of Spring Break 2009. We woke up feeling bored and not having much to do but that quickly changed. Our used to be next door neighbors that now live in Iraan, TX came to visit some family and graciously carved out a couple of hours for me and the kids. We met them at the park and played. It was GREAT seeing them and the boys had a blast.
Next the kids and I took advantage of a FREE nights stay at the Fairfield Inn here in Abilene. I had won it at an auction back in November and it was going to expire this month so I thought OH how fun, the kids have been dying to swim and they LOVE to spend the night in hotels and it would be FREE, even better. So after the park we headed over to the hotel and were very excited to swim. Well our swimming experience was NOT so great. The hottub was not very hot so the worker said she would fill it up with Hot water and she almost over flowed it. Then the whole swimming area smelled like it had way tooooo much chlorine in it. Anytime anyone sat in the hottub they would start coughing. The chlorine was way tooo strong. Then a whole very large family came into swim with NO parent and took over the pool. UGH The kids did not seem to mind but I minded! Well in the meantime while all of this was going on Hunter was coughing NONSTOP! He never stopped. WE got out and went to dry off and walked over to CiCi's pizza for some supper and then went back to the hotel for more swimming. We were not going to get into the hottub because of the chlorine so we just swam in the big pool. BUT immediately when we started swimming Hunter started up coughing again. It was strange. He did NOT cough at all at supper but as soon as we got back into the swimming area he started up coughing again and NEVER stopped. It was awful. All of a sudden he leaned over out of the pool and threw up! He continued to cough and every time he coughed he threw up. It was awful! A man was in there with us and said he thought he might be allergic to the mold or something in there. I immediately left and as soon as we stepped out of that room he stopped coughing and NEVER coughed again! It was weird! I wanted to have such a fun time swimming but it just didnt happen. Oh well, we played some games and went to bed!
