Don't Worry BEE Happy ......

Hi Everyone!

(This is my 2nd post for today, so be sure to scroll down for the other one :)

When I came across this cute little bumble bee I couldn't wait to colour him up :) I've used this weeks Feeling Sketchy #42 sketch

I flipped the sketch to better suit my die cut.

I printed out the image onto X-Press It blending card and then coloured it in using my copics. I then die cut it out using Nestabilites Labels 10 and sponged the background with SU! Bashful Blue ink. The Basful Blue cardstock base has been embossed with SU! polka dot embossing folder. The stripes are some patterned paper from my stash that have been layered onto some So Saffron cardstock.

Here's a close up-

I'm also entering this into
Addicted to CAS #4 - Let's get embossed (the background)

Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and are having a Happy New Year too!

My first card for 2013 is one that I made for the new challenge blog - still addINKtive challenges which is co-created by the talented Bronwyn Eastley.

"It's Week 1 and we have a combined sketch and colour combo for your inspiration.  A different 'twist' to our challenges is that you can use both parts of the challenge or you can choose either our sketch or the colour combo to get you started.  It's entirely up to you!"

I decided to use both the sketch and colours to create this card-

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges-
Stampin' for the Weekend - anything goes
Dream Valley Challenges -  anything goes.

To all my readers in Tasmania and NSW - my thoughts and prayers are with you after the devastating fires that have already destroyed so many homes and land. Tomorrow is suppose to be even worse, with temperatures set to reach 43C (109.4F) in most of NSW. Please take care and stay safe!!

Slidin' by with The Play Date Cafe and Addicted to Stamps ......

Hi Everyone!

It is soooo hot here in Sydney today!!! What a welcome to the first day of summer! It's suppose to be over 40C (104F) Fahrenheit today and get in even hotter as summer progresses. A good day to stay in side with the air conditioner on and put up the Christmas tree :)

We had a birthday party to go to for one of hubby's baseball team mates so I decided to make him a card using the MFT - Baseball Boy stamp.

This weeks The Play Date Cafe 'Color Splash'  (that snow really looks at inviting LOL) colours matched perfectly to their baseball teams colours

I also used this weeks Addicted to Stamps sketch challenge

Here's a close up of the cute little baseball boy that I coloured in using my Copics

Merry Christmas Snowflake Tag....

Hi Everyone!

Just popping by quickly to share a Christmas tag that I made this morning.

For my gifts this year, I've decided on a theme of silver and snowflakes so this will co-ordinate perfectly!

Here's another angle-

To make this tag, I folded over a piece of Night of Navy cardstock and then ran it through my Big Shot using the Two Tags die so it made a little note card. I can then write a little message inside with my white gel pen. The silver snowflakes are a My Favourite Things die and I've layered over a white snowflake that had a bit of bling on it that I found in my stash.

I'm entering this tag into the following challenges-

Dynamic Duos #30 - Navy and Silver
JAI #145 - Sketch

Have a Magical Day!

Hi Everyone!

I just thought I'd drop in quickly to show you a card that I made for The Stamp Spot - use any stamp from a range stocked in store.

I discovered that my card stash is very sadly lacking in boys cards, so I thought I better rectify that :)

For this card I've used La La Lands - Magic Luka, the sentiment is from My Favourite Things - Fairy Girl and the stars in the background and on the MFT fishtail flag are from MFT - Just the Ticket. The tag is also from MFT - Traditional Tags. The image has been coloured in using Copics.

Here's another look from a different angle -

I'm also entering this in at Addicted to Stamps - Bingo Challenge #4 - I chose Dies, Free (colouring) and B'day.

I love reading your comments! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! :)

Kaisercraft Owl......

Hi Everyone!

Today's card is one I made for The Stamp Spot. This month's challenge is to use any stamp from a company that the The Stamp Spot carries - even if it isn't available! it's that easy!

I coloured the cute Kaisercraft Owl using my Copic markers onto some X-Press It cardstock. I then poppped her up on some dimensionals on top of a My Favorite Things - Branches with Leaves die cut. I then added a My Favorite Things sentiment to the bottom corner. Some rounded corners and faux stitching finished it all off.

There's still time to join in the fun of this month's challenge! And don't forget,  there's 2 stamps from the store up for grabs for the winner and 3 lucky people will be invited to have a Guest DT post in December as well!

I love reading your comments! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
