Ride The Ducks!

Today we rode the ducks. A vehicle that can travel on land and water. We took a tour of the Branson area and then went out on Table Rock Lake.

Bennett and Emma both had a chance to Captain the boat. They thought that was very cool!

We finished the day with lunch and a couple of cold root beers at Shorty Smalls. Tomorrow we head home. It has been a great trip but it will be nice to be home.

Silver Dollar City part 2

We had another great day at SDC. The kids had a blast! However, the energy level was not quite the same as the first day. They have played pretty hard this week.
Bennett's big accomplishment for the day was riding the "boat swing" He didn't want to try it the first day but today he was ready. He said while riding on the ride that his tummy was scared.
Emma and Bennett while watching dad on a ride.
Mom and Bennett enjoyed the bouncy bridge.

Skylar found the peak hole in her stroller today. She had another great day. We don't know what it is about SDC but she loves it. We wish she was so well behaved during meals. We have gotten several comments from diners while eating about how well she can scream. This to shall pass. Right?
We are hoping the kids will be able to adjust to not having jets in the tub when they get home. They haven't argued about getting into the bathtub once this week.

More Fun In Branson!

We had another fun day in Branson. We went swimming at the condo pool. Played a round of putt putt golf with dinosaurs, and watched the butterflies at Butterfly Palace. It was probably the hottest round of putt putt Matt and I have played since our first date. Skylar continues to do well however she was not wild about the 3D movie at the Butterfly Palace.

Skylar loved the Mirror Maze at the Butterfly Palace. Mom on the other hand did not enjoy it much at all. If she didn't have Dad telling her to settle down and that we would be out soon she may have really lost it. It is not something I care to do again.
We were able to walk through a butterfly rain forest. It was really fun to see them flying around.

Bennett and Emma were really excited to begin their round of golf with the dinosaurs.

The kids enjoyed some pool time while Skylar enjoyed a nap.

Silver Dollar City!

We are on vacation in Branson this week. I just wanted to share a few pictures of our day. We had a rough start with a huge thunderstorm but it cleared off and we had a great day! Emma's big accomplishment for the day was riding the Wildfire with dad. It is the biggest rollercoaster at Silver Dollar City. She went upside down 5 times. She was pretty proud of herself when she got off. Bennett's favorite ride was the "little roller coaster" He also went on a bigger one but, his dad said he doesn't think he opened his eyes for more that a few seconds. After a rough start to the trip (she slept for 1 hour of the trip from Manhattan to Branson and screamed for the other 4) Skylar had a great day today. She really enjoyed her time in the stroller and even got to take a train ride. I had to take picture of her actually sleeping in her car seat. Unfortunately it was five minutes before we got to SDC and we had to wake her up. The kids should all sleep well tonight.

Skylar is walking!

Well, she has been taking steps for the last week or so but she is now officially walking. She is still a little wobbly but she is on the move and getting into EVERYTHING! She has also gotten 4 new teeth in the past week. It is amazing how time flies! She is already 10 months old.

Happy 4th of July!

We had a good 4th weekend. Matt's whole immediate family was able to get together to celebrate the 4th. It had been about 3 years since we had all been together at the same time. The kids had a great time playing with their Arizona cousins. Skylar and Maddy hit it off and we think she would make a great babysitter. Skylar was pretty grumpy on Friday and we discovered Saturday she had an ear infection. We were amazed she didn't cry during this family picture. The fireworks were flying and we aren't sure who had more fun. Matt and Andy (Matt's B-in-law) or the kids. I think my vote is for the guys. In the morning light there was quite a mess to pick up.

Ally, Emma, Maddy, Matt, & Bennett take time to pose after a few firecrackers and smoke bombs in the tunnel by our house.
We enjoyed the beautiful afternoon at the pool while the men were golfing.
