Cutie Pie

All dressed up and ready for church this little cutie had to put her sunglasses on.

Week 3 -- House

It's amazing how fast it starts to look like a house. This picture was taken a mere two days after the last one and now the roof is completely filled with plywood and you can walk through the inside and tell what it is going to be.

Butterflies -- Botanical Gardens

The girls and I were invited by Grandma Peggy to go to see the Butterfly Exhibit at the Desert Botanical Gardens.  We enjoyed some beautiful desert landscape.

The flowers on the cactus were in bloom and very pretty.
Macy was hot and wanted to stop on the bench for a short rest.
The awesome face statue that Tim would have loved.
 The girls! Aren't they cute?
Inside this huge tent they had hundreds of different butterflies.  The butterflies were everywhere and continually landed on Grandma Peggy's shirt.

 Macy face as a caterpillar.
The butterflies were awesome and the girls loved seeing them.  We followed up our morning adventure with some delicious pizza at CiCi's pizza with grandma Peggy.  We are so excited to have family close by that we get to spend so much time with.

Phoenix Zoo

Mike and Jill gave us tickets to the Phoenix Zoo for Christmas and we just now got to use them.  We've been waiting for a free weekend when the weather isn't too hot.  The girls love the zoo and we used to go all the time and are so happy to be able to have a zoo close again.   Macy's favorite animal was the flamingo and she loves to try standing like them on one foot.  Syd loves the monkeys probably because she acts like one all of the time.

All of the shows were cancelled the day we were there so there were a bunch of animal out on the grounds that the girls could meet.  This was a snake that Macy got to touch.
 The giraffes.

Syd was mesmerized by the gorilla taking a nap under the bamboo leaf.
The spider monkeys were really cool and one jumped right in front of us to head to a different tree.

Who knew milking a cow could be so much fun?

Driving the tractors.  The girls like to drive anything at all.

Extended Birthday Celebrations

We don't just cut our cake here, we CLEAVE it!
Syd destroying her ice cream cake in it's deliciousness.
 The birthday boy!
Macy giving her daddy a birthday hug after telling him that he was the best dad in the whole wide world because he plays her like a guitar.

Tim's Birthday Memories

I have to post these somewhere so we don't lose them.  This is purely for our benefit to be included in the blog book so bear with me.

It was awesome... I made little I mustache you a question sheets that we listed these on:

Tim has always been supper cool to me ever since we were kids. I wont ever forget the good times we had growing up as roomies (like annoying Mike and Paul on Sunday nights until they came out to beat us up, or putting trash down the "poop hole" of our water bed). Even when we were older, Tim was never too cool for his little bro. I have a lot of great memories hanging out with Tim and a few of his best friends (I'm gunna ram'm, Doughnut Hole, Kwon's Freezer...). Last but not least, Tim has always been a great example of being kind, fun, and doing whats right; I still want to grow up to be like my big brother. Happy birthday Tim!! Love ya!!  - Nate Schmidt

Staying up way late and putting the toilet brush we got for Dad in a pop bottle and decorating it with beads. (There's a picture of that one)
Going to Sesame's Doughnuts at 11:30 at night to get doughnut holes and then staying up with Courtney and Ashley to enjoy watching the Cosby show.
Hiding Easter baskets all over the house and the shop. It was great watching him find his up on the hook in the highest place possible in the shop.
Love you Tim!  - Kaytlen Jones

my only memories of you guys are as a missionary. Im sure anyone who has been a missionary knows that you constantly watch people and how they act. First off i would like to say i look up to Tim in many ways. orgaization, enthusiastic, makes work fun... but overall i remember watching him and seeing how much he cared about his family, it really showed by his actions and from what he said. Thanks Bro Schmidt for all you did for me.
Remeber the time when...
You punched Elder bull after he ate a pea and hit him into the wall.
We had a 4th of July party at your place
Flying kits at the park and it pulled so hard that it pulled me over and gave me grass stains on my church cloths
All those FHEs at your house. you really did serive with all your heart might mind and strength.
Thank you!!  - Nate Grenko

