Arizona!

We recently spent a whole wonderful week in Arizona! Can I say it was blissful?  The sun was shining, the food was delicious, and the company fantastic. It was a great change from the cold, snowy world of Moses Lake.

Our flight down was delayed a few hours, but we had some great company with Anika and her boys. Macy loved having somebody to play with at the airport. We were so excited to finally get to Mesa (It was one o'clock in the morning) that we almost didn't realize that we were missing a bag!  (Which ended up not arriving until Monday (four days after we arrived)... but I got some new clothes in the process, which worked out well in the end!)

We did so many fun things during the week that we were there but the pictures help explain it all the best!

Friday, Tim spent the day in Scottsdale taking a CE class about mini-implants; while I went shopping with my good friend Lisa. (It worked out extremely well that I just happened to need some new clothes!) We miss you our good friends (all of you!) but it was great to be able to spend some time catching up. I love that we can just pick right up where we left off the last time we visited. We also got to spend a majority of Sunday with Ty, Lisa, Weston, and Ashlynn!

Monday night, we went to a good old fashioned CIRCUS!  The Circus was awesome complete with flying trapezes, motorcycle cage riders (even a 10-year-old boy), and a guy getting shot out of a rocket!

Macy got to see all of her cousins (Ivy, Lucy, Eli, Macy, Amelia, Aunt Sarah, and Sydney)

Tuesday was Valentine's Day! Macy got a few little presents (she loved her headbands so much that she wore two of them, she kept stealing Sydney's).

Tim and I got to spend some time in the Mesa Temple (The temple we were married in almost seven years ago. It's crazy how time goes so quickly!) followed by some delectable Charlestons for lunch. Yum. It makes my mouth water to think of their homemade croissants and honey.

We played in the warm rain!

Macy really wanted to run around with an umbrella.

My little girl is getting so big! She started talking while we were here.  She now says Mama and Dada.

Fun in the rain!

Friday night, Papa Schmidt took Macy to Build a Bear. She loves her little Bella Bear!

Wednesday was a really productive day! Tim and I spent the morning hitting some golf balls at the driving range.  (Tim got some new golf clubs for Christmas and had to try them out. After spending Saturday playing a round of golf with his dad he wanted to try out some of his skills at the driving range.)  We followed up the driving range with some delicious In'N'Out for lunch and then a movie. It was the girls' first time going to the movie theater and Macy really enjoyed it! We saw The Muppets. It was fabulous and Tim keeps singing the songs from the movie. His favorite is "Muppet or a Man."

To finish our trip out strong... we went to a Phoenix Suns Basketball Game. It was awesome. Even though the suns lost in the last few minutes of the game. Tim and I had a fantastic time!

Thanks AZ Schmidts for a fabulous vacation. We love you!

Saige's Baptism!

Hailey Saige Gonzalez

Jade Taylor's daughter, and one of our closest friends, was baptized this week.  It was especially special because she asked Tim to perform her baptism.

Saige (we used to know her as Hailey) is such a sweet heart.  She loves to run around and be wild with Macy, and is a great substitute big sister to Sydney.  Saige is super athletic (the only 8-year-old I know that can do a pull-up) and loves dance and gymnastics.  She is sweet and funny... We love you Saige!!

Syd 11 Months

My little girl is growing up!  Syd turned 11 months on Saturday. I can't believe she is going to be 1 next month. It is coming way too quickly!

A little info about our Syd:

- Crawls like a beast! She is super fast and doesn't let anything get in her way.
- Took three steps but doesn't have the balance to really start walking.
- Takes two awesome naps during the day but has trouble sleeping all night.
- Loves to eat anything we eat, yet still loves her bottles as well.
- Wears 12-18 month clothes but has tiny little feet.
- Likes to pull her own hair and forget about wearing headbands.... They're too much hassle. In fact, many ponytails end up falling out while she sleeps.
- Likes to put her plate on her head while she eats.
- Started talking while we were in Arizona last week. She now says mama, dada, and yeah.
- Responds to Hi with a wave.
- Loves to give hugs.
- Her favorite place to play is in the movies and is content only when all of the movies are on the floor.
- Loves to Smile!
- Gets this really cute face when she's angry. She likes to clench her fists and jaw! It makes us laugh.

Cheese!

Trying to take her headband off!

A little lounge lizard. She loves to lean back on things and stick her tummy out!

Macy wanted a pretty picture too!

Yum....

What happens when you give all of this ice cream to...

Syd? (It was her first taste of sweets)

Olivia? After finishing off four of the above mini cones, Tim talked her into shoving all of the cones into her mouth.
Tim? After getting Olivia to shove her cones in her mouth. He then proceeded to do it himself!
Jade and her girls came over to celebrate Saige's 8th Birthday. Happy Birthday Saige!

Super Bowl 2011

We had a great superbowl filled with great friends, good food, and a lot of great football!

Ice Skating

With a beautiful sunny day, we made the most of the opportunity and headed over to the public ice rink in town! Tim has been talking about going ice skating for months and was really excited to use his $5 garage sale ice skates.

Syd was a little distraught that she couldn't get on the ice with Macy and Tim but snuggled up nice and warm in her stroller with me!

Girls Night

Living in a small town, we get really excited when there are any new stores that come into town. (You should have seen the lines at Big Lots a few months ago!) To help invite people to come visit this new pottery store downtown; the Art In The Garden threw a girl's night. It was fabulous!

Joy, Meghan, and I spent a good four hours painting pottery, eating snacks, and relaxing (away from the kiddos!) It was so much fun!  I made a little star bowl (grey and yellow) and Joy and Meghan made little heart dishes!  I hope they turn out. It was awesome!
