Wedding/Baptism

With Tim's calling as Ward Mission Leader, we get to participate in all of the new convert baptism in the ward. Just today we got to see Cody and Heather get married and then baptized. What a wonderful experience to be able to be a part of their conversion and experience their joy.  Macy and Syd don't really understand what's going on yet but Macy is always excited to be able to go to Church of any kind (even baptisms).

The happy couple.
My sweet Macy Face with little flowers in her hair. I love trying new hair styles.

Macy was in heaven running around in the field behind the church while Tim took pictures for Heather and Cody.
Velma and Sydney. Velma is one of the special newly returned members that join us for FHE and other fun events. The girls just love Velma and Velma always tells them that they're sweet like sugar.
Syd was on a rampage and could only be contained with this little chair that she found in the nursery across the hall. Crazy cheese ball!
After the baptism, Macy was found wandering off in my shoes.  She looks so grown up. (I just wish I would have gotten her face in this photo).

Seattle - WSDA Convention

Tim had another conference, so we spent another few days out of town... this time was in Seattle. It was only a three day affair, but we made the most of our time.

Immediately after checking into our hotel, we rushed downtown to catch a Mariner's game. It was a  good game but the Mariner's lost.
While Tim was in class all day Thursday we spent time at the zoo.
We saw the Komono Dragon.

Made some elephant poo paper.  Macy wasn't so sure about the whole process.
Got to pet some goats in the petting zoo.
Macy acted like a flamingo.  I think it was one of her favorite animals.

The girls really enjoyed the zoo.

Friday, Courtney and her kids came up to play with us. We went downtown to visit Pike's Market.
Macy and Connor were really excited to see each other.
We rode the carousel down on the wharf.

Picked up some beautiful flowers and fairy wands.
 Enjoyed the wonderful sunshine.
and then our trip couldn't be complete without a trip to Anthony's down on the wharf as well. The best fish and chips I can think of. It is so Yummy!
Thursday night, Tim bailed on us to attend another CE class at the Columbia Center Tower (that big black building in the distance). It is the tallest building in Seattle and he got to eat dinner on the 75th floor (the top level). He said he knew that it was fancy when he walked into the bathroom and saw an electric shoe buffer.

Wallowa Lake

It was nice to get out of our little desert and experience what the Northwest is really about (rain and evergreens). Camping was fun but it was sure cold and we got dumped on. But it didn't stop up from getting out on the canoes we borrowed from friends and it certainly didn't stop us from fishin'.  All together we caught some 50 trout, and two Kokonee salmon. It was perfect timing because it was apparently statewide free fishing weekend, no license needed. Macy even had a blast and loved to reel them in. At first at dinnertime, we told Macy that the fish was chicken so she wouldn't be weirded out when we ate it.

Memorial Day

With the Hand, Foot, and Mouth outbreak, we debated about whether having a BBQ this year was really worth it... in the end we had a little BBQ with our friends who were willing to brave the risk of disease.

We combined our weekly FHE with the elders and recent converts and had good food, good company, and great fun!

Syd loves corn on the cob and happily chomped away at the cob for most of the evening.

Jade, Russ Brown, and Elder's Anderson and Brantley playing bocce ball.

Macy and Olivia having a blast in the wind.

Syd tried to help Tim start the fire.

Elder Anderson thought it would be fun to sit in the kids' chair and have to complete the look with a little juice box.
