Ballerina Macy

To say the least... Jehanne and I got a little bored yesterday and these are the result. I have been wanting cute pictures of Macy in a tutu for a while. I really think that she is going to be a ballerina some day (or least I am going to put her in ballet classes for me). Macy is still an angel and sleeps through the night. Her naps during the day are a little random but she is a happy girl. I feel like this last week she has developed tons. She got two teeth (within two days of each other), learned to roll over from her back to her front (she is all over the floor now), can sit by herself, and can even stand for a few seconds if she is holding on to something. She was adorable leaning over the edge of her crib today. She loves to go swimming, for walk in her stroller, and watch basketball with her daddy. Tim keeps saying that she is going to be a dentist as well (she picked up a toothbrush off the counter this morning and started to brush her teeth just like her daddy).

Macy's First Tooth

A new part of Macy took life this afternoon. It was a day that started out just like any other. We went to the grocery store to do our normal shopping... just like any other week. Macy started to cry. We didn't have a binki on us, and we hadn't paid for the strawberries yet (or anything else she could have sucked on), so I stuck my pinky in her mouth to calm her down. And then... It happened. As her tongue curled back, my pinky swept accross a spiky little stump. It was white. It was hard. It was enamel. And just like that... a tooth was born.

Pay It Forward

I am so excited to do this little pay it forward action. I need something to do with all of my crafts! So, reply to this post and I will make something exciting for you. A surprise of course but it will be good. Just wait! I'll take comments until Wednesday next week... I'll draw out of a hat to see who wins (or which three of you that is). Feel free to leave me suggestions on what you want if you win!

BBQ Birthday Bash

I remember writing about a year ago when all my friends seemed to be pregnant. It was kind of fun because we got together and took a picture of the 9 of us pregnant girls standing in a row(minus Lisa Garlock).
Now, nine months later here we are!

Quin Doty (nine months), Shelby Coombs (seven months), Cooper Hanson (seven months), Caden Head (six months - not pictured), Macy Schmidt (five months), Sawyer Garlock (four months - not pictured), Weston Saunders (three months - not pictured), Elliot Roa (three months), and Elsey Clark (two months).
Babies and Daddies - Paul and Elsey, Caleb and Shelby, Anthony and Elliot, Chris and Cooper, Tim and Macy, Bryce and Quin.

The purpose of this bash was really a birthday party for Bryce and Chris-- Happy Birthday Guys... To go along with the theme of the party, Stephanie (being the creative cake master) made this amazing cake.

Just chillin' in the greass -- Quin, Shelby, Macy, and Cooper.

Macy sitting up by herself for the first time in the grass... I think she had a death grip on the grass that kept her balanced.

Sunny Days at the Pool!

As the temperature hit the upper 80s (the last temperature thingy we saw said 89), we decided that it was time to pull out the swimsuits and get a little sun on our pasty white skin. Macy is a natural and can't help but smile as she wiggles around in the water. She loved to play, kick, and squirm. It was kinda of sad though, we got the cutest little Janie and Jack swimsuit (supposedly a 6 - 12 month) but at the rate she is growing, it won't last much longer.

More Zoo-

The zoo has become one of our favorite sunny day activities. This time we went with Jehanne and Elliot. Having never lived in the states we were with her to experience her first encounter with bears, wolves, and elk.

Here are just a few of the amazing animals we saw... They even had this cool shrieking owl out for a close up look. It was so tiny.

Cinco De Mayo & More

We had a delicious dinner for Cinco De Mayo tonight with the Roa's. Hurray for Costa Vida copy cats. The pork is to die for. (Here is a link to the recipe, if you are interested -- http://sharefamilyrecipe.blogspot.com/2008/11/cafe-rio-pork.html) We finished the evening off with a nice game of Truco (an Argentine game that Tim has been obsessed with the past week). We took this cute picture of Macy and Elliot tonight. They had their first sleep over in Macy's crib. Aren't they adorable? Such good kids. We have really been blessed.
I made curtains for Macy's room last week. They turned out better than I could have imagined. I'm in love with the big polka dots right now, Enjoy!

Five Months.

15-1/2 lbs.
25-1/2 in.

Oh, how I love this little girl! Macy is such an easy-going baby. She loves to eat (rice cereal is her favorite) but the face she makes with the sweet potatoes is priceless. She doesn't really like to play on her stomach but on her back she could play for half an hour without a care. She loves playing in the exersaucer and can get her fingers around toys. She loved her rattle on the plane and would cry when I took it away to go through security. She loves to grab things, especially my hair and to pull her bow into her eyes. She can sit up by herself for a few seconds and gets more balanced every day. She loves to talk as she goes to sleep and still sleeps like an angel at night (a solid 11 hours). Macy still smiles all the time and giggles too. Soon, she will have two teeth for her daddy to brush.
All the Jones' were home for Madison's Baptism. Macy even got to ride on Great Grandpa Jones' huge golf cart, ride Shiba, and hang out with her aunts (in her I LOVE MY AUNT pajamas).