Camping and Fishing at Wallowa last year in the rain. We had so much fun even though the weather didn't cooperate. Having family together is always a great time to play games, eat, and be entertained. Remember playing games in the Yurt with everyone in a circle. We love you Tim.                         -Arlin and Susan

Tell Tim that super bowls, family home evenings, and backyard Bbqs will not be the same without him(and you of course!) Thank you for being such good friends to us, and we miss you! Love Tyson, Meghan Jack and Bobbo.

When I was little I always looked up to Tim. He and his friends used to make the funniest movies and play the coolest games. He was a good sport for letting me play with them sometimes even though I know I just got in the way. I always wanted to grow up and be just like Tim but in girl form. As I grew up I didn't care so much about the fun movies and games, but I still find myself wanting to be a little more like my awesome brother Tim.  -  Becca Calton

Besides Tim offering to let me spoon with you two at night. I just always think of me and him sitting in the hallway downstairs just chatting about life. Discovering its mysteries and figuring out the problems of the world. I'll always cherish our late night chats. Oh and the time I pied him in the face. Delectable as was the first! Tim's the best! Happy birthday Timmy!   - Ashley Jones

Memories of Tim:
1.     Quieres Leche?? Video a hilarious video for Spanish class…a  natural classic.
2.      Weird Al Yankovic, convert (by ourselves) in our old room. Dancing and singing along to weird al while jumping on the bed.
3.      Diarrhea cha cha cha….. Tim and I beat nate and mike in an epic mud football game in at AOA in Misosuri (visiting Grandpa and Grandma Decker on their mission)
4.     Pretending we were flying x-wing fighterships as we ran across Disneyland in 1987.
5.     Chickaboo… in 1986 I proudly brought home a baby chicken hatched at school. Young 3 y/o Tim wanted to hold the chick like a big boy, accidentally squeezing to tight. Sadly my baby chick died. Tim haunted me for years by chasing after me shouting “CHICKABOO.” – Paul Schmidt

The memories of Tim that I have are playing Mario Kart with you guys. Playing any games pretty much. He is lots of fun to play games with. We miss having you guys so close. The big Cheese is one game I really remember. That was fun…. Oh! And getting doughnuts at two in the morningJ and the boat dance with voodoo doughnuts.  – Courtney Hokanson

One great memory that I have with Tim is when I was little and he was a teenager we would make rolls and cinnamon rolls together and he would call me his little apprentice. – Sarah Schmidt

A great memory I have with Tim is playing smash brothers with Nate, Dave, Tim and I. Playing down stairs on sunday nights trying to be quiet and hide it from Dad and Mom, while playing "Kerby Wars". Tim being the yellow "sun god" kerby and playing on the cloud level with the only the "down A". Of course loser had to make cocoa shakes for everyone and it was usually Dave or myself, but usually Dave haha. It was great times until we would hear the ankle cracking of Dad coming down the stairs haha. Love you Tim   - Matt Schmidt

Tim has always been happy & fun-spirited. When we were much younger, little Timmy would always laugh when we disobeyed and Dad gave us spankings... which would usually only make Dad even more angry - resulting in more spankings. He even thought it looked like so much fun when I was giving Paul a swirly (which is when you put someone's head in the toilet flush it) that he asked for one himself. LOL I really enjoy Tim's love for life and his happy disposition. He is a great brother and friend.  – Mike Schmidt

