Gordyville Rodeo 2012

This past fall we headed back out to Gordyville for the Rodeo.
Jillian was super pumped about riding the pony, my little cowgirl.
Brock on the other hand, had to work himself up to go for a ride...
He didn't go the first round.

Ok, Mom....
I took some deep breaths.
I'll go now.

Just don't expect me to look at the camera while you try to take my picture.

Then the kids did the boot race... actually I don't know what you call it.
But they take one shoe off and race to be the first one to put it back on.
They had so much fun.
When it was all over, I was so nervous they wouldn't know what to do or where to go, and they were among the last few off the arena floor.  I was hollering and hollering for them and Brock just wasn't coming.  Finally he heads my way and come to find out, he was just trying to help this little girl who couldn't find her mommy.  He is just so stinkin' sweet and sensitive like that, always looking out for others.  I sure hope he doesn't outgrow that character trait.  I love that about him, how caring he is towards others.

Fun times....
Probably my favorite...the clown.
Hysterical.

Anita Purves Nature Center Field Trip

I can hear the ocean!!!

We were lucky enough to spot 5 deer.

I am so thankful that I'm able to go on Jillian's little field trips with her preschool.
We recently went to the Anita Purves Nature Center and had a lot of fun being outdoors and with her little friends.

Jillian's Preschool Open House

Jillian had her Open House at Preschool and did a great job!
They sang a few songs and then we got to enjoy some cookies and juice.
She was lucky to have both sets of grandparents and brother there to watch.
And it all happened on our 9th anniversary!
After watching her perform, we had to to wrap up the night with a parent teacher conference at Brock's school to hear how great he's doing in school.
Never would have thought 9 years ago that I would be celebrating our anniversary by doing fun parent things, but I wouldn't change it for the world.

Church Fall Fest 2012

My Blue Lego Brick and Cookie Crumb LaLa Loopsey

The kids had such a fun time at our church's fall fest.
Brock was a blue lego and Jillian was a LaLa Loopsey this year.
BIG thanks to my mom for making Jillian's outfit!
They got to participate in lots of games and of course face painting, where even Miss Ruth Ann had to get in on the action.
They also had fun hanging out with fellow LaLa Loopsey's, Kinley & Dacey.

CIRCUS!

Just another perks of the job...
FREE circus tickets.

We all headed out to the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus and had a blast!
The kids got to participate in the pre-circus festivities, including the limbo!
Pretty much the highlight of the show were the elephants.

Fire Station Field Trip

Jillian's Pre-School class got to go on a field trip to the fire station.
She had fun learning about fire safety and checking out the fire trucks.
