Just Like Daddy

TJ got a stocking hat for Christmas so he could be just like Brock. They are so stinkin' cute. I think Brock likes Daddy's hat better than his own.

4-Wheelin' It

Just a few shots of Brock on his new 4-Wheeler.

Look Out World

Brock got a very cool 4-wheeler from Moie and Papaw for Christmas. He LOVED it! By the end of gift opening time, he almost had it figured out how to make it go by himself. It was probably a good thing we had him open it up first because it kept him entertained while we opened gifts. (Ok, so I didn't realize it was going to be sideways when I was downloading, but you get the idea!)

Schlittler Family Christmas

Well, it was another eventful Christmas this year! It was a lot different this year since Brock could actually enjoy all of his presents. We spent Christmas Eve day at TJ's parents' and then Christmas Eve night at my grandparents'. These pictures are from TJ's parents' house. Brock racked up in the gifts department! Our little family of three.... not for much longer.

The Schlittler Gang - Danny, Kindi, Moie, Brock, Papaw, me, & TJ. (And let's not forget Maggie!)

TJ got a pair of earmuffs from his mom and dad. Brock thought they were pretty neat!

Just Chillin'

I couldn't resist adding another picture...

Santa Baby

Big Boy Trike

Brock got a red radio flyer tricycle for his birthday from me and TJ. He LOVES it! I think we might be in trouble once his legs can reach the pedals! ( I think TJ LOVES it, too!)

December Birthday Boys

TJ turned the big 3-0 today! We celebrated by going out to eat at Red Lobster. Brock of course had to steal the show at the restaurant. I can't tell you how many people stopped by our table on their way out to visit with him. He's a little charmer. He's such a cheese-ball and this picture really shows it! Check out that mouth full of teeth! Here's TJ blowing out his candles. I really had the best intentions making this birthday cake for TJ. I was so excited to try and make it with two layers. Well, I let them both cool down before icing, but when I went to put the top layer on, it cracked big time in the transfer. Talk about a let down. It looked bad when he got home from work, but by the time we got home from Red Lobster, it just looked like a big, gigantic mess. My only saving grace....it really did taste good. (thank goodness!)
What a disaster. I never claimed to be a Betty Crocker. This makes me SERIOUSLY doubt even attempting to make Brock's first birthday cake like I was planning. I had very high hopes for a super cute cake for him, but do I risk it after this catastrophe?

Almost ONE!

I took Brock last night to get his 12 month pictures taken and he was such a good boy! He really did do a great job. Here is just a preview. Check out those curls in the back. I can't believe it is only a matter of days before he turns one year old!

Dig Right In!

The other day at Grandma's house, Brock was getting a little impatient waiting for his lunch, so to distract him Grandma thought she'd let him play with an apple. Well.... when lunch was ready he didn't want me to take away that apple. He had already started chomping down on it and was actually eating it! It was quite interesting trying to get bites of food down him between bites of that apple.

11 months

It's hard to believe that in less than a month my little boy will be one year old! I can't believe how fast time flies! I can remember everything about the day he was born very vividly, maybe that's why it's so hard to think it was almost a year ago. His walking is getting quite good, he can actually power walk. He's very fast sometimes. His hair in the back is getting a little long, but you can't really tell since it curls up. In the bath though it looks like he has a mullet. He can even sing E-I-E-I-O with one of his toys. I went to the Dr. the other day and he was sitting in his stroller being as cute as ever and he started singing. The nurse was like, that sounds like E-I-E-I-O. I was like, Oh my goodness, it is! Other people can actually tell, not just my mommy ears! So proud.

Do I Really Need to Explain???

Here are just a few photos of why you cannot leave a 10 month old unsupervised...

On Halloween, he decided he better see if he could fit inside the bar stool. He got a little nervous when he wanted to get out.

Any guesses on what that unknown substance is around his little mouth???? If you guessed lint from the dryer give yourself a good pat on the back! I leave him alone while I do e-mail, he gets into paint. I bring him in here with me while I do e-mail and he gets in the garbage and eats dryer lint. Seriously, what am I going to do when there are two of them?????

A Harding Homecoming

This past weekend, Brock and I went down to Searcy with my mom and dad to see Aunt Ashley for Harding's Homecoming. We had a great time while we were there and got to see some familiar faces. Uncle Dustin and Stacy got to come down and we got to meet their little maltese poodle, Barley. She was so cute. Plus, I got to see Cori and Jason and their sweet girl, Rylee. I can't believe how grown up she's gotten since April when I saw her last! It was so good to see them, except it just made me miss them and Texas that much more. We went to see the football game where HU beat the Wonderboys of AR Tech. Then we had a little birthday party for me with cake and ice cream...YUM. That night, Mom, Dad, Ashley, and her friend Rachel, and I went to the musical, The Wizard of Oz. It was really good! Their special effects seem to get better and better every year! Uncle Dustin got stuck with babysitting duty, which was an adventure. It was such a great weekend! Brock has to be the BEST little traveler ever. The drive was far, but he was such a trooper. He didn't fuss once! How blessed am I?

Happy Halloween!

Brock spent his first Halloween as a little kangroo. We had both sets of grandparents over for dinner and to help us pass out candy. Who wouldn't want to spend time with the cutest little kangroo in the world? I think Buddy liked Brock's costume seeing as he kept trying to eat Brock's baby kangroo in his pouch.

10 Months Old

Brock is 10 months old and WALKING! It seems recently he has done so many new things. He's got 4 teeth up top and 4 on bottom. He is starting to dislike baby food more and more everyday. He's all about the grown-up food! I just can't believe how much he can get into. You have to keep your eye on that boy all the time! I went to check my e-mail the other day and while I was doing that, he managed to get into his room and find the paint that TJ had been using and was just having the best time splashing all around in it like it was finger paint. It's amazing he didn't eat it! It was all over his NEW outfit and let's just say the carpet didn't fare well at all. TJ & I's arms hurt from scrubbing. People say we should have taken pictures, but at the time, that was the LAST thing on our minds! It will definetly be a fond memory though! Plus we still have the yellow tinged carpet as a constant reminder.

Let's Give the Boy a Hand

Brock has discovered how to clap his hands! It was so funny to watch him figure it out. He was just sitting there playing with Buddy's ball when all of a sudden he just started clapping his hands. He thought it was hilarious! It's TJ actually making the clapping sound in the background, but by golly, he's got it! We're so proud. Just click play!

The Great Pumpkin Patch

Brock got to visit a very cool pumpkin patch this weekend with Grandma, Aunt Ashley, and her friend, Rachel. We went to the Great Pumpkin Patch in Arthur. Come to find out it has been featured in Martha Stewart's Living Magazine. It was amazing! Brock had a good time as we pulled him around in his little red wagon. He enjoyed getting down and checking out all the scenery. I betcha next year he'll LOVE it even more when he can actually walk around and check things out first hand. We took home a few "fairy tale" pumpkins as they are called. TJ thought they were fake. Now if I can just keep our pesky squirrels away from them we'll be all good.
