It doesn't seem like fall until the pumpkins come out. For family night tonight we fulfilled all the pre-halloween traditions of pumpkin carving and pumpkin eating. Pumpkin Roll and Pumpkin Ice Cream. Delicious! Macy did an awesome job carving her bat (on the left) and Syd was an awesome scooper of the pumpkin guts. Let the Halloween Excitement begin.

Murder Mystery
What a good way to celebrate the halloween season with a Roman inspired murder mystery dinner party. Bogus Fortunatus and Mercedes Acceleratti joined the dinner party hosted by the Barnett's. We've never been to a murder mystery party before and it was a blast. Kate gave us a run for our money with her deception killing as Flotilla Submergia. Although everyone had an attempted assassination on their hands by the end of the night. (Thank you mom for the last minute sewing on Tim's costume to pull it all together).

Phoenix Temple Open House
We love to see the Temple. I'm loving the fact that we have two new temples around us and that we get to take the girls inside. The new Phoenix Temple is beautiful inside and out and filled with nice touches of the desert aloe plant. I'm so grateful to live close to three fantastic and beautiful places of peace and holiness.

ADA - San Antonio Texas
Tim's dental office, LifeSmiles, took off for the weekend to the ADA dental convention in San Antonio Texas. They had a great time getting to know each other better as they all piled into a big house. They spent their days in class and their nights playing. .
Tim spent my birthday at Six Flags with the girls (his fantastic team members).
Tim's favorite thing about San Antonio was the river walk downtown.
He also had a chance to meet up with some old friends, Calie and Anthony.
He also claims to have visited the basement of the Alamo?!?!?! (reference to PeeWee Herman).

11 Months
Our little Kensie is growing up so quickly. She is always our sweet heart and is slowly developing her voice and lungs. She is a crazy crawler and walks along anything she can get her hands on and pushes almost anything to walk against- yet she still doesn't walk by herself and anytime we try to get her to stand, she lowers herself down to the ground. Oh well! She gets anywhere and everywhere she wants to go by crawling. She has turned out to be a great sleeper... FINALLY! It's only taken her 11 months to get there. She currently sleeps about 7:30 to 7:00. Wahoo! That was an exciting day in our household. Kensie loves to eat real food and especially cheese. She is struggling to figure out the cup and prefers her bottle. She always seems so happy and smiley. She has four teeth still but the top canines are slowly making their appearance. She is becoming adventurous and crawls throughout the house to find the things that she wants. Her curly hair makes everyone stop and talk to her. She still loves to snuggle up in your neck but watch out because her nails are extremely sharp and she loves to grab earrings, hair, and moles on your skin. She loves her sisters but gets a little weary around Syd. (She's still figuring out how to be soft). We love our little Kensie girl and can't wait to celebrate her birthday next month.