1. Playing "I'm Gonna Ram Em" by sneaking into the church late at night when we were in high school.

2. Filming half of a movie with the neighborhood until we got bored. We made about six halves.

3. Becoming the talk of the church when you got caught while we were doorbell ditching.

4. TP'ing houses and calling each other by different names because we heard they had audio surveillance.

-Kasey

I met Timothy in dental school through another mutual friend, Tyler. Tyler and I were in a lot of the same small groups and then Timothy and Tyler became friends and then from that point on we became a trio. I remember very few days in dental school that didn’t include Timothy. We would spend time playing Sudoku, talking politics and solving the big old health insurance medical coverage problems. We had it figured out!
I think one of the funniest memories was when Tim, Tyler and I had to drive across town to go to a public health clinic to get some immunizations (not sure why we actually went there!) but us three squeezed in to his Toyota truck and we missed the turn off and hopped the curb and lost a hub cap that went whizzing down the street. We had to get it of course and dodged traffic to find it! I think we recovered the hub cap!
Also remember pulling an all nighter and getting so tired of studying that our reprieve from the books was taking photos of ourselves jumping up to a self timer camera to get the perfect shot of us suspended in air!
Tim has been a good friend and we have many moments of building a really great friendship both together and with our families. Our children were born 3 months apart and I have been able to build the closest friendship with his wife, Brittany.
Timothy I wish you the happiest birthday and that the next 30 are as adventure filled and fun loving as your first. You are an amazing friend and I truly adore you.
Happy Birthday.           – Calie Roa

Remember the time when we went to the duck park and you told me you think you love me!  That’s the start of most of my favorite memories.  We’ve had some great times over the past years but I love your love for life and how you add pzaas to our family.  Sliding down the pole at graduation at BYU… dancing with the girls in the kitchen, there are too many to name.  Thanks for being you and being the man I love and want to grow old with for the rest of my life.

I Love You T!

Brit

My favorite memory is the time in Moses Lake when we went shooting. We were shooting at bottles and applies and Tim totally exploded the apple and made appleasuce.

Tim's 30th Birthday

Our little Dr. Timmy just turned 30!  In honor of his special day, we thru him a surprise mustache bash. The day worked out well as Tim spent the morning with Tyler at a CE class and then spent the afternoon golfing with his dad and showed up just in time for his party.

I collected 30 different memories from all of the wonderful people that love Tim and tied them to balloons around the yard.  We even found picture to go along with most of them.  It was awesome to read all of the memories that people have of Tim.
Not the greatest picture but you get the idea.  We had fake mustaches, chocolate mustaches, and chocolate dipped oreos.
We splurged on all of Tim's favorite foods going with a BBQ which wouldn't be complete without his favorite drink, Henry Weinhardt's Rootbeer.
The photo booth was awesome... Thanks to the Jones' for putting our props together for us.  Tyler and Lisa (some of our favorite friends from dental school).
My cousin Cami with little niece Clara.
Eli and Lucy with their awesome staches.
 Mike and Eli
 Mike and Jill.
Kasey -- One of Tim's friends from High School
Me with Baby Emma (Tyler and Lisa's little girl)
The whole gang waiting for the surprise guest of honor to arrive.
Eli with a unibrow and mustache. He sure is maturing quickly.
Macy, Lucy, and Eli with their awesome photo props.
The birthday boy with the invisible man.
 Tim and Kasey
 Me and my Love

 Tyler, Kasey, Tim, and Mike
 Grandpa, Tim, Grandma Peggy.
A little chocolate mustache for after dinner treat.
My little Sydney Rae with her mustache. She really didn't want to wear it but put it on for just a sec.
Deliciousness in ice cream cake from Cold Stone.
 Grammy and Papa
Syd, gets it from me I know, my little soda drinker.
My little Macy face settling down on the blanket by the bon fire. She actually fell asleep here not too long after this picture was taken.
Lisa and I.

Tim had an awesome birthday celebration for pretty much the whole week before and after his birthday.  We celebrated with his surprise party the Saturday before his birthday and then had a special birthday dinner with his folks on Monday night before going out to dinner on Tuesday night.  His work then took him to lunch on Wednesday and the other job brought him cake on Tuesday.  We love our Dr. Tim!
