Famous People!

Last night we ended up with tickets to the Bee's game.  At first the boys didn't really want to go and we had to talk them into going.  When we got there they were having a special night to honor the old team the Salt Lake Trappers.  The actor Bill Murray was a partial owner of the Salt Lake Trappers so he was there to throw out the first pitch.  After he threw out the pitch Kage was able to go down and get his mitt signed by him.  I wish I would have gotten a picture of him with Bill Murray.
Kage is always trying to get autographs of people even if they are only semi famous.  When we told him how famous Bill Murray is (even though Kage had no idea who he is) it really made his night.

The rest of the night was fun.  We left after the sixth inning.  When we left they were up by three runs but when we got home we found out that they lost by five runs.

Tuesday was Pioneer Day.  Kelly had to work and we didn't have any plans for the holiday.  My mom called first thing in the morning and we decided to hurry and get ready and go see the Days of 47 parade downtown.  We got there in time to see more than half of the parade which was just right.

After the parade we went home and then for a ride up AF canyon in the jeep with mom and dad.  It was so pretty and green.

That night the boys did a few flowers and sparklers.

I know it has been nearly a year since I updated our blog and I don't know if anyone even still checks in on us but I decided to go for an update anyways.  This year has been crazy busy and I'm not even going to try and catch up.  So here goes our last little couple weeks.

The end of June Kelly went to South Carolina to work.  While he was gone the boys and I went and spent some time in Park City with my family over the Fourth of July.  On Tuesday the Third we met my family in Heber and rode the Heber Creeper.  It was fun, hot, relaxing ride.

On the Fourth we got up and went to breakfast in the park and then to main street for the Parade.  Here are the boys all dressed for Independence Day!

On the Fourth the only person missing in my entire family was Kelly.  Here is a picture of all of the grandkids.  (Until August and October when Ashley and Amber have their babies.)

The evening of the Fourth the fireworks had been canceled due to fire danger.  We wandered over to the resort where we got yummy treats and rode the alpine slide.

Thursday it poured rain all day.  We spent the day shopping then headed to the Oakley Rodeo that night.  Here are the boys before the Rodeo started.

After the Rodeo because it had rained all day we finally got to see some fireworks.

The rest of the week we enjoyed playing games, swimming, and just hanging out.

Dew Tour

One of Kage's favorite people is Shaun White. So the Dew Tour was in town last week and we decided to head downtown and watch. They had all sorts of activities going on outside. One of the activities was to get autographs from some of the BMX dirt bike riders which we watched later on that night (see last picture).

Kage also took a turn on the dirt bike course they had set up.
For a fifteen dollar donation to charity you could get a haircut by the Paul Mitchell students. David was in need of a hair cut so we decided to go for it. After forty minutes, four different people doing the cut David walked away with a not so great cut.

We did see Shaun White but I didn't get any good pictures. He was very cool to watch but the BMX dirt bike was probably the most fun event we attended. It was a long day but we had a lot of fun.

David turns Twelve

I can't believe that David is twelve now. We celebrated his birthday the weekend before by going to Lagoon. The day before his birthday my parents took him (and Kage and I) to Texas Road House for dinner.
David wanted a checkerboard cake for his birthday. This was the best I could come up with.
David got a bike at the beginning of August that counted as part of his birthday. The only other thing he asked for was a rock tumbler (which three weeks later is still running but doesn't have any polished rocks).

Start of School

School started on August 23. Here is the annual picture on the front porch on the first day of school.

Monday, August 22, was our fourteenth anniversary. Kelly sent me these beautiful flowers.

The Saturday after school started we went to Lagoon for the day. This was what David wanted to do for his birthday.

Sea Base

One Saturday in August right before school started we went out to a place in Grantsville called Sea Base. It is a Salt Water spring that they have turned into a spot people can snorkel and scuba dive in. It was a little expensive but they had some tropical fish that you could see. It would have been better but the water was murky that day.

David enjoyed getting an Asian pedicure. They have these little fish called mollies that when you put your feet in the water they come and pick any dead skin off your feet. David had a scab on his ankle and they really went to town on that.

St. George

In the middle of August we went to St. George with My mom and dad and my sister Chelsea and her husband DJ. We drove down Friday to see "The Little Mermaid" at Tuacon. It was a very fun play and had great special effects.

On Saturday we spent the day time at Sand Hollow. Chelsea, DJ, my Dad, and Kelly were all scuba diving. While they were diving the boys played on the beach. David caught this craw dad.
My mom and I also go to do a little scuba intro class and tried it out for a little while.
Saturday night we went and saw "Grease" at Tuacon. Kelly and Kage and my Mom and Dad enjoyed Grease even more than Little Mermaid.
