Landscaping

One of the many perks of building a new house is that we get to design our own landscaping... Of course our HOA determines which plants we can use, when we have to have it done, and get the final say in everything we do in the front but we're still excited to put our touch on our front yard. We finally submitted our plans today to the HOA and can't wait to get started in the next few weeks as it cools off.  But while we wait, we thought we would start with some citrus trees in the backyard and we can't wait for them to start producing some delicious fruit!  

 Starting in the back we have a grapefruit tree, a sweet orange (specifically for juicing), and in front a mandarin orange (supposed to be good eating oranges).

Potty Training


Our little sydney is growing up and has finally taken the plunge and worn her last diaper.  Sunday night, Syd, decided that she didn't want to wear a diaper to bed and very cautiously we let her proceed.  Monday morning, we woke up to a dry Sydney and decided that there couldn't be a better time to start the process of potty training her.  Syd did extremely well and has only had maybe three accidents in the past two weeks.  She has stayed dried at night and during her naps and we are so impressed with her self-control.  It's pretty amazing to have no kids in diapers and we're going to enjoy the couple months of freedom that we have before this other little girl is born. Syd has grown up so much in the last few months and loves to be a big helper. She sings songs, dances around like a big girl, and speaks in full sentences.  She is a joy in our lives and we are so proud of our little bum!

Dance Class

Sydney had her first day of dance class this week.  She looked so darling in her dance outfit and little dance shoes. We're excited to see her grow over the next year.
